We dogs spend most of our lives waiting and waiting on our humans. Bailie is pretty good about being a patient girl these days.
Today, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
Very true! Ruby is very good about waiting patiently and calmly. Our cat, Rosie, not so much!
I don’t think cats have patience unless they are hunting.
My Jimmy has no patience whatsoever! He will bark and bark and bark until things go his way. Good thing he knowa what “Quiet!” means!
We are all real patient. We do get sick of waiting and give the look quite often.
Words of wisdom for this Wednesday. Very true!
That makes it a WWW Wednesday π
Aspen agrees that waiting patiently can verify very difficult.
It is tough to do, but we all seem to learn at some point.
Katie does not even get up when I come home. She could care less. Bailie has turned out to be quite the sweet girl!
Bailie is very sweet. We all get up to greet Mom when she comes home.
Well done, Bailie! Being patient can be tricky and we all have to be soooo patient with our bipeds.
She is lying like a big dog too π
I am wordless. Wait a minute…WAIT??? What’s that? XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I hope you aren’t out of howls???
I practiced howls just yesterday! The mom says I have a beautiful alto but my soprano is a little screechy! Maggie never howled so the mom loves to hear my voice. Sparkle
Bailie and I are both very loud.
Baile is growing up! I’m glad I don’t have to wait much for my mom though. Love Dolly
It seems like we are always waiting for something around here, but we don’t mind most of the time.
love the quote and the photo!
Thank you.
Torrey has more patience than Roxy, especially when it’s time to eat.
We are all very patient for food. We each have our spot and we stay there until it is time to eat.
Great photo! Wait is a four letter word around here
Not a favorite word around here, but one we have to live with.
Patience is one of life’s secrets. The more of it you have, the better your life — and the lives of those around you — will be. I lost some of mine last night with the hubby and Shadow and Ducky both went into hiding when he reacted in kind. All is well this morning though.
Yep, Mom is pretty patient, but when she goes over the edge, we know to just leave her alone! Glad the smoke cleared at your place.
Penny doesn’t fare particularly well on either count, hopefully she learns to ease up.
Bailie doesn’t enjoy being patient, but she is pretty good at it considering her wild nature.
I guess that means your little sister is growing up. She’s not a puppy anymore.
In age, yes, in maturity no. She is still total puppy and gets into plenty of trouble if the opportunity arises. She will keep getting better, though.
So true! The most challenging for Haley is when she knows we’re heading out for a walk or car ride soon but she has to be patient while we’re getting ready to go.
In that case I wait wherever I am, but Bailie hangs out by the door.
Waiting takes forever
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
It does, doesn’t it?
Waiting and patience….*sigh* story of my life LOL!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
They are hard disciplines to learn.
Mine aren’t too patient, especially when it comes to waiting for their meals.

We are very patient waiting for meals, waiting to do nose work or tracking is much more difficult.
So very true. No wonder they want to be with us when we get home. Looks like the gang and I are due for some serious quality time this week to catch up for my long work days.
Working outside the home is no fun for anyone. Hope you get some good quality time.
That photo is adorable! Look at those paws π
Little sis can be a real pain in the furs for me at times, but she is pretty cute.
oh she still looks like a baby girl with that sweet face!
Trust me, she still has plenty of baby girl in her!
Looks like an art you’ve perfected there little girl!
I think she learned that position from Katie who lays like that a lot.
Luckily, the boys don’t have to wait for us very often anymore. They are very patient when they do though.
We don’t have to wait for Mom to come home very much, but we have to wait for her to get off the computer a lot!
Waiting sure isn’t easy sometimes!
My cat bro Bert is terrible at waiting. He shreds stuff if Mom is running late!
For a cat, Athena is quite patient. Not her mummy though π
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
Our kitty Sophie is patient, not Bert, though.
Waiting is not one of Sophie or Jasper’s strong suits, I’m afraid. With me working from home, they never have to wait too long. Maybe that’s the problem?? π
Because Mom works from home we have to wait until she has time to do stuff with us. Waiting is just plain tough.
What a good girl! She looks so sad though. Why do we humans make you poor dogs wait so much? We need better priorities. π
We are pretty sure Bailie is never really sad, probably one of the happiest dogs on the planet. Bored from waiting is more her look.
Oh, I love quotes, but I’ve never read this one!! And my cats agree – pets shouldn’t need to wait for their humans! We are always first priority!
That is how my cats feel around here.
That’s so true! Bailie is too cute! <3
Thanks.
Patience can be tough, but it’s usually worth it.
It does usually pay off, but it is hard to always be patient.
I are still not so good at waiting.
We don’t like it much, but we are all pretty good at it.
Bruin does not do waiting. He is very good at things like demanding, nagging, reminding, begging, as well as taking matters into his own teeth, but waiting is not in his vocabulary. It is one of many, many words that are not in his vocabulary.
He is still so young. It takes a bit of maturity to learn to wait.
Awww! Bailey is such a sweet dog. She looks like she works very hard at being patient. π
What a good girl, and such a sweet photo. Rita spends a lot of time waiting around for something fun to happen. Poor pups!
Yep, waiting for just about everything, but it is what we do.
Patient for everything but huggles! What a good girl you are. Charlie is not such a patient boy but he makes up for it in extra fun!
This is true. She attacked our chiropractor with huggles the other day, wouldn’t let him go to adjust Katie and I. Sometime being patient is harder than others. BTW, the HuggleHound is still alive and well. It makes Mom laugh when Bailie runs around with it making it honk like crazy.
It takes a lot of maturity to be so patient – well done Bailie!
She is having more and more mature moments, so there is some hope she may actually grow up one day.
Neither one of the girls is very patient, but Chloe is less so! Looks like you have it down Bailie!
All three of us are pretty mellow most of the time, but Bailie being young still is finally learning to be better at patience.
Good girl Bailie! You are growing up.
She has a mature moment now and then π
We could all take a page from their book!
Mom is a now creature too, but we all try to practice patience.
Faced with inevitability, I think dogs shift their brains to live in the moment, whatever that turns out to be. Love that sweet face waiting so patiently. Adorbs.
Yes, we do live in the moment. We have memories of the past and all, but just because we waiting hours one day doesn’t mean it will be the same the next day.
Such great advice!
Thanks…kitties don’t seem as patient as dogs, though.
I thought this was such a sweet photo. You’re right, dogs do spend so much time waiting around for us. They are so patient sometimes and we don’t even appreciate it!
Thank you. We do wait a lot, but it seems to be what we do.
waiting can be so hard. great picture and quote
