Today Cascadian Nomads, Wag’n Woof Pets, and My GBGV Life are celebrating the end of Multiple Pet Mania Month with Multiple Pet Day! My cat sis Sophie is not being real cooperative, and we wanted an outdoor photo anyway, so my sisters and I decided to just celebrate with the dogs of the house!
First and foremost, I would like to thank our sponsors, K9 Bytes, Merrick Pet Care, and The Umbilical Belt! You were all wonderful to work with, you have amazing products which are so important for homes with pets, especially multiple pets, and you provided amazing giveaways this month! Please put a paw up for these great sponsors!
I would also like to personally thank, and ask everyone who participated in #MultiPetMania this month to have their humans give them a scratch behind their ears (yes, even cats like their ears scratched so make sure to include the cat). Without participants, the month would have been rather boring! It was a fun month with many posts, new friends, and lots of great ideas for multiple pet families!
Today is the day we announce the winners of our photo contest. There were quite a few entries, and the decision was a tough one, but after much going back and forth, we have selected the winners. A big thank you to everyone who entered photos! Congratulations to the winners!
First place: What a look and the sweet guinea pig in the background! Adorable multiple pet combination!

Second place: Multiple pets play together, but with three, there is often one left out!
Third place: One has to include a cat, and we all want to know what happened when Barley got down to the yard! We had a survey for Multiple Pet Month, thank you to all who bravely came out of hiding behind your plants and filled it out. The results are as follows:
- How many pets do you have? Participants have 104 dogs, 71 cats, 19 fish, 8 rodents, 8 reptiles, 4 wabbits, 6 birds, 19 horses, 3 sheep, and 1 lone goat!
- How long have you lived with multiple pets? 0-5 yrs, 11.6%, 6-10 yrs, 20.93%, 11-15 yrs, 11.63%, 16-20 yrs, 4.65%, 20+ yrs, 13.95%, as long as you can remember, 37.21%
- What’s the best part of multiple pets? A full house – 14.77%, a full heart – 42.05%, the pets relationship with me – 22.73%, the pets relationship with each other – 20.45. Other answers were, having lots of fur babies to love and adore, the relationships with the kids, everything, the wide range of activities multiple pets offer.
- As for how multiple pets effect your life: expenses were the most difficult aspect for most, time management, housekeeping, grooming, exercise & training, feeding, vacation, keeping peace were all for the majority of respondents easy.
That wraps up the month for this year! Come back and join us next year for another month of Multiple Pet Mania! I will leave you with a photo of my sisters and I along with cat bro Bert. As you can see, he loves hanging out with his dogs!
Congrats to the winners!!!! we have only one goat? oh I wish we would have more, they are funny and they smell super interesting :o)
My mom loves goats but the smell keeps her from ever owning one.

what wonderful winners and way to go to all the multiple pet homes
As you know, multiple pets make for more fun!

It’s been a fun month, Emma! Y’all have been great hosts and hostesses! I had been hoping to do a post about Ducky’s treadmill training last week, but my friend and I couldn’t get together. (She’s coming over today so maybe…)
Anyway, thanks for drawing our name for the K9 Bytes giveaway! Since Callie & Shadow aren’t tuggers, and Ducky likes to destroy toys, I decided to get some of the treats and a new blanket for Ducky’s crate. Ducky likes her blanket! And so far, they all like the treats. I brought one of the bags of treats next door to our new neighbors for their dog, Baby.
Awesome! Thanks so much for participating! It’s hard when a second human is needed for a post. We run into that predicament now and then too. We are all wearing our K9Bytes collars this month. They are great!
Sparkle the PBGV says
Congratulations to the winners! All of us in multiple pet families are so fortunate, but most of all we love our humans. XOXO Hollee, Lyla, and Sparkle the PBGV
So very true! It is wonderful to have more of our kind, but we need our humans to make the family complete!

What a fun month it has been! I love that Bert will pose with the dogs…he’s such a cool cat! 🙂
He is much more dog than cat and also the top mischief maker by far around here!
Great roundup for everyone. And that is a lot of pets!
Thank you. Amazing how many pets some have!

Love all the pictures!
Will and Eko says
I wouldn’t have wanted to be a judge, those are all such great submissions. Life is better with pets, plural!
Think how boring it was without Penny, right 😉
Dolly the Doxie says
It was a great idea what you did, I just wish we would have participated more! But we did have one post included, I guess mom was too busy taking care of everyone! Love Dolly
Maybe next year! It is hard to squeeze everything in, that is for sure!

Happy Multiple Pet Day! We enjoyed all of the posts this month, and the survey results were fun to look at. Oh, and a big ConCATs to the photo contest winners! Thank you for hosting such a fun month of events. We hope it happens again next year!
We plan to be back again next year, so stay tuned, but for now, take a catnap 😉

Oh boy! I can’t believe I missed the actual multiple pet day! haha! SHEESH! I have had such a busy last few days that it left my mind!!! 🙁 At any rate, a huge congrats to the lucky winners from the photo comp!!!

It has been a super busy month, no worries! We plan to do it again next year, so you can plan ahead!
Thanks for hosting such a fun month! We enjoyed reading all of the fun posts and seeing all of the great pictures. And to answer your question, Emma, when Barley got down to the yard, she herded Soth back up the stairs where he curled up on a chair to watch the birds at the bird feeder 🙂 I’m not sure Soth thought playing outside with his sister was quite as much fun as she did!
LOL! Cat bro Bert is not allowed outside, but he tends to escape now and then, so Mom taught Bailie to catch him. She just says, “Bailie, get the kitty”, and she tears off down the stairs into the yard and tackles him. He surrenders way before Mom even gets there!

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners! This was really interesting and so much fun to see everyone’s multi pet families, and all the unlikely pet sibling combinations! Life with multiple pets is just better; you really can’t have just one pet, can you – well, you shouldn’t anyway (-:
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Pets are like potato chips, you can’t stop at just one!
Looking good Emma!! We love being a multi family too. Just dogs for us but we are glad it’s all of us!
We would be just fine without the felines, but they do add more excitement to our lives.
Ann "Paws" Staub says
All of the winners had some really great photos! You guys probably had a hard time choosing them 🙂 And wow – 19 horses? That seems like a lot!
Well, we don’t know who answered what, but if someone is into horses I guess they may have more than a few and several did have horses.

Congratulations to the winners! Those are great photos. I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s posts on multiple pets. You were all excellent hostesses. ♥
Thank you. It was a fun event and we learned about some great new products as well.

Congratulations to the winners, and we had fun joining the hop during the month. Happy Multiple Pet Day. <3
You guys are awesome and thanks for joining in the fun!
I wish I belonged to a multi pet household, but it’s just me and the fishes, and they are boring and don’t play with me
But they do count as multiple pets…I have to agree, they wouldn’t be much fun though.
Those were totally terrific and fun too!
Thanks…got the kitty in there too!
Congratulations to the winners!
So many great photos to choose from, it was tough to choose just three.

What a great event! And great pictures!
Thank you. It was a fun month! Looking forward to next year.

What a great event – it was lots of fun to follow along. We only have two dogs, so not much multi-pet going on here. Love the winning photo though!
The winning won is great, isn’t it. Two dogs is more than one, so multi, but more does mean more crazy times.
We really enjoyed Multiu-pet month, thanks so much for hosting it!!!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
You four fit right in!

what a great month; and ht a great way to end it!
Now on to July, probably a quieter month.
we love the composition of the #1 photo!!
(Our mom wants to tell your mom thank you – so very much – for all her kind words. They are deeply appreciated!)
Your mom’s day sounds amazing, but what is important is the bond she shared with him. My mom remembers all the special moments with her dad, just sad none of us ever got to meet him.
Hawk aka BrownDog says
All the photos are priceless…but the expression on the winner! Pure gold.
Y’all come on by,

I think the winner got it right on! Mom and I love that photo too!
I love all of your pictures!! Multiple pets are a MUST in my household!! Congratulations to the winners!!
Thank you. We love a bunch of fur siblings too.

Congratulations to all the winners. What great photos – and I might add Emma, you and the others did a wonderful job putting this together. Well done.
Thanks you guys! It was fun, we all learned a lot too. Next year it should be a bit easier now that we have one under our furs.
