As part of Bailie’s Mom and me day, she got to use her PR Dog job attending the Minnesota Pet Expo. I went to two of them last year and really didn’t want to go again. Since it is free and Mom wanted to go downtown anyway, she took Bailie and went.
The best part of the whole pet expo in Mom’s opinion was the pug in the remote controlled car. This pug was cruising around the expo the entire time. Now Bailie wants to get a car like this to drive around at BlogPaws next year. I feel it would be foolish, but who knows!
Guess who Bailie and Mom met at the expo? Yep, Spencer, his mom and aunt. I met them there last year. Spencer was real busy checking out stuff in the booths, but little Bailie I heard, was trying to give him kisses every chance she got! What a silly teenage girl! If you don’t know Spencer, he is a fellow dog blogger also from Minnesota. You can check out his blog here.
After entering the expo area, Bailie drug everyone over to the wabbit agility area. Spencer was checking out the wabbits with Bailie, but didn’t seem too interested in them. I hope he isn’t ill or something??? How can a dog be so calm around live wabbits?
Bailie’s favorite part of the pet expo was the agility wabbit area. She couldn’t believe her nose! Huge wabbits behind flimsy fencing there for her to
hunt down watch doing agility. Bailie was beside herself with over excitement. She wanted a wabbit. Mom thought they were adorable and told Bailie to leave them alone. They did become a problem as every time they got near the wabbits, Bailie let out her loudest and proudest hunting call and went nuts on her leash. Way to show you are a hound, little sis!
They stopped by the PetFinder booth. As you can see Bailie was negotiating with the woman. She wanted to take home a pallet of those boxes of treats behind the table. The woman thought she was kidding, but Bailie was serious. She loves good made in the USA chicken jerky. She managed to score three bags, not a pallet ๐
How about these futons? Are they a cool idea or what? Bailie tested one out and wanted to take it home with her, but Mom said no. She tried to work out a deal for doing a review on the blog, but no luck.
The toy booth was packed with stuff, but Bailie didn’t find anything she really needed to have.
Meeting and greeting, not to mention trying so hard not to cause a scene with the agility wabbits is hard work, so Bailie settled in for a free ten minute canine massage. Sure looks like she was enjoying it!
The sausage booth was a big hit with Bailie. Her plan was to knock everything down, then do a grab and run, but it didn’t pan out, so she settled for a few samples.
Before leaving, she stopped by the bakery booth. According to Bailie, everything smelled delicious! Katie is turning thirteen on the 27th this month, so Bailie picked up a nice birthday bone cookie to give her on her special day.
Speaking of birthdays, Bailie got a surprise package from our friends, Harley, Charlie, Rachael, and Kevin, of My Dog Likes. Bailie met them all at BlogPaws and was doing a lot of huggling with Rachael. They sent her this adorable HuggleHound! Since Bailie is a hound and a huggler, it is absolutely perfect and she loves it! Mom thinks he is pretty cute too and loves his huge back paws! Thank you so much!
Hugglehound makes such a cute honking noise, and he has a crinkle tail. Bailie adores crinkle toys so he is in good paws with her!
Just a quick reminder, today is the last day to enter the Merrick Picnic Pack giveaway. Stop by and enter to win some healthy, tasty treats!
I am joining theย Monday Mischiefย blog hop brought to you byย Alfieโs Blog,ย Snoopyโs Dog Blog,ย My Brown Newfies.
Wow – what a fun day. Hank and Tim would have gone nuts over the wabbits, too!
The wabbits were definitely the highlight for Bailie!
Sounds like a fun day! Lots of new adventures.
Bailie had a real nice birthday week!
what a pawsome event… guess what? I want such a car too! And you had no idea what you could need? hmmm… then I would take all, I’m sure there is something what you need :o) I mean except from your Hugglehound… that’s a super cute thingy :o)
I think Mom might love the HuggleHound almost more than Bailie does. Bailie loves the car and wants one of her own.
Looks like you did a good job as PR Dog Bailie.
She was born for the job!
There’s no way my day gets any better than seeing a dog in a remote control car.
It was absolutely hilarious! It is a great way to make a real splash!
Bailie and I would be double trouble at that place. It looks like a pawsome good time I hope my mom takes me when it comes here. Love Dolly
I hope they have the wabbits there too and maybe you can get loose and get into their fenced area.
OMD – that dog futon looks PAWSOME! I sure wish you’d been able to wrangle a review out of them!
It was really cool, but no go. Can’t win all the time. The booths at the expo weren’t real interested in bloggers. It was odd after BlogPaws.
Wow, great job, and looks like tons of fun too!!!
แฆ husky hugz แฆ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It was interesting, but nothing like BlogPaws.
Dang, all that fun AND a sausage booth too!
Oh yeah, and cat bro Bert had his nose on the bag when they got home!
My goodness, Bailie, wish I had been with you, I would have bartered 8 samples at every food booth You, me, Emma, Katie, Hollee, Lyla, Burt, and Sophie!) I desperately want a hugglehound but some idiots have torn them up in a matter of hours! I am starting to be more nice to my toys. Finally the pug in the car…the mom could let me have her scooter which her doctor says she will not need after her back surgery. Loved the blog and thank you, Emma, for sharing. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We need that car, it would make us so famous! It sure would be a blast!
OMD! We want a remote control car…and a futon…and those treats…and the rabbit! What a fun day! โบ
Christmas is coming ๐ Make a list!
Oooh, looks like such an enjoyable day out you had here! Those agility wabbits are like lil’ versions of Earl and Ethel.
sumskersandearlskers13.blogspot.com
But Bailie wouldn’t want to hunt Earl and Ethel!
What a GRAND TIME….. WE want one of those COOL CARS!!!
You boys need a more manly racer, but this was a real chick car!
The car is great! Looks like a fun event I mean who doesn’t like rabbits?
I think Bailie’s form of like is not really what they were looking for! At least she stayed on her leash and no harm was done.
Haha! The women at the PetFinder booth clearly have never met such a skilled negotiator before! I thought you were joking about rabbit agility until I googled it just now, wow!
Heavens no! It is a real thing, and all that hopping only made Bailie all the more crazy!
Was that RABID agility – it seems to have spread all over! Bailey would need a bigger car – maybe a model Mitsubishi so she could drive her whole family around in it. Talk to Mitsubishi – it would be a GREAT promo for THEM – “A car so smooth and easy to drive, even a dog could do it”?
I think she just wanted the wabbits really badly!
Looks super fun and how great that you ran into furry family members!
The wabbits put Bailie over the edge I think!
The futon looks amazing Bailey. I could so use that in my office for Jaxy..,.
It was super nice, but we don’t really have a good place for it.
What a fun outing! Pretty sure Rita woulda woofed at those wabbits too! The pug in the car is TOOOOO cute!
The wabbits were really on Bailie’s mind and she made sure everyone knew it too!
Hi Y’all!
Did they have a bigger car that I could ride in? Or do I have to settle for the Humans chauffeuring me in the golf cart?
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I think you will have to settle for the golf cart.
I definitely thinks she needs one of those cars. There’s a garden store we go to that has free range rabbits and Mr. N loses his mind over them.
I think we are both much more into wabbits than squirrels, but we are nuts about both. I’ve learned to control myself a bit, but Bailie hasn’t learned that yet!
What a great time Bailie had at the pet expo, and she sure likes that Huggle toy too! I don’t think I’d want to even see how my crew would behave when seeing the agility wabbits!
Oh, and the car, yes! We want to see Bailie in one at BlogPaws!
The wabbits were adorable but Bailie really wanted one in her own mouth! That car was pretty funny I guess.
I want one of those cars too.
And I’d be very interamarested in dem wascally wabbits.
Almost any dog could bust down that silly fence, but Mom kept Bailie on a short tight leash!
Looked like fun. And, you got alone time with mommy.
Yep, she got her Mom and me day for her birthday.
Bailey sure had a fun time at the Expo.
Millie & Walter
She loves events like that!
How fun! We are going to attend next year. I think you should definitely get yourself a car to ride around in next year!
The biggest problem would be getting the car there.
That looks like a great outing and so much fun. The pug in the car is silly…lol.
You should have seen him in motion!
Looks like a super fun day! The snacks alone are always a good time, but a pug in a car and wabbit agility are extraordinary!
The snacks are expected, the rest of the stuff was a bonus.
Wow…Looks like Baillie had a blast!! We love the big ole smiley she has on her face for most of the pictures!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
She has a real perma smile! A very happy pup!
Looks like Bailie had a great time at the PetExpo. Got to taste treats, see Live Wabbits and get a lot of attention. So glad she had a great time. BTW, unless Aspen is going to a class I can’t get out the door with just one:)
Mom has to take us in ones or twos most of the time. Three doesn’t work with Katie anymore and Bailie and I are fine with going out alone.
OMD that pug is cute! I guess the Austin one will be back again in a few months. Not sure if I’ll go or not yet. I guess I might but it doesn’t seem too successful as far as blogging goes. Too bad you didn’t get to review one of those futons. Those things are too cool!
Every year Mom goes and every year, she says never again but ends up going. It isn’t really great, but it is fun for a short visit and being free, it is alright.
Bailie you are just the coolest dog ever. Sure wish I could stow away with Flea and sit in on the next Expo. Would love to meet all the fur babies.
Bailie says thank you. She thinks she is pretty hot stuff, teenage dog, you know!
I hope those wabbits couldn’t read Bailie’s mind – they’d probably get a bit nervous!
I’m sure they knew what she had in mind from her hunting calls she was letting out!
Thanks for the shout out Emma! I had a great time with Bailie and your mom! Especially around the wabbits! ๐ Has your mom got you guys a car yet?!?!? ๐
No car. It would be hard to have room to transport it if we did get one.
This was the last post I received through bloglovin’. If I click to get to it from there, I get a “page not found” but if I retry it comes up. So odd. I had issues with my blog last week (nightmare). I am still having issues because wordpress will not share my posts correctly to facebook. The featured image does not post. If I share once the post is already up then it is OK, otherwise I have to debug the link. There is something off with wordpress imo. We all cannot be having issues all of a sudden. No idea what it is though.
It stinks! Bloglovin isn’t liking the rss feed, so I have an email in to my IT person to see what is up with that. Very frustrating. Hopefully it will be resolved soon because it is no fun. This is the last post it is showing, and Monday is the day everything went weird on us. I’m just glad you said something so I know about it.
