It’s week 29 of the #PBSG #52Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge and the word of the week is “water”, so I’m cooling down in my cold water pool! We don’t have a real pool, so we have to make do with this kid’s pool but it works.
Bailie and I enjoy getting in the pool which is full of fresh cold water out of the hose. The temperature doesn’t bother us a bit. We soak up the water, drink some of the water, and relax. The pool is too small for two, so we take turns.
Sunbathing is great after cooling off in the little pool. We both love to nap in the sun. Katie doesn’t like to get wet, and she likes to be in the shade, so she isn’t participating in this post at all!
We do have a lot of inflatable pool toys. They almost take up too much room in the pool, so some of them have to sit out and wait for their turn.
At the end of the day when it is time to go inside, we have to make sure our furs are all dried off, and bring in our towels so Mom can put them in the laundry. We never go skinny dipping either as the neighbors can see us out on our deck – collars are required at our pool!
Today Iβm joining the Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog! Join up and share in the fun, or just visit a few new blogs!
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for theΒ #PBSG and #52Snapshots of Life photo challenge. The linky for the current week will be posted on Friday mornings. Be sure to see what other blogs come up with for the word of the week!
That looks like a fabulous way to cool off. Brown dawgs don’t even have a pool so they are jealous. Thanks for joining the hop!
But they get to do real swimming which is much more fun!
Gotta tell ya, YOUR house, is THE place to be for SUMMER FUN!!! Those photos are the BEST!!
Our house is pretty fun all year actually.
I might like a little pool like that. Your pictures are so much FUN! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We try to have summer fun despite the heat! I bet you would love a little pool. They are only like $5-$10 around here, cheap fun.
Katie won’t go near the water. It must have something to do with her name!
LOL! I think it must be the name since our Katie only sees the pool as a water bowl, and she didn’t go in the North Sea either when she lived in Germany.
Oh, Emma, you look so chic in your pool!! The girls’ Daddy won’t let me buy a kiddie pool for them because Callie and Shadow won’t use it. But I think I might buy one anyway for Ducky and me! Ducky loves being in the pool at daycare, with her “boyfriend” Casper. Hmmmmmm
They are so cheap, less than $10 around here. If one of the pups would use it, why not? It is perfect in the summer and the others can use it as a giant water bowl.
That looks wonderful to have your own private pool.
We do enjoy having our little pool to splash and soak in.
I am glad to know that the neighbors aren’t getting an eye full since you are wearing a collar! Mom is sure that we would roll in the grass and gardens if we had a pool to get wet. It is how we roll!
We do the zoomies after we get soaked and refreshed.
now that is a great way to cool down π
Simple, but it works well.
Need to add this to the list. What a great way to cool off!
Right now around here these pools are all on sale, so get one before they are all gone. The pups will love one!
We’re up in Syracuse but will definitely check! *fingers crossed*
you are the cutest beach girls ever… and that’s THE look of summer! I like your ball is there a crab inside? then you have your own crabby-tat like Sarge, that’s cool!
Mom liked the ball with the crab, so she bought it for us. It is rather cute and the pink is nice and girly.
Hope you have your sunscreen on Emma…looks like a great way to enjoy the summer.
No sunscreen, it makes my furs greasy, but I don’t spend all day in the sun, so I think I’m alright.
Forget “water” that second photo is absolutely perfect shot of “summer.” Belongs on a magazine cover.
It does look like summer, doesn’t it? Now I have to find a magazine!
Hehe! You look to be having such a fun and cool pool PAWty!

We love the pool on the hot and humid days.
Oh boy do you have the right idea
Lily & Edward
If I want to be outside, this is the best option.
That pool looks lots of fun! I disagree with Katie about getting wet – I love playing in water. But I’m with her on the shade – sunbathing is for cats!
Katie will wade in the water, get her paws wet, but nothing more than that. She dislikes getting all wet.
Looks like a great day at the pool! Wonderful photos too.
Thanks! The pool is necessary when it is so hot and humid out!
What fun!! COOL pics!
Lots of fun in the pool in the heat for sure!
Dory just loves your hats gals….you really know how to keep things cool, while looking cool too!!
Smileys!

My sisters and I all like to be fashionable when we can. You never know who might see you.
I adore your photos, Emma. π My own dogs don’t have a pool. At 100 degrees, the water almost boils. Instead, I turn on the mist on the back porch and they lay in the shade.
That sounds like a good plan, but I love to get into the water so much. I wish I lived on a lake.
Thanks for joining the blog hop Emma! Sampson and Delilah have a little pool and you are reminding me that it is time to fill it for them. Since Sampson loves to lie out in the sun panting, I think it’s wise to have a place for him to cool off. π Stay cool.
I bake myself too, so when I get in the pool, the steam rises π
You two are SO cute! I love your summer photos so much! Your mom does a great job! That looks like a lot of fun! π
Thank you. Just wish we could swim like your pups do, but we have to stay on leash, so don’t get to go in too far.
Pool Party at Emma’a place!!!!!! BYOB! (bring your own bones) I am there!!!!!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Or BYOBB, bring your own Bowser Beer π
Our crew agrees there is nothing better than nice cold water on a hot day! They like it best right out of the hose fresh and cold too. In fact, Sheba won’t even go in the pool if the water is left in there for just one night! Now they’re wondering why they don’t have any inflatable toys though.
We get fresh water every day as it gets scummy in a day’s time.
That was some fantastic pool pawty gang!
You kitties could sunbathe next to the pool.
Hi Y’all!
Even a pool wouldn’t be cool enough to cool you down here deep in the southeast.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
This weekend a/c will be the only thing to really cool down a dog, but I have to be outside all day Saturday for nose work. Mom hopes I can do my sniffing in the heat as I don’t like heat much.
Enjoy your pool. Ya know I luvs mine.
You have a real one. We can’t do much but get wet in ours, but we still love it.
Mr. N likes to wade but he doesn’t like getting his head wet lol. How considerate of you guys to always swim with collars on!
Mom insists on good manners, LOL! Katie is more like Mr. N, but Bailie and I love to get soaked!
Now that’s a pool party!
We love our little pool!
You’ve got more pool toys than the little girl next door Emma! It’s over 90 today I bet mom gets my pool out! Love Dolly
Our pool is out as we had to help Mom mow the lawn and it was so hot. Tomorrow, not pool. I have my NW1 trial on the hottest day of the year. Should be interesting.
oh what fun you are having.
Who doesn’t love a good pool party!
Looks like so much fun, Emma! Love your kiddie pool and especially, your pool toys. Your mom goes all out for you pups!
She always tells us we have almost everything a dog could wish for. I guess we are pretty lucky.
This post is the cutest. I had to call Pop over to see it.
Thank you. Just a little summer pool fun π
You’ve got a whole lot of stuff in that pool Emma. You might need a bigger pool next summer LOL
It’s too small to swim anyway, so we only splash around and the toys are fine.
