Last week, spring came back which got Mom thinking about flowers. She decided to go to our local flower place, Pahl’s Market, to see what they have available for flowers. It is still a bit too soon to be putting out flowers in Minnesota, but it doesn’t hurt to look.
Pahl’s has many, many greenhouses and they are all chock full of flowers right now. We like Pahl’s because it is close to our house, they have lots of good stuff, and they allow dogs. We have never seen a dog besides myself in the place, but we are allowed.
As far as a dog could see it was a sea of flowers. I also have to say it is super hot and humid in these greenhouse places. Whew! Panting was necessary most of the time, but I had my mouth shut in this shot!
Remember the watering cans from yesterday? Here they are in color. I was sniffing, trying to get them to water me, but no luck. They seem a bit counter productive as they have holes in the bottom. How weird!
We found some metal sculptures outside when we took a break to cool off. I love this dog and fire hydrant set.
I wasn’t too chicken to pose with the chickens. Such fun stuff they have. We wanted to buy several things, but unfortunately, we didn’t happen to win the lottery, so we will have to wait on the purchases.
They had a ton of geraniums in one of the greenhouses all potted and ready to go home with someone.
I like these mixed pots of flowers. Mom and I usually do something like this on our own for our planters each year. I’m excited to get my paws in the dirt and help plant in a couple weeks!
Last but not least, I got into some mischief trying to blend in with some flowers. Mom says I’m the prettiest flower in the place. I think she is nuts! That was our fun little trip to the flower market!
I am joining the Monday Mischief blog hop brought to you by Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies.
Oh my dog – our Mom would go crazy there – she loves her flowers ! You look so pretty contrasted against all the flowers
Since there aren’t any flowers outside yet really, Mom needed a dose of flowers and thought the market would be perfect and it was. I like going there to except it is like Florida in the greenhouses…hot and humid 😉
Looks like a fun trip. We don’t do many flowers anymore because we are not home to water them, or maybe our watering cans were like the ones that you saw…lol.
We have 5 big pots for the front step and deck but that is about it.
Wow, look at all those beautiful flowers and love the statues, too. That first picture of you in the greenhouse is truly amazing!
Lots of fun stuff to see at Pahls. It always changes too which makes it interesting.
You are the prettiest flower. I love looking at all the flowers, now that I re mulched all my beds I need some colorful flowers in them. Very cool metal statues. What a fun day!
Thank you. We will probably plant our flowers later next week to be on the safe side.
Your
Win the award for the most beautiful flower in the entire garden!
Thank you…blushing under my facial furs…
Nice to start seeing some color in these photos again. I think a greenhouse must be scent heaven. Tracking class in there would be tough.
Nose work classes would be fun there. We just had our elements trial in a school on the weekend and that was quite challenging.
Have fun flower shopping!!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It is “pretty” work 🙂
We never went but mom loves flower shopping
Lily & Edward
My mom likes to look at flowers more than buying them since they are so messy.
Oh my dog…are those hibiscus? If they are, my mom says they are not a good choice for your zone whatever that means. We have geraniums blooming in our yard. We have a big nursery nearby but they have only 2 medium sized greenhouses -one is for butterflies. The mom is nuts about hummingbirds and she has lots of hummingbird friendly plants. We only have a few hummers that hang out here. They like the plants rather than the feeders. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Some people put plants that don’t belong here out just for the summer. We were just looking around and they were pretty. We don’t do a lot of flowers as Mom isn’t into fussing around with them all summer.
They have cute decorations, and great flowers. I bet it smelled great too.
It has a greenhouse smell which isn’t bad at all, just hot and humid which was tough.
Emma, yo are quite the flower child! When you win the lottery, you should get that fire hydrant!
I think if we were boys we may have gotten it, but for us girls, it isn’t a top priority. Couldn’t pee on it anyway.
Your so lucky Emma! I’ve been holding myself back from going flower shopping just yet!
We were just sizing up the situation. We won’t be buying them until next week sometime.
What a great place to visit. Mom and Dad have mostly perennials so their thoughts are turning to veggies right now.
We have lots of flowering landscaping and just do a few potted things each year. Not big on gardening at our house.
I love those metal sculptures. I would love to thave that car! Too cool!
Cool stuff they have!
That looks like fun! Love the metal sculptures!
It was fun and we love those metal sculptures too.
Wow, all those flowers!!! Looks like an adventure!!! You didn’t get lost in all them, did you?!

No worries, I can sniff my way out of any jam!
What a beautiful place to visit! We love flowers!
Wow! That’s a lot of flowers. But we are more interested in that fire hydrant. Because well you know 🙂
LOL! Mom says no one would be allowed to pee on it if we did buy it. No clue why.
Great photos, the colours are so vibrant.
It sure gets a dog in the mood for flowers.
THANKS fur taking us along…. We Love to Smell the Poseys…
I think I may need a scratch and sniff website!
So many beautiful flowers, but you’re definitely the prettiest! xoxo Hope you had a fun day:)
Thank you. I think I look pretty nice with all the colors.
your Mom is brave to buy flowers now. They say in Michigan and Ohio, never to put them out til Memorial Day weekend because we can still have frost. I always wait til at least then!
We can have frost that late too, but we only have a few pots out, Mom isn’t into gardening. Later in the month it will be too busy too, so we are getting going early and can always cover them up if needed.
Oh, your Mom is right, Emma, you are definitely the prettiest flower in the place! We love a trip to the nurseries…I’m not sure if any of ours allow dogs though, I’ve never seen any there. I would like to win the lottery too so I could buy everything I want to at those places!
I’ve never seen another pup at this one either, but we always ask and we are allowed.
you are the prettiest flower. Better yet, you can walk off! LeeAnna at not afraid of color
I guess I’m not Mom’s flower child 😉
Wow, what a fun place to shop! You look so pretty in all the pics surrounded by the flowers and colorful things. Not sure Rita would be brave like you and pose by those chickens!
I’m good about posing almost anywhere any time. I just love to do photos.
What a colorful field trip! And you are the prettiest flower of them all.
Mom and I love bright colors.
Such colorful flowers and sculptures!! We wish our flower garden places allowed doggies!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
It’s hard to find a place that does, so we are lucky.
How fun that you got to go flower shopping, Emma. Our dad-guy has a garden center and the mom goes shopping there all the time but never takes us.
I get to go along sometimes and enjoy going. Lots of good sniffing there.
You are such a pretty flower child Emma!
Now I guess Mom has Katie, the old lady dog, me, the flower child, and Bailie the wild child. What a family!
My humans luv goin to look at flowers – I need to go wif em next time!
Lots of good sniffin’ in those places!
Not a good year for us with flowers. Jax has already eaten all of Doodle Dad’s tulips, and while we were in SC he demolished Aunt Laverne’s potted plants. He’s really into flowers this year!
Oh dear! My cats eat flowers, but since they are house cats, it doesn’t matter much.
I’m debating my flowers this year too, but usually I just go with Mums or Zinnias. 🙂 Looks like a cool place to visit.
They always have lots of fun stuff besides just plants and flowers.
I’m not sure the flower gardens around here allows dogs. I haven’t tried but these sure are nice photos!
Most places here don’t but a few do.
Totally in love with that metal dog-sculpture. 🙂 The rule around the front range of Colorado is wait until Mother’s Day to plant tender annual. This Mother’s Day we received rain, hail and snow (anywhere from 2-6″ of the white stuff). Here’s hoping Spring is really, truly just around the corner-not sure I can take much more of it! 🙂
We wait until after Mom’s Day here too. This weekend is looking good for planting. Last year we were driving home from BlogPaws in Vegas and had to find a different route home because of all the snow in CO. SD got 20″ yesterday!
Ouch. I’ll stop complaining now. 😉
