It’s my day to chill out, it’s Sunday, you know. Yesterday I was out practicing my tracking, and we came across this field of snow boulders. Naturally, I had to chill out on one for a bit! These boulders kind of remind me of two years ago when Bailie and I had a twinhome!
The snow boulders were scattered about over a real large area. I think the kids made them during school last week. Snow boulders would sure be a lot of work to make. I was glad to just stumble onto them rather than having to make them myself. Maybe some of you lucky ducks with all the new snow this weekend can make some of these?
Last but not least, I squeezed into the snow boulder fort to chill out a bit. All the boulders made a good wind block, and it was a windy day out. Snowmen are a lot of fun, but I really like these snow boulders, something different! I guess big dogs could have a snow ball fight with some of these. Hope everyone remembers to kick back and put your paws up for a while today!
Today IβmΒ joining the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop, sponsored by Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever. Remember to stop by and visit some of the other blogs on the hop to meet new friends!
Looks like you had an awesome time checking out your snow boulders! Stay warm Emma!
They were really awesome. Mom said it looked a lot like Bedrock where the Flintstones live.
oh I would love to build an igloo with all that giant snow boulders… or maybe you could open a snow boulder howltel?
A snow boulder howltel would sure be fun!
Huh, some of those snow boulders are pretty big! It looks like they would make great hunting perches, that is if any other critters are out in the snow. I bet it was a lot of fun stumbling on to them. Your photos on and among them are perfect! Stay warm, Emma.
They were pretty crazy! I think the wide open field would make it tough to see and or hide from critters, though. Fun stuff to play around on.
Are you sure they weren’t some Snowman babies – or the giant eggs of some snow dinosaur ?
They could be giant dinosaur eggs.
Looks fun but really chilly π
xoxo,
Bell Fur Zoo
It’s not that cold anymore…in the twenties which feels good.
How cool! You are a great “chiller”! BOL!
A cool chilling pic no matter how you look at it!
Those boulders definitely look like fun…Luke would love to climb up on those too! We imagine there are plenty of people with enough snow now to do that, but we got missed by the big storm so we don’t have enough yet. π
We didn’t get any either, but on a big field if you start rolling, we have enough to make them here.
Brrrrrrrr, Emma its COLD outside here in Florida! 35 degrees! The mom says she has never seen a snow boulder before. How the times and creativity have changed. Stay warm. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
We heard in the pan handle yesterday there was some snow. 35 is cold for FL, but we are toasty warm in the 20’s here this week.
Aren’t you cold lying on the snow bolder? I think New York got more snow than you guys did this weekend. A first !
We sit and lie down in the snow all the time in our yard, no problem. We are jealous of that snowstorm everyone out east got. This winter is kind of a dud here in the midwest. Enjoy the snow if you can get the door open to go out!
Those sure are big! That is one big bunch of snow, but it seems like you like it!
I do. My sisters and I love winter. Lots of fun.
I guess you are chilling out sitting on top of that cold snowball. Have a great Sunday.
I sure am!
You blend in the snow, just like me! hehe
xoxoxo,
Erika and Sebastian
I do somewhat, but my black spots give me away. My white Kuvasz sister Katie blends in much better!
Looks like you’re having fun in the snow!
Having fun using the hard work of others. Perfect!
Those are some super big boulders! All our snow has melted.
That is sad. Winter needs snow. We are going to be way too warm again the end of the week which makes us all sad.
now thats a snowball
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
You got that right!
Wow! Those are ginormous! It must take snow boulders a long time to melt, so they last longer than a snowman. βΊ Snuggle up.
I think it will take them a long time to melt because they are really big and really firmly packed snow too.
Looks like a great place to chill out!
It was nice to rest on a snow boulder.
The mom remembers making snow forts when she was a kid. Enjoy your chilled out Sunday!
Sometimes if we have a lot of snow, Mom will help us dig a fort or tunnel. That is fun.
those photos are so cool! You should hollow those out and make igloos!! We used to do that when I was a kid, I loved them! DakotasDen
We make the igloos out of snow piles at home when we have enough snow.
How fun to find some snow boulders. Happy Sunday!!
We’ve never found a field of boulders before, so it was fun.
Those snow boulders are super cool! That looks like fun!
They were super fun to see because there were so many of them.
Wow, Emma, that’s so cool. I’ve barely seen snow and never any snow boulders. It looks pawfully cold.
I don’t think they would be interesting for cats, but we love the snow and stuff, so they were fun for me.
It’d take some truly GINORMOUS dogs to stage a snowball fight with THOSE! MOL! All our snow melted today – YAY!!!!
They are huge! Sorry to hear your snow melted. We are hoping for more, but I don’t think cats are big snow fans normally.
Wow, we’ve NEVER seen snowballs like that before! I’d sure not want to be on the other end of that snowball fight!! Denise & ~Shasta
They are like snowballs for giants. Super cool looking.
That is the coolest thing; no pun intended! Looks like a lot of fun.
Love & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
I’m one cool hound!
That looks like a fun fort! My huskies love to play and dig in the snowbanks to make their own little tunnel forts!
α¦ husky hugz α¦ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
When we have enough snow, Mom comes out and digs with us to make a nice fort in a snow pile.
Somebody did a lot of work to make those boulders.
We think it was a school kids project, but we are not sure.
