I recently discovered some super food, super snacks for dogs! We are fans of Wellness brand pet products at our house, and these CocoChia Bakes from their TruFoodยฎ line are no exception. Mom was sure I would not like them, but I absolutely love them!
My first encounter with CocoChia Bakes was at BlogPaws where I got a small sample package which did not last long! When I was contacted about reviewing more of these super food treats for dogs, I howled at the chance!
The CocoChia Bakes come in three varieties, Chicken, Lamb, and Salmon. I received the Chicken and Lamb varieties which coincidentally are red and purple, my and Bailie’s colors, so I asked Bailie to help me out.
Since it is my review, I started the taste testing. Being as red is my color, I tested the CocoChia Bakes with Chicken, Beets, and Coconut Oil. Why are they such a super snack for dogs?
- Made with fresh chicken and chicken liver
- Slow-baked for more raw protein
- Probiotics and Omega fatty acids
- Naturally colored by beets and other super foods with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
- Packed with coconut oil and chia seeds that can support skin, coat and joint health
- 100% natural dog treats
- Grain-free and wheat-free
How much do I like them? I love them! The pieces are only 10 calories, crunchy, and slightly less than an inch square.
Bailie, our purple girl, was up next with the Lamb CocoChia Bakes which are the same size and calorie count as my chicken ones. What all goes into the Lamb variety?
- Made with fresh lamb and turkey liver
- Slow-baked for more raw protein
- Naturally colored by purple carrots and other super foods with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
- Includes probiotics and botanicals
- 100% natural dog treats
- Grain-free and wheat-free
Bailie loves them as much as I love the chicken ones! We also swapped treats and we each loved the other kind as well. Trust me, even a dog who is not a veggie fan like me will love these super food super snacks!
We love everything about these CocoChia Bakes, even the boxes are fun! It is rare to find pretty colored foods that are actually healthy and colored naturally! Bailie and I definitely recommend these! The good news for you all is, I’m giving away these same CocoChia Bakes to one lucky reader! All you have to do is enter the giveaway widget below! these look totally different and delicious!
Mom was skeptical when we got them, but we are nuts for them, so it is a definite paws up and healthy.
the boys tried them – Denny wouldn’t even sniff them and certainly wouldn’t eat one – but he doesn’t like hard cookies and they are very hard ๐
We love crunchy or hard, so it is fine with us, but Mom was surprised I ate them as they are veggie heavy, but I love them.
All this great looking food! Great review!
Good food for a good life ๐
The Snack Queen marches on! No treat too big or too small for a taste test.
I might be aiming to try all the healthy treats on the planet during my lifetime ๐ These are fun since they are pretty colors.
Ohhh, we have some TruFood treats too! You are lucky to be able to eat your treats and share them too!
I would prefer not to share, but in a five pet home, we all have to share most everything, so I’m used to it.
Great review, these treats look yummy! They also look like the perfect size!
Especially for dogs my size or more, they are a nice bite size.
You guys seem pretty protective over these TruFood treats! They must be delicious. ๐
When it comes to sharing tasty new treats combined with a photo shoot, I am not always a happy sharing dog, but I do it.
You had the boys when you said “lamb and turkey liver”
That is Purple Girl’s flavor! I like them too. Heck, they are both tasty!

They are sure yummy in a puppy dog tummy!
I think our girls would like these treats too, since they won’t eat veggies either. I love that they are pretty colors but it’s all natural (I was nervous for a sec when you said they were red and purple!).
Mom was nervous when she read beet and purple carrot, but we love them.
