Neighbor is the word for week 50 in the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge. I see myself as a pretty good neighbor, especially at holiday time!
We are lucky to have super nice neighbors all around us. Everyone is friendly, helps each other out, and we even have a get together now and then! My sisters and I do have a favorite neighbor, the little four year old boy next door. When he was born until he was about two, Katie felt the need to guard him. It was so cute! She was never taught the behavior, it was simply her instinct. After that I started to play with him through the fence, and once Bailie arrived, those two became besties! They race and chase together all the time when he is outside in his yard, and he tells people Bailie is his friend! Since we are so fond of him and we are good neighbors, we get him a gift for Christmas, some treats for his parents, and our Christmas card with our photos on it. Being a neighbor is all about being friendly and helpful!

Little humans are always lots of fun to play with. Hope your little neighbor gets lots of fun gifts from Santa Paws.
He’s the only child and only grandkid, so he gets pretty spoiled.
How nice of you to remember your neighbor. Sadly all the kids in our neighborhood have grown up so there are no little humans for the brown dawgs to play with.
That does happen. We have lots of teenagers now and some will be off to college already next year.
It’s great to have good neighbors and I bet the little boy will love your card the most…. a card with his friends on it :o)
He is so nuts about Bailie, he talks about her like she is a human. So cute and Bailie loves to see him too.
my grampy always says dogs are humans… they only look different :o)
I like that!
It so nice to have good neighbors, I bet they just love you!!
The entire neighborhood always loves our singing out in the yard, but the immediate neighbors enjoy visiting us through the fence.
You are the best neighbors a little boy could ever have! Such good girls. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
He has had fun with all of us. He is a sweet little boy.
Looks like you are all set for Santa
Lily & Edward
I’m ready. Bailie is still working on moving to the nice list.
Awe that is super sweet π
He is a fun little human.
You are so nice Emma! I bet you all wear each other out running around.
We wear the little guy out for sure!
Always good to have a neighbor just as eager for adventures as your pups are.
What dog doesn’t enjoy a good game of race and chase along the fence?
That is very sweet Emma, Bailie, and Katie! It’s always nice to have good neighbors
He is definitely our favorite. Hopefully he won’t forget us when he is older.
It’s so great to have nice neighbors! We don’t have many children close by in our neighborhood, but once in a while we do run into them when walking. Kobi always loved kids so much, and Sheba does too. It is so sweet of you to give a gift to the little boy…I bet he is thrilled.
We always like kids, but we also like to jump, so most of the time, we don’t get too close. Kids aren’t ready for GBGV huggles.
When you have great neighbors, it is such a bonus!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It is so nice. We can’t imagine living in a neighborhood with people who were not nice.
Ahhh! Having a nice neighbour is lovely.
It is a really nice thing.
I would love to be your neighbor
You would have to move here, because we aren’t good city dogs long term. π
We have several doggies as our neighbors and they are pretty good from what I can see!
That is good. I’m sure you are happy you don’t want to meet them.
It is so nice that you have a little human friend. We don’t have any around us so I’m not used to them. I guess that I will find out about them when my boy and his wife have their little girl this spring. I hear that they smell good most of the time! BOL! XXOO Bentley
Just don’t get caught with your paws in the diaper pail. I hear it smells terrific but dogs are supposed to stay out. We aren’t around kids much, but he is a lot of fun.
How excellent that you and your sisters are teaching your little neighbor all about dogs. Someday when he’s a grown up, he might given some lucky dogs an excellent home. And it will all be thanks to you, Bailie, and Katie. π
He even has stuffed dogs he has named after us. I guess we are really important to him.
How sweet! I bet the boy next door loves having good “neighbor dogs” to play with and be friends with. Maybe he’ll grow up and own a kennel or dog training business one day. You never know! π
For now, he just enjoys hanging out and running around with us.
That’s nice that you have good neighbors! Our nice neighbors all moved away and the new neighbors are … crazy. Seriously… crazy.
That is a bummer. Good neighbors make a big difference.
It’s what Christmas is all about…sharing gifts with neighbors, friends and family
That is correct.
Emma what a great neighbor you are! I just bark at them, but Taffy crawled under the fence once to go play with the boys 2 houses over. They thought that was fun! Mom and dad not so much. Love Dolly
So far we have never tried to get out of the fenced yard. Mom would probably die if we ever did.
Emma! you girls are great neighbors! We don’t have any little people around us. We have a college boy who is mom’s nephew who visits us on Sunday. I adore him! We can’t believe he is so grown up though–we loved him when he was a little boy too! great post Emma, your doodle friend Dash.
There are a lot of kids around, but he is the only one that is nuts about us.
You’re a good neighbor Emma.
We try our best.
Your Christmas outfits are so cute, Emma! I love the bobbly Christmas tree hat. You seem like you would be a wonderful neighbor to have! π
If nothing else, we keep all the neighbors amused with our outdoor photo shoots!
How wonderful to have such a friendly neighbor!!
We are lucky as our neighborhood is full of fun people.
That’s so wonderful that you have nice neighbors! I wish we did!
After living in Germany where people were simply, not nice to one another, it was great to come back here to such a friendly atmosphere!
That’s super nice of you. Sampson has a similar relationship with the boys next door. He loves them so much and if he’s outside, he roos at them when they walk to the bus stop.
You really are a good neighbor. That’s wonderful! I need to do more to make friends with the peeps nearby. Our Oregon weather makes that hard, since no one likes to go out in all of the rain, but I’ll make it happen somehow!
Jean from Welcome to the Menagerie
We are the only ones out in our area part of the year when it is raining or cold and snowing, but when the weather is nice, everyone is out.
Having a great neighbor is something special. I have johns family as neighbors so that is pretty special too.
In that case, you really do know your neighbors.
We miss our VA neighbors. The ones we have now are nice, but it’s not quite the same. We’re patient though. Merry Christmas my friends!
Sometimes it takes some time to find out who all is around you.
