Beautiful weather is a perfect excuse to have some fall fun on a nice walk in our neck of the woods. Mom packed up Bailie and me, to head out for a nice walk around a small lake. Of course, with the fall look outside, we took the camera along to get some nice photos…it’s what blogging dogs and their photographers just do!
Since we were on a wooded trail around the lake, there was an abundance of squirrels. I’m pretty sure you can tell I have one on my radar in this photo. Talk about some full concentration!
We haven’t been to this lake in a while, and they totally redid the fishing pier. Bailie and I had to go out on it and take a good look. I think we look like the two stooges!
Little Bailie requested a bit of a glam shot with her profile. It came out pretty nice, and she is pleased with it. She is wearing the new Gobble Gobble collar. I think it fits her personality well, such a turkey!
Our fall fun had to include two dogs on a log! The wooded area along the trail has been cleaned up quite a bit since we were here last, making good logs hard to find.
It’s nice to take a little break now and then to watch the water. Who knows when the ducks will be back. Sadly, we didn’t catch any for dinner.
What fun would a walk be this time of year without rolling around in some dirty old leaves? I recently had a bath and I desperately needed to get some good scent and dirt back on myself. It feels so good to roll around and cover myself in fall leaf scent.
Don’t you think this photo really sums up what fall fun on a walk means? I look good in leaves! Have you been out enjoying the fall weather? It’s a great way to have some fun and get a bit of a workout at the same time!

that’s like that song of Otis Redding :o) and your fall decoration is great … I wish I had some longer fur too to bring some of that leaves home :o)
Leaves stick to me like glue. It does not make my mom real happy.
What a beautiful fall walk I just love fall. My dogs get dirty too on their adventures it means they had lots of fun
No dirt, no fun!
LOL the leaves are stuck to you. That sure is a pretty place. The lake is lovely! Thanks for joining the hop!
Everything sticks to my fur. Mom says I am a living Swiffer.
What fun in the leaves…we love it! Our weather has been too warm here, we are not happy. Now it’s cooled down and has been raining, so walks haven’t been as good. We want the real fall weather, cool, sunny, and dry!
It is way too warm here too which makes us sad. We are ready for cold and snow.
oh, Emma, you made a mess of yourself and I love it! XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I love it too, Sparkle!
You both looked to peaceful in the beginning. So glad you got to roll in the leaves. That’s the fun of Fall.
We can go from sweet and well behaved to big trouble pretty quickly.
What a beautiful spot! I absolutely love leaves and can’t wait until I meet snow for the first time. I hear it’s great π
Snow is awesome! Mom says the first snow every year we behave like puppies seeing snow for the first time. We love it.
That looks like a great place for a fall walk – no swimming or is it tool cold up there already?
I will swim even when there is ice on the water, but Mom doesn’t like us getting all wet when it isn’t hot enough out to dry us off before we get back in the car. The leave don’t stick to wet furs as well either.
Beautiful late-fall leaves and smells. Have to roll in them while there’s still time.
That is right. Today they are far too wet, so I’m glad I already did it a lot.
That looks like a really nice lake. And yes, the leaves are you!
I feel I wear fall quite well.
Ok, seriously! That photo of you rolling in the leaves just made me laugh so hard!!!! LOVE it!!!!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thanks! I can be a goofball sometimes!
Shadow brings dirty, old leaves in the house all the time! I guess she’s trying to give us a present since she and Ducky haven’t caught any squirrels in a while. ?
BTW, I love your pix! Bailie looks cute in her gobble-gobble collar; and you look stunning in your leaf attire! ?
Thank you. We have a nice collection of indoor leaves these days as well. Mom is not liking our idea of decorating too much.
Haha! I guess not! I’ve resigned myself to it over the years. Callie and Shadow – and Kissy before them – have always enjoyed their rolls in the leaves so much that I just don’t have the heart to not let them do it. And if some of the leaves fell/fall off in the house, I just pick them up and drop them in the waste baskets. Ducky enjoys her rolls in the leaves, too, but they don’t stick to her fur like they do to her sisters.
We have a lot of leaves in the house. Our furs are real leaf magnets. Mom lets us roll in the leaves too most of the time.
We love that leaf coat photo, you might start a new fashion trend!!!
It’s the hottest new dog breed around…the leaf coated hound.
That is a beautiful place to spend the day. You should bring fishing poles next time and perhaps you can catch your dinner. βΊ You really know how to make leaves look great. β₯ β₯
I would love to catch a fish, but Mom has fish phobia and would probably run away if we caught a fish! It was a nice day even without fish.
Beautiful photos, Emma. I loved this post!
Thanks. It was a fun little outing.
Oh Emma, that last picture does say it all!! What a priceless shot!
Smileys!

Sometimes even a proper lady like me has to let her fur down and just go wild!
OMD OMD that Last Picture says it ALL… What a GRAND and Glorious Time it must have been… From the LOOKS of it!!!!
Yes, I was quite the happy pup!
Haha, Emma. What’s a walk without a good roll in something stinky. And of course the obligatory pose on a log–just ask Mr. N. We have to do it every time!!
Logs were put on earth for dogs to pose on, weren’t they?
That looks like such a fun day! Those photos are beautiful!
We did have a lot of fun and the weather was perfect too.
Is sure does look like you had fun on that walk. My favorite photo is of you and Bailie looking at the lake, but that last one is pretty good too.
Delilah walks with her nose in the piles of leaves and came up yesterday with big leaves covering her face. Naturally I wasn’t quick enough with the camera. π
Thanks for joining the blog hop!!
There are so many good smells down deep in those leaves!
Hi Y’all!
Leaves make the best sound when you roll in them!
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
And they make the best perfume too.
A super cool walk and rolling in the leaves!!
Lily & Edward
Gotta love leaves!
That was a perfect ending to a great walk. We hope you didn’t get a bath because of it.
Millie & Walter
I just had a bath a few days before, and it had been dry out, so I didn’t need another bath…thank dog!
I think the roll in the grass sums it up best! Looks like a great walk. And out weather doesn’t look too bad for awhile so hopefully we’ll get some fall walks too! Love Dolly
We have a gorgeous weekend on tap, and some rain the beginning of the week. We want colder weather and snow at this point.
