Happy Birthday, Mom!
Help! My mom is really as old as a dinosaur! Nevertheless, a huge happy birthday to my mom from me and my sisters! I wanted to take her to a dinosaur museum, but couldn’t find one in our area. I’ve now settled on spoiling her rotten with good behavior, snuggles, and fun today!
One thing Mom really wants is a photo of her with all three of us girls together. We found a sucker volunteer to take such a photo for us but I have to say it did not go real well. Above is the best shot we got. Below are how most of the others came out.
Mom can get us all to look at the camera and behave nice, but random people are not as talented I guess. At her age, she has had plenty of years to practice. Who knows what we were all looking at here.
Bailie had to take a few big yawns of course! Old mom had her eyes closed, but at her age, she needs lots of rest. I can’t imagine being so old! I do have to say she is a lot older than thirteen year old Katie, but in much better shape for some reason.
Here’s one more that wasn’t so bad, but just not right. I think I will need to save up some green papers and hire a photographer to do a couple family shots. Mom really wants such a photo, but I don’t think it is going to happen without using a professional. Oh well, we tried, it is the thought that counts. Happy Birthday anyway, Mom! We all love you even if you are as old as a dinosaur!

She is really old, more than all our paws put together including the cats, but you are right, she is pretty happy.

We did our best, but the three of us couldn’t get it right for another photographer. Mom is pretty old, but she is still fun, so that is a good thing.

My mom is much older than she appears, we can’t even count that high! The main thing is she loves us.
Jeffie, Rudy and Rosie are really laughing. First of all there’s no way they’d sit so nicely all together with their mama! And second – old as a dinosaur? Ha! Your mom has some catching up to do with theirs! Happy birthday, Joy!
From a dog’s point of view, she is prehistoric, but we still love her and she is a lot of fun!

Lately we have had to find someone to help us out now and then because Mom can’t do some photos herself, but it is tough to get us all to cooperate for someone else.

In my dog opinion, Mom is super old. I don’t know any dogs as old as she is, so that is a scary thing!

LOL! For us dogs, Katie being 13 is ancient, and Mom is much, much older, so we can’t imagine how she even functions!

We’ve frequently “failed” at the family portrait thing too, but I think the imperfect shots perfectly capture the fun. The pups keep you young – happy birthday!
We work real hard at keeping Mom feeling young and having fun. Some of the outtakes are pretty fun and funny.

My Mommie is about a thousand years old but she likes those green paper things, too. I tried to chew one once, and Mommie snatched it out of my mouth so fast that I almost got a paper cut.

Happy birthday, Dinosaur mom! I myself will be older than dirt in the coming months. I suggest you use a tripod and timer for shots, with maybe an assistant to just get their attention. Practice makes perfect. Personally, I think these photos are ALL decent – photoshop them for fabulous!!!! (whatever that means)
We have that tripod thing and timer, but it never works out that well since Katie often decides to change position and thrown things off. It was fun even if the photos aren’t perfect.

Don’t let looks and behavior deceive you..she is old but still behaves young. We keep her going. Maybe we can get a photo together one of these days.

It is just hard when we are used to working with Mom as the photographer and other people don’t understand how to get our attention. I almost always look at the camera, but my sisters heads and eyes tend to wander.

They came out as fun shots, not the kind to hang on the wall, but some were not bad.
Happy Birthday! Those shots aren’t easy even with only one dog. Three dogs must be exponentially harder so good job to your volunteer (plus I think they came out very nicely!)

I think the bottom photo is my favorite, you may not all be looking at the camera, but you can see everyone clearly.
I’m looking into finding a real photographer to get some nice shots of us all together. Mom can do it pretty well, but for someone not accustomed to photographing pets, it is pretty tough. We got some cute shots anyway. And yes, Mom had a great day. We spoiled her and wore her out so she had a nap on the floor with us in the afternoon.
