Super Food, Super Circuit – Fall Fitness Challenge Week 2 #FallFitDog
Today, we meet again on the training field for the FitDog Friday Fall Fitness Challenge with ABOUND! I sure hope you are joining myself, SlimDoggy, and To Dog With Love in getting and staying fit with your dog! The challenge is not a competition, but rather a motivational tool to help you get out and workout with your dog. No one wants, or needs to get the fat pants out of their closet!
Week #1 Challenge: No Grain, No Gain
The Week 1 Challenge was No Grain, No Gain. How did you do? Going grain free, along with exercise, can help keep the pounds away. Be sure and link up how you and your pup answered the challenge in the blog hop below, or tell Coach Emma in a comment. We love hearing about fun, and sometimes new ways to stay fit! Remember to use the #FallFitDog hashtag in your posts and social media posts! Don’t let the amazing ABOUND prize pack slip away either! Get over to my post from last week for details on how to enter!
Week #2 Challenge: Super Food, Super Circuit
Super food, super circuit is our challenge for you all this week! Let us know how you set up a training circuit for your pup. You don’t need to be a professional agility dog to tackle this challenge. You can do it in your yard, at the park, or even out in nature using natural obstacles.
Bailie and I aren’t allowed to jump stuff because it is not real good for our long backs and joints, so we will show you our very simple backyard circuit of fun and fitness. Chase is our game for which we have our super circuit path and we fuel ourselves the super food for energy!
We have the same form for those tight corners! It’s a bit of synchronized running of sorts.
Sometimes it helps to get the ears up when flying along our course!
To get a real feel for the speed we run, take a peek at this super short Instagram video of us racing. By the way, if you are on Instagram, make sure and follow us as we post a lot of photos and videos there which are not on the blog. We also added our tunnel to the yard for some fun. Bailie and I chase each other through it.
Bailie also uses it as a hurdle at times when I’m trying to run through. She is our serious wild child!
We are wearing down after all the racing around our yard circuit! So you see, a circuit can be real simple, or you could make it real complicated. The goal of the super food, super circuit challenge is to get out there and exercise.
Add super food to your dog’s diet and training regimen to help them stay healthy and have plenty of energy. One of my favorite super foods is pumpkin, which helps promote good digestion and sharp vision. It just so happens one of ABOUND’s new dog foods contains pumpkin! Superfood Blend Salmon, Egg and Pumpkin Recipe has high-quality protein-rich salmon to build and maintain strong muscles, pumpkin, and eggs which are a good source of protein for dogs. Ingredients like salmon, egg and pumpkin are nutrient-dense super foods. Super food snacks with sweet potato and blueberry from ABOUND are perfect for training too!

Zoe and Phoenix love playing chase, too! It’s good to have a sister to help you work out! 😀
I’m lucky because as Katie retired from the wildness, Bailie came on the scene!
We’ve been out with Murphy on a run today. He had fun playing with a few of the dogs in the park but came home so dirty he went straight in for a shower!
That is a bummer. A bath always puts a damper on dog fun!
you are like two rockets :o) and it’s interesting how your sister used the teleport tunnel LOL
Bailie is off the wall nuts! She also likes to drag the tunnel and run around the yard!
I love Bailie’s shortcut OVER the tunnel. You go girl!
She is pretty smart and tends to look for lazy dog solutions when possible.
Hi Y’all!
What a wild time y’all had! Looks like the kind of fun I had at the sitters last week! (‘cept there was about 7 of us)
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
That is super fun. More chase pals means more fun!
Oh, what fun! Lyla plays with me in the house – sometimes. You 2 are so awesome! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV ps the mom over did her walk on Wednesday and she was really hurting yesterday. She had a doc appointment and he told her to not walk so far.
You may have to kennel your mom. Sounds like it is as hard to keep her down as it is to keep a dog quiet!
Love how Bailie makes the tunnel multifunctional — tunnel and a hurdle all in one!
She also enjoys dragging it along behind her when she runs, but it destroys the tunnel. We can’t film it as Mom has to get her to stop before it rips.
Love watching them play together
Mom says she could watch us play together forever and never get bored.
Well, we definitely accomplished the first challenge, as we only feed grain free to the huskies.
This weeks challenge will be a hit too! LOL!
Love your pics as always!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Super foods are great, we love berries and a training circuit is loads of fun too!
You two are fast, Emma, and you don’t let your younger sister show you up either! These days Luke can outrun both of his sisters, but they don’t even try to keep up with him anyway. 🙂
Of course, we’ve been doing the Dog Walking Week challenge in addition to our usual playing of fetch in the yard. We also switched to grain free food quite a while ago and have been very happy with it.
We are happy with grain free too. Seems to work well for all of us. Run Luke! Would love to see him race Bailie!
Love punkins
Lily & Edward
Pumpkin is so tasty!
Sampson and Delilah have a little run along the fence. It’s mostly when they are chasing deer, but it’s super cute to watch. Of course, Sampson isn’t nearly as fast as the D-Dog.
We run the fence with the neighbor dogs that live on two sides. It’s tons of fun. No deer in our neighborhood.
Earl and Ethel LOVE running together!
It is so much fun!
We walk and play chase. Bentley gets his indoor exercise chasing the laser and Pierre chases Bentley. It is quite a sight! I think Paisley has outgrown her tunnel so maybe we can “borrow” it for some outdoor fun.
Bailie chases the red dot. I don’t like it, so I chase Bailie!
We love seeing you rip n’ run so fast! Hey, there are a few here that think all food is super!
Sounds like the opinion of cat bro Bert!
I think Mr. N lost some weight! He’s pretty skinny right now. I guess I’ll have to up his food now that it’s getting colder.
Staying warm does burn some extra calories!
I love pictures of dogs chasing each other; you can see how much fun everyone is having. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Mom says she could watch us run forever and never get tired of it.
You and Bailie are a couple of fast girls. I mean that in the nicest way, of course. 😉
Bailie may be fast in “both” ways 😉 Troublemaker she is.
Looks like lots of fun!
It sure is and happens almost daily!
The girls are always chasing each other!! They love to run and play out in the yard! It is a bit difficult in the winter with all the snow…then they turn the house into a race track! BOL!
We do the same chasing in the snow. It is even more exercise!
Bailie, we can totally see you as the wild child!!
She is totally out of paw! One day, maybe she will grow up?
Doggies love playing chase! Fun and fitness combined!
Chase and wrestle is our favorite game!
Your backyard is beautiful and perfect for racing around. Ours currently has rocks, cacti, and lots of trees to navigate and maneuver around. We’re looking forward to coming up with some kind of fun circuit this week.
Your yard sounds pretty painful!
Love those pictures. You girls look like you are having so much fun. Wish we had a big yard for Kilo as he would enjoy that and keep fit- he got a little fatter while I was away. We walk and then play chase and fetch in the house everyday when I am here.
A yard is a must, especially with more than one dog as it is so fun to play. Kilo needs someone to chase and those pounds would melt away!
Chase is so much fun and a great way to burn off energy.
I’ve loved chase my whole life. It’s sad Katie can’t chase anymore but Bailie and I have fun.
you girls can really run fast.
We get a lot of speed going for sure.
