This is week 31 of the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge and the word of the week is nature. My photographer and I went out in the woods to get some photos of nature and decided this was out favorite one! We love the crisp, deep colors in this photo which make it so beautiful!
Since we were already out in the woods, we took a few more shots. Good modeling practice as well as some balancing on a log work.
How about a cute close up of my smiling GBGV face? Mom says I’m a natural beauty.
It’s much easier to pose for a photo on the ground. Can you tell it was 90 degrees on the day we did this? Mom mistakenly thought it might be cool in the woods…it wasn’t!
Finally, what would nature photos be without a GBGV chasing a nasty tree rat up a tree?
Today Iβm joining the Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog! Join up and share in the fun, or just visit a few new blogs!
My friends at The Lazy Pitbull had the idea for theΒ #PBSG and #52Snapshots of Life photo challenge. The linky for the current week will be posted on Friday mornings. Be sure to see what other blogs come up with for the word of the week!
Emma, we think YOU are the natural beauty! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Thank you. Mom says I’m her little cutie.
just a dog on a log π
Just another dog on a log!
Oh did you catch the SQ? Storm almost got one yesterday hubby tells me. π Beautiful pictures. Thanks for joining the hop. I will have to catch up with all your other posts.
Didn’t get him, but one day I will capture one!
Love these pictures!
Thank you. We had some fun in the woods.
Your mom is spot on Emma – you are a natural beauty.
Thank you. I like to think of myself more as a cutie, but beauty is alright too.
Natural beauty, natural balance, you are just….a natural.
Oh, thank you π
I agree. absolutely And to see you in the wodds is great.. that’s the place where you can catch all that interesting smell with your fabulous nose :o)
I could live in the woods, but it would tire me out sniffing after critters constantly!
Emma! These are great. And your wearing the same collar my sister Lilly is wearing! It’s so pretty. You sure look great in your photos! your doodle friend Dash
Well, Lily is a super cool dog, what more can I say! I wonder which collar you are wearing? Something fashionable as well, I’m sure.
Great photos, Emma!!! I love being out in nature, too, as long as I don’t have to deal with biting/stinging bugs and temps above 80F! I learned last summer — when I was taking Callie & Shadow to the park almost every day — that just because the woods shade you from the sun DOESN’T mean it isn’t hot and humid. That lesson taught me the only time to walk in the woods during the summer is before 10AM or after 6PM.
Lucky for us it wasn’t a long hike, but it was still warm. This time of year early morning is when we usually are out, but sometimes we have to go later.
They’re lovely photos, Emma! I particularly like the close up.
Thank you.
You are being a real ham for the camera
Lily & Edward
Did someone mention ham? Yum!
Who needs NatGeo when you have Emma?
Oh my, what a compliment π
Your natural beauty stands out among all the rest of the beauty around you Emma.
Thank you, but I think I compliment the nature.
These are all lovely pictures of my sweetie! You are indeed a natural beauty. XXOO Bentley β₯
Why thank you, my dear Bentley.
I definitely agree! You have all the natural beauty in the world!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I do hear I’m pretty cute a lot.
Your photos are beautiful! I love going into the woods! Our woods don’t cool off either, it’s just humid. LOL
Mom thought with the shade and a breeze it would be cooler, but it wasn’t.
Those are such wonderful photos of the wonderful you!
Thank you, it was hot, but still a fun little adventure.
What a cool action shot at the end!
You are always beautiful. Try to stay cool!
You can’t do nature without including a wabbit or squirrel chase!
Emma, you just make nature look even more beautiful!
Thank you. I love being in the woods.
You pose better than anydog for the camera!! There were probably a lot of mosquitos too! Hope you got the squirrel!!
No mosquitoes really as there was a light breeze. I did not get the squirrel, but I will one day.
You are quite a natural. Very photogenic!
Thanks. I love modeling for the camera.
That setting looks like the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy nature, and of course no outing is complete without running into one of those darn squirrels.
Squirrels are a staple of nature.
Well, it certainly looks cool in the woods at least! BOL
I look cool because I’m a cool hound π
What a perfect place you and your Mama chose for your Nature shoot, your furs go so well with the forest colors!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Thank you. I guess I was made for hunting in the woods.
Those top pics with the shallow depth of field are so pretty!
Thank you. Mom is working on learning to use that lens.
The mom says I am her “sweetie petitie.”
That is cute.
Luv these pics! Ya look great!
Thank you. I love it in the woods.
Beautiful pictures and setting. That’s what nature is for us. Yes, it gets hot in the woods which is why we have to be close to the creek. After walking and sniffing the Newfs have to be able to cool off, 90 is way too hot.
It’s always nice to have a good reason to swim!
We usually find it a titch cooler in the woods, not typically by much, but the trees provide a bit of shade and at least keeps the sun from beating down on us. You don’t really notice it until you leave the woods for the field and the heat rolls over you in waves.
Love the photos though, maybe Mom should enroll you in gymnastics, you’re so poised on the beam.
Thanks for joining the blog hop!
I don’t know about gymnastics. I can stand and lie down, but I can’t do flips just yet. I will have to work on that I guess.
Toronto has an underrated amount of nature here too. It’s always nice to explore for a while.
We love finding new wooded areas with trails to conquer.
Green is my absolute favorite color, and I have to say it DOES enhance these already beautiful photos!
It is a real pretty green that came out of the shots we thought.
Great modeling Emma as always! We enjoy seeing you a la natural. Mom has had some outings planned for weeks but they are on hold because of the heat. Next week it’s looking like we will be going on some adventures! Love Dolly
We still go out in the heat, but try to get it all done early or late. At least we can do nose work indoors most of the time if it is too hot.
Love the pics, Emma! Tell your “photographer” (you gave her away in your post…mom), she did a really good job! You are a natural beauty, Emma, but you’re keeping it humble. Like that! π The tree part looked like the most fun. Sophie and Jasper love that game, too. Happy Sunday!
Thank you. Mom has been appearing a bit too much on the blog lately. I need to get myself back in the driver’s seat around here!
Great photos- I love the one that looks like you are trying to climb the tree.
Gotta get those rotten squirrels.
those are some really beautiful photos.
What fun! Sometimes the woods are cooler, but sometimes the trees make it very humid under all the leaves. I love the photo looking up at the tree rat, but they are all excellent.
Looking up at the tree rat is totally me. I spend a lot of time doing that!
