I bet you are wondering what happened requiring us to refrain from mischief! Well…the other day, the weather was gorgeous, sunny, not to hot, not to cold and Mom said she wanted to take all three of us girls for a walk. With Katie being so slow and not able to go very far, we hadn’t all walked together since last fall.
It is really hard for Mom to take us all because of our different energy levels, but she also wanted to get some family photos, so off we went, but she specifically ordered us to leave the mischief at home. Somehow, I had the feeling the comment was directed mainly at Bailie, and slightly at me.
We loaded into the car and then drove a short distance to one of our favorite places to walk. Katie was so happy to be out in an area she hasn’t seen in a while and to be walking together with all of us again too. Despite the troubles she had walking uphill, she had a perma smile on her face the whole time.
We didn’t walk very far, maybe 3/4 of a mile in all, but it didn’t matter as we were together and enjoying a beautiful day! Mom broke her own no mischief rule by taking us down this trail which was clearly marked closed. She just can’t resist!
The whole walk took about forty five minutes because we had to walk so slow, everyone had to stop and poop (except Mom, she never does her business on walks, weird), and we did several photo stops. By the end of the walk, Bailie and I had given up and were also walking at Katie’s pace, and we never did get into any mischief. It was a lot of fun, but Mom isn’t sure if she can handle it on her own again or not. We will see!
