I took Castor & Pollux Good Buddy Jerky Strips Real Salmon Recipe up north with me last weekend.Β I as off to my first sniffin’ camp and I wanted to bring along a good healthy power snack. These were perfect! I was so impressed I wanted to hold a speech and tell everyone at camp about them! These delightful jerky strips are made in the USA with love from North and South American salmon!
My package of jerky strips arrived in the usual timely fashion from Chewy.com. I always love the fun stickers they put on their packages. I mean really, what dog doesn’t want to nuzzle??? We order our food, most of our treats, and our cat food from Chewy.com. Why lug stuff home when they will deliver it right to your door, and for free if your order is over $49? Chewy.com has more than 300 brands with products to choose from and is ready to fetch and ship when you order, or you can schedule orders if you like.
The salmon jerky traveled well, and made it no problem up to camp with me. I was considering a bit of canoeing with my jerky treats, but since I forgot my life jacket, that option was out.
I took a little break on a bench in the shade to look at the pretty fall colors. Suddenly I remembered I was at a nose work camp with a bunch of sniffin’ dogs! Yikes! Perhaps reviewing tasty treats here was a bad idea as I didn’t want to share! It was best to keep my eyes peeled for any sneaky canines in the area!
Luckily, I found a spot up kind of high to have a good look at this product. My camera lady helped me get up there, and I felt safe from any other creatures who may want to steal my tasty Good Buddy salmon jerky. Doesn’t it look good? Such soft, and thick pieces too, and the aroma! Oh my!
I made the executive, Chief Blogging Officer, decision to retreat to the safety of my cabin porch to give these a taste.
Boy, I’m a scent hound, and I tell you, the scent on these Good Buddy jerky strips is amazingly good! You can see the concentration in my eyes! If you are wondering why, here are a few reasons:
- all natural
- grain free
- no gluten
- no corn, wheat, or soy
- no poultry by products
- no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives
- full of salmon, whitefish, and sweet potatoes
I just couldn’t wait any longer to dig in! Once I clamped my hound jaws down on that strip, there was no going back! Really yummy! Each strip is around 93 calories, but trust me, it is worth it. I would gladly run another lap to get to eat one of these!
After I had ONLY one piece, my mom sealed the bag and said that was enough! Are you kidding me? I wanted the entire bag! In protest I stuck my tongue out at her!
No matter where you are, where you are headed, or what you are doing, if you need pet supplies, contact chewy.com! They are ready to bring your needs to you, almost faster than I can catch a wabbit!

They look really good!! It is so great to find food that are healthy and don’t put all those crazy ingredients in them.
I’m not big on fish, but these are super tasty!
Those look really good, and it definitely sounds worth an extra lap to give them a try! It looks very nice at the camp, we hope you had a fun time there (& never had to share those special treats).
I’ll post more about our trip later this week and next week. It was beautiful up there last weekend. I did have to share some with my sisters, but I got more.
Emma they look delicious! 4 paws an an eggs-cessive wagging tail from france! I think it was good that you furgot your vest…imagine that salmon guys would jump back in the water while canoeing with you …. yiiikes!
Oh my, losing my treats in the lake would be terrible. I did attend a camp session on finding odor under water in the lake, so I have a start on salvaging lost treasure underwater.
I would stick my tongue out too! Humans just do not understand something that delish we poopers just do not want to stop with just one! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I think I will take Mom’s snacks away after one and see how she likes that next time.
That log dog house is sweet! Dream home material for sure.
It was just my size. Bailie had trouble sitting up straight, so I call it my cabin.
It must be nice to have a tasty Good Buddy!
Cat bro Bert tried to break into the bag when we got home, so I guess kitties want them too!
Those look great! My huskies absolutely love jerky!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
They are really nice, thick, and chewy. They do have a bit of odor too them, but not too much and I was nuts for them.

Very cozy cabin, and did you notice the chimney? I has a wood burning fireplace π
Gorgeous pictures! And Chewy is a great company, aren’t they?
We have been hooked on Chewy for over a year now. It makes life so much easier with multiple pets, never making trips to the store only to find out the product isn’t in stock. Super easy!
Thank you Chief Blogging officer

My mom says I’m very full of myself and that is why I have that title. I think I do a good job being the boss of my blogging empire.
Oh boy, sniffin’ camp! That sounds like so much fun! You definitely need power snacks for a trip like that.

Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Sniffin’ really zaps the energy out of a dog, so these treats were ideal!
Good Buddies for good buddies!
That is right. Tasty stuff!
Jerky treats make great snacks – mom breaks them and stick them in our food toys.
These are easy to tear into smaller pieces for small rewards.
Emma, these sound yummy! I have no doubt that Ace (and Beamer) would love these! I don’t think we’ve tried these particular treats.
And cute pictures as always!
I got lucky, Bert wasn’t up north with us, so I didn’t have to worry about him stealing any!
I hope your cabin was a little bit bigger to fit you and Bailie and your mom! We love salmon at our house so we will give these a try! Great post Emma! your doodle friend Dash
Mom, Bailie, and I like it cozy, so the cabin was just right π You know Merrick owns Castor & Pollux which is why the jerky is so pawsome!
AH, sweet potatoes! I couldn’t figure out what gave these treats that pretty fall color. They look great!
