It’s time for week 13 of the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge and the word for the week is “spring”. I had lots of ideas for spring, but after our Sunday night snowstorm which dumped ten inches of snow on us I had to rethink. Spring in Minnesota is always an adventure!
I can smell spring is still in the air, but for this week, it has left the ground. The first week of March, we had temps below zero. Last week it was 70 degrees, and this week we are buried in snow. We love snow, so we don’t really mind, but most humans are not very thrilled about the new white stuff.
In another six to eight weeks I will be wearing my gardening attire and be actually working with real plants and flowers.
I received a Certificate of Recognition from BlogPaws the other day for being a Best Dog Blog Finalist in the 2015 Nose to Nose Awards. I was excited, but a bit disappointed as it has my mom’s name on it and I do all the work. Oh well. I share with my sisters, now I will share with Mom too I guess. Thank you BlogPaws! It was a nice surprise!
No matter what the weather, this week I am happy as a spring chicken! Why? Because I received Look Who’s Happy all new Happy Wraps – Carrot with Chicken and Sweet Potato with Chicken flavors.
These treats are real tasty, and healthy too! Each treat is made with USA-raised, cage free whole muscle chicken, hand-wrapped around a slice of dry-roasted sweet potato or carrot. Look Who’s Happy treats, are made in the USA and never include by-products, added hormones or artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. Plus, they’re grain and gluten free.
I highly recommend Happy Wraps for all dogs in their Easter baskets this year! As you can see, they are to drool for. Please excuse the drool spots on the photo, I’m bit embarrassed.
Disclosure: I received two bags of Look Who’s Happy, Happy Wraps to review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review and I receive no additional benefits for barking about the product or the company. The opinions in this review are my own honest opinions.

We almost skipped Spring here in Florida and went straight to summer. Temps in the high 80’s. We do have a cool weekend coming I do not know what to do for the mom. She misses Panda so much and her eyes get all leaky. I missed him last night in our bed. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We are so sorry for you and your family. It is so hard to lose a family member. We all dread the day it happens here, but it is part of life we have to deal with. Be on your good behavior for a while and cuddle lots with your mom.
Thank you….
We sure hope Spring comes your way soon and you can pose with real flowers. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks. We have been enjoying the fresh load of snow, but at this time of year, it is time for spring.
I don’t know if ant place has gotten Spring this year. We all just have to drool and bear it. You seem to be making the best of it.
We’ve really enjoyed the huge dumping of snow, but it is now all a mess, so not much fun anymore.
At least your spring outfit is ready for spring – hopefully the weather follows soon.
It will be here soon, no worries.
WE love your FLOWERS…. WE are still WAITING for Spring to TRULY Arrive…. since we are supposed to have snow flurries later today… and tomorrow it will be JANUARY like temps. here.
It is cold and frozen here too, but next week the warm air returns.
Congrats on your certificate!!!! And yea, I hear ya! Still lots of white stuff here too, although the weather has been warming up lately so I think it will soon be gone.
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Our big white load is now melting fast. It will be all gone in a few days.
I like your spring adventure… we have rain that’s not much better than the snow :o) Congrats to YOUR certificate, if you win the trophy (and I hope you will win!!!) it is just for you… no sharing, it’s yours :o)
I prefer snow over rain any day, but rain is coming. I hope to win too, but just being a finalist is big.
Our spring is brown…yucky mud everywhere!
We had the mud, and then it all dried and was starting to turn green but we got slammed with snow, so mud is returning.
I love your flower pictures. Perfect in the snow.
The snow does make things nice and bright.
We are very ready for spring
Lily & Edward
With the new mess the melting is making, we are too.
Congrats on your certificate & nomination for Best Dog Blog from BlogPaws! What an inspiration you are!!
Thank you. Mom and I are thrilled!
It snowed here yesterday! But it melted by the time Mom got home… We love the snow too! Have a great day Emma. Your doodle friend Dash
We love snow, but sadly, this time of year it only makes a mess because it is too warm.
Spring will come. Here in FL it’s already getting pretty warm. Beautiful photos, Emma =)
It will be warm next week here.
spring flowers in the snow – one can keep hoping they will be real soon enough
Another few weeks and they will start popping up I’m sure.
I think you did fine with the prompt, Emma. After enduring more snow than one state should expect and reaching glacial status over the weekend, it is now expected to be 65 degrees here today. Spring/mother nature is being particularly fickle this year.
Congrats on the certificate, even if it does have mom’s name on it. 🙂
Thank you for joining the blog hop!
We are supposed to be in the 60’s next week and it is already really melting. We love it and are happy we got it, but wish it had been earlier in the year when we could enjoy it for a while.
We just love your spring outfit and the cheerful flowers! We are finally starting to get some warmth here but there’s still a lot of white. We can see some bare ground but it’s all just very dreary at this point (it’s actually raining today and we hope we’re done with the snow).
Those treats sound excellent!
We should be back to the brown grass in a few days. It is melting pretty fast.
Beautiful pictures in the snow. Way to get creative and take advantage of whatever Minnesota throws your way.
As you know, with spring in Minnesota, a dog has to be prepared for just about everything when it comes to weather.
Spring looks beautiful on you Emma!
Thank you.
Well at least you look ready for Spring. 🙂 I suspect that the 10 inches won’t stick around long. 🙂 The treats look yummy! Congrats on the award. You can’t eat it so I think you got the better deal. 🙂 Thanks so much for joining the hop!
We are really enjoying the snow, but we are ready for spring since snow this time of year is so messy.
Ya looks pawsome, but dat snow – yikes!
It’s melting fast and it was so fun when it was fresh!
Our spring is going about the same. We had snow today too.
Millie & Walter
For here it is normal to get snow for another month sometimes. Spring will come, it always does.
Oh I love your Spring photos! Those flowers are really pretty. It’s crazy how much snow you have there, but I know you aren’t complaining and love it.
We do love it and are only sad it didn’t arrive earlier so it would stay longer.
You look very pretty with your spring outfit and flowers, Emma.
Thank you. The snow actually makes a nice backdrop!
Your flowers are lovely and you make a great gardener. I am so proud of you for being a finalist in the Best Dog category. I can hardly wait to meet you snout to snout!
Just two more months, my love…Nashville will never be the same again.
Looks like this was your week Emma. Congratulations on your certificate – you certainly deserve it. Glad to see you celebrate with your treats too! Snazzy hat!
A dog always needs to have good treats around!
beautiful spring photos! and that chicken is great!
Thank you.
Here in the Prairies in Canada we got our spring Blizzard on Wednesday. Not quite spring, but hopefully just around the corner. Lovely and creative pictures.
Our snow will be pretty much gone in another day or two. Fast in, fast out!
We live in Oregon and didn’t get any snow to speak of this year, so we’re a little jealous of the fun you were having in the snow. Congratulations on your certificate!
We barely had any snow all winter which made this big storm all the more fun. We love the snow!
Emma (and yes, mom, Joy), another great photo and post! Love the props you use in the shots; super cute. Hoping Spring comes soon so you can get on with gardening and we can see you in your gardening outfit! LOL Congrats, Joy! Much deserved!
Thank you. We love doing photos, it is always a lot of fun. I will probably be out gardening in about a month. Here one can’t start too early as the weather is unpredictable!
We have still been having winter Temps below freezing during the day, so Spring has not quite made it down to us either. However on Mica’s weekend walk I did find a few tiny yellow wild flowers so maybe it is getting close!?
Spring has arrived as of yesterday. Things are warming and greening up now.
What’s wrong with gardening fake flowers in the snow? You sure look like you’re having fun but I am glad the real spring has finally come to your ‘hood.
It is hear, but just saw rain/snow showers next week. Typical April. We enjoy the good days and hope for real flowers in May.
Emma I think I would cry if it snowed here again. Good for you to keep cheery and take what comes from this crazy weather.
We love snow, but honestly, now we don’t want any more as it will only melt and make a mess. Hope you don’t get any either.
