Officer Emma was called in to a domestic dispute the other night. You may recall the adorable Gingerbread Scratcher home I bought for my kitties for Christmas? I’m sorry to report, this rubble behind me is all that is left of it!
In case you haven’t seen a shot of the adorable little home, I luckily happen to have taken one shortly after it was built last month.
I was out on my evening patrol the other night with my deputy Bailie around 1700 hours when the call came in. A witness called 911 to report a serious domestic dispute. We cut our patrol short and headed to the scene.
The scene of the domestic dispute was ugly! This pile of rubble is all that was left of that adorable gingerbread home. The home had been completely destroyed!
When I arrived one of the parties involved in the crime was attempting to flee.
The other party involved arrived at the scene after the other party left. She seemed quite distraught at the condition of her property.
I conducted an interview with the witness who had called in this dispute. She said the female was in the house attempting to relax when the male came home. He was angry because his evening meal was late. He demanded to have the house to himself. When the female refused to leave, a fight ensued. It was so heated it blew out the walls of the house and also blew the roof right off.
Both of the parties involved in this domestic dispute once again returned to the rubble of their former home. I ordered them to kiss and make up which they did. The male seems to need some anger management. Apparently he often becomes violent when his meals are late. At this point, they are hoping to rebuild their sweet little gingerbread home. Hopefully they can find a good contractor to get the job done quickly.
BOL, so glad you were able to solve the case! ๐ Hope they can rebuild there house! ๐
With Mom’s help, it is standing once again, but it is not as sturdy as it used to be. Too much damage!
cohabitation is never easy – they sure did do a good job on destroying it – looks like you had your own mini tornado go through it ๐
It looked like the aftermath of a tornado!
Oh No! I sure hope that cute little house can be rebuilt!! Mr. Male needs to chill-out! Good thing you made him make up with the Mrs! BOL
He gets real rough when he is hungry. That we know for sure!
That ginger breads house was a lot of work and it was going to take a lot of work to put it, back
Together. Good luck!
It is standing once again, but some of the damage can’t be fixed so it isn’t quite the same house it once was.
So happy you were able to restore peace in the family.
Cat bro Bert can be a real home wrecker sometimes when he is mad!
wow…. that was THE domestic dispute of the year :o) I’m glad you solved this case with a kiss and you could restore peace… otherwise it would be complicated for the two parties to dispute after the domum lies in ruins :o) Thanks for such a fabulous true crime story Officer Emma :O)
Good thing you were not here as you may have eaten the debris! Thankfully, we do have peace once again.
Oh, that’s too bad about the house but I’m glad you responded to the scene quickly. Kitties, be good!!!
Cat bro Bert has a good nose for trouble, Sophie was collateral damage.
This was beyond adorable! Thanks for the Monday smiles. I feel so much safer knowing Officer Emma is on duty!
Thank you. Someone has to keep an eye out for security!
It looks like the house exploded. Did they both try to fit in there at the same time?
Millie & Walter
We were out on our evening patrol and potty route, so Katie was the only eye witness. She says they both tried to be in the house, but Bert doesn’t share, so they blew the roof off and the walls out I guess.
Does deputy Bailie happen to have an alibi for the night of the crime??
She was on the evening patrol with me at the time of the crime. It was quite evident cat bro Bert was the root of the dispute when we arrived on scene.
Good detective work, Officer Emma! Also good advice to them! I hope their reconciliation is permanent!
Those two felines don’t interact much but sometimes it goes well, and other times it is an explosion as I saw at the crime scene.
OMC…best blog post I’ve read today!!! I sure hope they’re able to rebuild LOL!!!
Thank you. Sometimes you kitties make for headline news! They are rebuilding, but some of the damage won’t be able to be repaired.
LOl…Bad kitty, very bad kitty.
Yes, they can be really bad kitties, but what is a dog to do?
Officer Emma, not only are you adorable, but you are also a great police officer. You incident report was spot-on. Who knew Sophie could be so fierce? XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
I think it was Bert that started it all, but she does fight back sometimes.
Excellent PAWlice work…. We hope that they will REMAIN Peaceful and Destruction Free.
I’m hoping they get some more time in the house before it has to be taken to the dump.
I love this! Reminds me of a comic book. Glad all was solved;)
Thanks. Sometimes these incidents happen, and they need to be reported.
Bert…be careful, you’ll end up in the slammer if she files charges.
That cat needs some time behind bars. He causes trouble for everyone around here!
You can never tell what is going on behind closed gingerbread doors! BOL! BOL! This made my morning complete. โบ
I love that behind gingerbread doors! Happy to start everyone’s week off on a fun note.
bet there were hairs pulled out and everything
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
Didn’t see many extra hairs in the area, but they were acting mighty odd when I arrived on scene.
Well, it’s a good thing the witness came forward and got you on the case, Emma! If anyone can straighten out that bad boy, it will be you. We hope the house gets rebuilt and he knows he’s in deep trouble with you if he tries it again!
He is lucky Sophie is a pretty easy going kitty, or it could really have been ugly!
this was too darned funny!!!!! That is why I rarely buy those cardboard homes…they ALWAYS fall apart, dispute or not!! And I only have ONE cat MOL! catchatwithcarenandcody
I guess maybe Cody fights with the house? Mom has made houses out of boxes for the kitties before, but I thought this one was so cute for $10, I had to buy it for them for Christmas, and now they have destroyed it.
it is a good thing Bailie was outside at the time of the crime. Just sayin’ she is a lot like ME, and I could really get into tearing that cardboard Gingerbread apart. Yesterday I shredded the foam off the back of a rug. Sparkle
Oh dear! Bailie was definitely on patrol with me. She and Bert do get into a lot of mischief together, but she has never shown any interest in that house.
Oh, those hungry males….I’m glad you got both parties to kiss & make up ๐
Cat bro Bert is a real bear when he is hungry. He always destroys stuff, but never the house!
I hope they get their issues worked out! Good job, Officer Emma!
I think we all with all have issues with Bert forever…he is a troublemaker.
As a DV survivor this made me laugh, thank you for this. G-d Bless our pets and their funny ways
I sure hope it has been fun for everyone to read, no serious message behind it!
LOL… Oh Emma, this story cracked me up. I hope that these two kitties are able to work out their differences so that their home doesn’t explode again!
It is sad for the poor house, but everything seems to be coming back together. Glad you enjoyed it.
Emma, you did good!!
I have to stop crime before it spreads at my house.
Are you sure some big ol’ wolf didnt’ huff and puff and blow that house down??
According to our witness, who called in the dispute, it was the cats themselves. Cat bro Bert can get pretty upset when his meal is late.
Finley likes to break up da kitty domestic disputes round here.
We don’t usually get involved in the cat stuff, but Bailie and I have our own disputes with cat bro Bert as he can be a troublemaker.
Great job settling down that kitty dispute, we think we may have been a bit frightened to get between a kitty dispute!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
We have a lot of disputes ourselves with cat bro Bert as he is always causing trouble. Sophie doesn’t like dogs, so we don’t worry much about her. She would rather run away from us than fight us.
Awesome job taking care of that dispute!! We are glad you were in charge and the kitties have now made up!
For now we have peace, but I don’t know how long it will last.
If the insurance company pays for the rebuild, they’ll probably want the new house to have an automatic feeder to keep such an incident from happening again. ๐
The house is back up, but not looking as nice as it used too. Lots of irreparable damage. Bert can’t have an auto feeder as he would eat until he exploded like the house! He is tough to live with, but we do love him.
That is some crazy destruction…lol.
Like an in house tornado I would say!
We haven’t tried the wabbit but Aspen loves Hooves he like to have something he can grab to chew on so we always have a couple around.
We always have hooves around for Bailie too.
OMG, funny! Glad no one was hurt but the poor house.
The cute gingerbread cottage is back together, but not looking quite as nice as before!
Well, it was certainly a cute little house while it lasted! LOL!
แฆ husky hugz แฆ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
It’s back up, but not quite the same after the blow up.
I’m thinking the female might have laid the smack down and told him it wasn’t necessarily HER job to fix HIS meal. ๐ I do hope they get their home back though, it looked pretty bad.
The home is back up, but not quite as nice as it once was.
What, you mean Bailiee didn’t do it? Love Dolly
No, it was mainly her cohort, cat bro Bert. He is the naughtiest pet by far around here.
Poor Katie – looks like she’s whispering on the phone LOL
Poor Katie is right. Cat bro Bert is always abusing her too. He tries to steal the food out of her bowl while she is eating because these days she picks at her food and eats slowly, and he likes to bite and play in her tail. She is too polite to bite him back.
