Today, I present to you my Top 10 Howliday Gift Suggestions. I say they are for fit dogs, but they could really be for any dogs. Some of the items may be more relevant to fit dogs. My list is just a list, in no particular order of importance.
This top 10 gifts for fit and active dogs list has been created by me, Emma. The products are all products I have tested and reviewed in the past and highly recommend. 1. The Pebble Smart Doorbell
I bought the Pebble Smart doorbell a couple years ago now, and use it pretty much dailiy. It is made for dogs, and is real easy to learn how to use. I use mine to ring when I want to come into the house, and it even works on those days where the temps are -10F or colder! Most dogs use it to ring when they need to go out, but you know my house is always a bit different! We love this doorbell!
2. The Umbilical Belt
The umbilical belt is something Mom said she would never use, said it would never work for us, and guess who now can’t go out running without it? The hands free running feels so great according to Mom. What about pulling dogs? The umbilical belt works so much better at stopping a pulling dog than when you hold a leash. Bailie pulls a lot on leash, but while running with this belt, she is almost always in heal position automatically. The belt is super strong, and has a pocket. Mom says it is the best product we tried this year!

5. Andis Grooming Tools
Andis grooming tools are such good quality and do an amazing job! Part of having a healthy pet is keeping up with the grooming, meaning bathing, brushing, trimming nails, etc. We love our deshedding tool! It does a wonderful job of stripping out our coats and it doesn’t pull like some other tools we have tried. The nail clippers we have is super sharp, and also real easy to use and has a nice no slip grip.
6. Up Country Collars, Harnesses & Leashes
Up Country makes my favorite collars, harnesses, and leashes. They have such a huge variety of styles, all of which will keep any dog fashionable. Their products are very durable, and machine washable. My sisters and I always love shopping on their site, to choose something new to wear!
7. Raw Paws Pet Food
Raw Paws Pet Food is perfect for the active dog! Even if your dog is not on a raw diet, they have so many all natural snacks and chews to choose from. We have been ordering a lot of their bundle deals lately. So far I have not been able to find anything I did not love! One of our biggest favorites is the beef liver nuggets, but for chews, we enjoy the cows ears, and lamb ears. Such good stuff! Any dog would love some of these treats as a gift!
8. Silver Paw Tags
Silver Paw Tags will keep a dog on the go safe if he should become lost! Mom has tried numerous pet tags over the years, but they all wear out fairly quickly, not Silver Paw Tags! We have had our tags for almost two years now and they look as good as new, not even one scratch! If we ever move, we can send the tags back to Maine where they are made and they will sand it down and engrave your tag with your new information for a nominal fee, making these tags, tags for life. They have several sizes and many fun designs to choose from.
9. The Company Of Animals Interactive Feeders
The Company of Animals knows hungry pets like to wolf down their food which is not healthy. Their interactive feeders help your dog slow down their eating by turning mealtime into a hunting like game. Bailie does really well with her Green feeder and it has slowed down her mealtime considerably!
10. Pooch Party Packs
Pooch Party Packs subscription boxes are the ideal gift for your own dog or any dog you know. What dog doesn’t enjoy getting their own package in the mail every month? Each month has a different fun theme. The box has products made in the USA, and at least one product from a small business. It didn’t come up until late last night after I had gone to bed. I had trouble as I couldn’t comment on blogs who were on the Barks and Bytes hop for a few hours. Quite the mess, but it seems fine now.

My mom remembers the day she found Up Country online when she was living in Germany. She would always order collars and have them sent to Gramma’s house so she could pick them up when she was visiting. We love them.

We just love it and it is so easy to train! Since Mom can’t see the door from her desk, she always had to get up to see if we were standing there waiting to come in, but since we got the doorbell, I just ring when I want to come in. On the other hand, if she wants us to stay out and tries to ignore us, I start ringing non stop and she has to let us in! Overall, we love it. Probably our most useful dog gadget.

An awesome wish-list for any pup! Although, I wouldn’t trust Penny with that doorbell. She’d have too much fun poking it all day.
I am the lead ringer at our house and I ring responsibly, EXCEPT if we want to come in and Mom wants us to stay out. I will lay on the bell until she lets us in. She can’t turn it off or ignore us or we would stop using it, so she is stuck, but it rarely happens. It’s always fun when we have guests as they always crack up when I stand there and ring it sending Mom running for the door!
Oh what wonderful gifts! I love the howl-i-day collars and the doorbell is just great. I’ve got one for inside to tell my staff when I want to go out. My mom gave me a treat for efurry time I used that bell…. well ya will know what happened… we had jingling bells in an endless loop… only for another treat :o)
We only ring to come in. I’m pretty much in charge of the doorbell and I usually ring responsibly. Sometimes if Mom ignores me I ring it non stop until she finally gets up and lets me in!

Great list, Emma! We have and enjoy a few of those products too. One thing I might like to get is the doorbell though. I know I could easily teach Luke to use it (then he could teach his sisters…LOL)! We did finally order the Pooch Party Pack too….we’re looking forward to getting our first one soon.

What a great list! We have and love a few of these items too like the Green feeder and Up Country wear! I’d love to try the hands-free leash and the doorbell. Rocco already has bells on the back door he rings pretty much any time he wants my attention π
It seems most people have the potty bells, but we don’t need to ask to go out, our problem was getting back in without Mom having to keep checking the window to see if we were there. Rocco would learn it in a jiffy, and Mom loves the umbilical belt for running. We haven’t used it for walking but if she was only walking one dog, she would for sure.
That doorbell idea really is a cool one!! I remember you mentioning it in a post several weeks ago. I still haven’t ordered one, but definitely am thinking about it. Raw Paws rule!! We get our raw food from them π
