Four years ago today, my friends, I published my very first blog post ever! It is fun to look back and see how things have changed and how far I have come. My selfie today is me in a party hat along with my logo. It is really is something to celebrate as four years is a long time. If I think about it, I am nine, which means, I have been blogging almost half of my life!
It was a Tuesday when I published my post in 2011, and I was so new at it all, I didn’t even change the url. The link remains “hello world” the generic WordPress link, LOL! When I first started, I had no idea dog blogging was a “thing”, I didn’t know pets had social media accounts, I really knew nothing! The first year to year and a half were pretty slow, not many followers, no real direction, but Mom and I were having fun, so it was alright.
Those first months are fun to read if you want to find out about my early life and how I went from the UK, to Germany, to Minnesota! Currently, My GBGV Life has a focus, promoting the GBGV breed, along with tips on fun things to do with your dog, and how to keep your dog fit and healthy. We have always been, and always plan to be a place where people can go for a smile or a laugh. Even serious topics get some kind of silly spin, and we are always rated “G” (for goofy).
More than anything else, today, I would like to thank every one of my readers, even the cats, for supporting me, coming by to visit me, leaving comments, and for loving me and My GBGV Life. You all bring a lot of joy and purpose to my online endeavors. If I could, I would personally give each of you a GBGV hug. I love to give hugs. There are no plans for me to go anywhere, so I expect to see you again on this day in 2016 for my 5 years of blogging day, but being a dog, I live in the moment, so I’m only thinking about four years ago today!
I’m joining the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by, kind of embarrassing, a big bunch of cats at The Cat On My Head. If you want to give a selfie a try, join in the hop, or see how good or bad other selfies are to help you get the guts to try it yourself! Hope to see selfies from all my friends!
