Rastafarian banana? What is a Rastafarian banana? I had never heard of one, never even thought about one to be honest until recently. I love bananas, and get a piece with my breakfast every morning, but they are just simple, average yellow bananas. Bailie loves bananas too. You may recall the great banana caper of 2014?
Imagine the shock I had when I was out for my morning walk and out of nowhere was this Rastafarian banana! Oh my! This banana appeared to have had a rough night the way he was lying there, resting on a car hood next to a dumpster, all right next to the woods I like to walk in!
My first reaction was to race over and see if he was still breathing. I have no idea how to perform mouth to mouth on a banana without simply eating the entire banana. Luckily, this guy was still breathing.
I moved him over to a spot which seemed a bit more comfortable. I wanted to find out what a Rastafarian banana was doing in Minnesota!
The poor banana seemed so lonely on his own without his bunch to hang out with, so I did my best to behave like one of the bunch he probably came from.
No matter what I tried, I couldn’t help my instinct which was to eat the banana! Before I did something regrettable, I decided to leave him to fend for himself and continue on with my walk.
This was probably one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever found on a walk. Have you ever come across something totally off the wall on a walk?
Don’t forget! Last day to enter the giveaway to win Raw Paws Lamb Lungs and Lamb Ears! Sorry, not giving away any bananas!
Today Iβm joining the Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog! Join up and share in the fun, or just visit a few new blogs!
Oh, Emma, you are so brave! I would have hidden behind the mom…or possible barked and barked at it. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I had to investigate and protect Mom, Bailie and myself!
He was smiling when you left. Good job!
Crazy banana!
You find the weirdest things Emma…I think you should have brought him home and put him on your front porch!
I know I do seem to find odd stuff, but it makes walks all the more interesting.
We have never encountered anything quite as bizarre as your banana friend, Emma! BOL!! We’ve seen & posed with all kinds of construction machinery, but that’s about it π Hoping to win a some chews from Raw Paws – they’re an amazing company!
Stop by tomorrow, I’m searching some machinery π That banana was crazy wild!
LOL that is so silly. I wonder how it got there and who put it there. Definitely a strange thing to see on a walk. Thanks for sharing on the hop.
We find lots of odd stuff on walks, but it makes things more interesting.
Emma, there’s not much better to brighten a day than seeing you with a Rastafarian banana. AROOOOO!
I think just seeing a Rastafarian banana will brighten a person or dog’s day! Leave it to me to stumble upon something odd.
Oh my dawg! Call the authorities
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
He might be a refuge that was separated from his bunch?
we sure hope he doesn’t end up in the dumpster – that would be a sad ending indeed
I think he did as it had rained overnight and he was wet. Poor guy.
That is pretty strange! Poor banana!
I couldn’t even dream up finding such a thing, so to actually turn a corner and see it was so weird!
That is hilarious.
I know! Mom says in over 50 years she has never seen nor heard of one. If you google it, you will see they are out there, but where?
Well now that was a great find! Mom loves when we find strange things on our walks too!! Makes the walk even more fun! Great post Emma, your doodle friend Dash
It does make for so much more fun, and one never knows when you might come upon such an oddity!
This was easily the best title of any blog post you’ve ever done!
Why thank you! Now you guys need to find some weird stuff at the beach…maybe washed up on shore?
Emma, you meet the coolest new friends!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
I definitely have a knack for finding the odd.
I’m trying to think what’s the weirdest thing we’ve ever found on a walk, but more of our ‘finds’ are food. Delilah found some big hunk of deer meat one time, that was pretty gross. And she found some pepperoni in the package too. So far, those are the strangest things we’ve found. Well you saw what she did when she saw the scarecrow, so I can only imagine what she’d do if she saw a giant banana. She loves eating them too. π
Thanks for joining the blog hop!
Luckily, we come across lots of weird stuff, so nothing really shocks us too much!
Of all the things we’ve seen you find, this definitely tops them all! Luke loves bananas too, so like you, he would have found it hard not to take a bite out of that one!
This was truly the weirdest find yet! No idea how he landed there, but it was a fun find.
Maybe Mr. Banana needed a new home? That has to be the wierdest thing I ever heard of someone finding while walking their dog.

I know! Mom is still shocked by it. One just never knows. We have a knack for finding the odd.
OMD!!! BOL!!! We’ve never come across anything like this but with our love of bananas we would have definitely tried to get a little taste! BOL!
I know, who would expect to find a Rastafarian banana anywhere, let alone on an early morning walk!
Wow! You could make a lot of banana pudding with that baby! We see some pretty weird stuff thrown out in the garbages on our trash pick-up day. Mom won’t let me smell most of it though. Bummer.
This guy was just hanging out, but I bet he ended up in the dumpster.
Dang, it sure would be fun to have a banana that size all filled with catnip! Bert would like it too!
It would take him more than a few minutes to eat it at least!
Wow! That’s a large banana! LOL!
One jumbo crazy banana!
So that’s what one is! Love Dolly
I bet you have wondered about it your entire life???
Aw, you should have sent Mom back with her car to bring him home and join the family. That smile probably turned upside down when you left.
The thought entered our minds but it had rained the night before and he was a bit wet.
OMC! Look at that nanner! Our favorite nanner is our nip nanner.
My cat bro Bert would explode is this was a nip nanner!
You should have taken it in π Is it still there next to the dampster? He’s probably searching for home
He was a bit dirty and he was wet because it had rained overnight, so not a good banana to keep.
Holy CAT that was truly — err — unusual!
Unusual, to say the least…more like just plain weird at 6 am!
Omg that is so fricken awesome!!!!!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Amazing, isn’t it!
that is the wackiest thing i’ve ever seen!
We do run into some odd stuff on our walks I must say!
wowwee what a strange thing to find on a walk, you take the prize with that one. great photos.
For some reason, I have a knack for finding the weird on my walks.
What up Mon? That’s my Rastafarian slang! π
I don’t have much more in my vocabulary.
