On Thanksgiving weekend, we had the first snow of the season. We got a couple inches on Thanksgiving and then our big blizzard on the weekend turned into just a couple inches. No matter, Bailie and I were all excited. It was real wet snow, so we each ended up wearing a lot of the snow we were playing in.
We took a little walk, but didn’t wear our boots since it was quite warm out. We had to come home early with all our snowballs, lesson learned!
Bailie had the most fun. Once in the yard, she starting hunting down the miscellaneous toys hidden below the snow.
Being a good scent hound, she had no trouble locating the buried toys! Once found, it was a blast for her to run around with them.
I was just enjoying the cold weather and new smells with the snow on the ground.
Little Bailie is so proud of herself for finding the buried treasures under the first snow of the season!
If you really want to know how much fun the wild child is having, take a look at this short video. Bailie is truly a nut, but we sure love her!
It’s good exercise being out in the cold, running through the snow, not to mention lots of fun.
I think Mom has been tracking with me way too much lately, as I kept busy with my nose down tracking critters in the snow.
Crazy Bailie is content to simply run around with the frozen toys and be her wild child self. Sadly, all the snow melted as we are having awful warm weather. We have our paws crossed for cold weather and more snow asap! We love winter and the warm weather is real depressing!

Don’t worry about the snow melting. I am sure there is lots more to come!
Being winter lovers, this warm weather and rain makes us sad. Hopefully it will get cold and snow soon.
that looks like so much fun – that is one thing we boys loved was the snow – mom not so much π
Mom loves the snow as much as we do. It is so dreary without snow right now. Hopefully we will get some next week.
Bailie was making snowballs! What fun. π I think I remember playing in the snow. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I’m sure you did dabble your paws in it a few times before you flew off to Mickey Mouse land π It is so much fun, especially the first few snows of the year.
Looks like a lot of fun. You sure collected a lot of snowballs on your fur…a little weight resistance, that’s good!
We look more like snowballs than hounds with the wet snow for sure! It is lots of fun to play in. If it is deep it adds to the workout as we have to hop through it, and if it is slippery, we work on our coordination to stay upright.
Bailie you are well prepared for a snowball fight :o)
I’m sure she would enjoy one. Want to come over when we get more snow to have one with her?
can I bring my umbrella or is that way too embarrassing? :o)
That would be rather silly. Get a fun hat!
Glad you enjoyed a taste, there’s certainly more to come!
We have our paws crossed for next week. This warm, brown weather is getting all our spirits down.
That would be Torrey, she loves the snow. I’m glad you finally got snow to pay in.
Such a bummer it melted, but hopefully more is coming in a few days!
We are supposed to get snow tonight! Mom is so happy. She loves a Saturday snow. We got our Olaf hats too Emma so mom says it will be photo time! I’m crossing my paws you guys get snow soon! your doodle friend Dash
Sadly, they say rain on Sunday because it is too darn warm, but next week, maybe snow. Yay! Enjoy your snow!
I think that you could make snowball boots the next big fashion trend! It is in the high 70’s here today, but we are supposed to get buckets of rain this weekend. I’d love more snow this year. **paws crossed
Unfortunately, we will get rain on Sunday here too, but then it should get colder and we hope for snow next week. One doesn’t live in MN for a warm and rainy December!
Y’all sure picked up the scent of that white stuff might quick like! That makes my whiskers shiver though.
Kitties aren’t real snow fans. When Bert tries to run away and runs out into the snow, he is happy to be captured and brought back in where it is warm.
Oh, we know all about snowballs in the fur! Good thing we don’t get snow too often. That makes it even that much more fun. Don’t hate me but it’s nearly 70 degrees here today!
We are not bothered by your warm weather in the least. We are trying to get cold weather. None of us like the warm stuff and rain this time of year. Snow is what should be happening.
Omd, it looks like you pups had loads of fun in the snow!!!! We STILL haven’t got more than a silly little sprinkle of it yet!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
This is all gone, but maybe we will get some next week. Paws crossed.
Oh boy that white stuff looks like fun!
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
It is a lot of fun!
We’d love some snow here.
We need a new load here too since this all melted. We are hoping the real winter starts in a few days.
You lucky dogs playing in the snow, it looks like so much fun, I am very jealous! We had our first snow way before Thanksgiving, 11 inches so a lot. The only thing Taffy sniffed out through the snow was the rabbit poo she won’t stop eating. It’s been in the 50s here with 60s (but rain) this weekend so not looking good for snow. Love Dolly
Thankfully, the colder weather is on the way here. Looks like rain again on Sunday, but maybe snow next week. We really want the cold and snow.
That looks like so much fun, and Bailie is such a nut! We are starting to worry we’re never going to get snow this year, and may not even have a White Christmas!
I am OK if it holds off one more week though, then Sheba will be able to get out and play in it too. She has one more week before she gets her stitches out, and then we hope she’ll be good to go.
They are talking about possible snow the beginning of the week for us and we are sure hoping they are right! No snow stinks.
WE just Can’t bring ourselves to be Happy about ANYBUDDY getting SNOW….
We love to be buried in the white stuff and have temps in the single digits to go along with it. We love winter! You can send your snow and cold over to us.
Fingers crossed you get more snow! We just have a flood here lol.
We’ve heard about all the rain. No good. Hope you dry out a bit.
You must have frozen whiskers by now!!!
Oh no, we run around so much we rarely get cold!
Looks like you and Bailie really enjoyed the snow! We hope you get lots more soon!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
If it would stop being so warm and be the right December temps we will be in luck!
Bailie’s a little hoot π I don’t mind the wild winter we’re currently having, but I’m sure that since it’s so mild in December, we’ll get our fair share of freezing temps & snow in February.
Bailie is a troubling teenager, but we still love her, and she is entertaining to say the least! As long as no one is hurt, it is all good! We don’t like mild, we all look forward to the bitter cold and snow, but so far, that is pretty scarce. Maybe this week things will turn around.
Love to WATCH it snow – NOT crazy about the snowballed fur! We keep a bucket with warm and a towel by the doggy to melt off the snow legs
The snowball thing is a real mess! Hope for any kind of snow, but the wet stuff is problematic.
I’m with you, Emma – I’d rather have the cold weather, at least in the winter!!
This warm, grey, rainy stuff is lousy. Paws crossed for cold and snow.
Our snow has long since melted away and now we just have rain. Brown dawgs are not happy about it.
Ours too. Mom is not in a very jolly mood these days with the warm weather and rain. It is no fun!
Some great first snow fun!
Wish we had snow again. This weather is depressing.
