Snowstorms and dogs make for fun! This winter was not been a good one until Tuesday. We have been lacking in the snow department, had a couple real cold spells, but then also several super warm days which really make a mess! We were so excited when the real snow arrived Tuesday and we got about eleven inches.
Bailie and I got out in it all when the first six inches or so had arrived. As always, racing was the main plan, and race we did! It was really cool with the heavy, big flakes pouring out of the sky!
I may be nine, but I can still fly through the deep snow really well, and I enjoy it!
Bailie and I were racing so fast at one point, it looks like I almost tipped over!
Look out world! Bailie, incoming! Ears are up and snow is being kicked up!
I’m daring Bailie to come and get me. Come on, don’t be a chicken!
Here we go, attack of the hounds!
This chase and wrestle game in a snowstorm is downright ear raising! Not only is the snow flying, the ears are as well.
I’m ready to head inside to get some nourishment! Snowstorms and dogs tend to create quite an appetite.
Thankfully, I recently ordered some bundles of my favorite Raw Paws Pet Food treats (affiliate link). They make super healthy all natural treats and chews and the bundle option makes them even more affordable. Now I have to decide which chew I’m in the mood for! Do your dogs get hungry after racing around in the deep snow?
now that is two happy happy dogs – look at you both flying through the snow – that looks like so much fun
It is a lot of fun in the fresh fluff!
That looks like FUN! I do have puppy memories of racing and playing in snow. do you both get snowballs in your furs? XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
Only when it is wet snow. This is pretty dry.
Oh I wish we had that white stuff ( mom doesn’t) I could have so much fun while my big brother is out on the show road. What stories I would have to tell HIM!!! I LOVE to bury things in that white stuff! Little Elbe ( I’m getting bigger everyday)
Every dog should have their own snow to play in each winter. It is a blast!
Now that looks like fun! Enjoy!
It’s so fun, but tiring too with all the hopping in the deep stuff.
ONE (or two) Dog’s FUN is another’s HORROR… WE lean towards the HORROR of SNOW.
At least we didn’t make a snowman!
Look at all that fun!
There are no days like snow days!
What FUN!! We think you both have some awesome ear flappage going on!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Our big floppys really give us good lift!
We don’t get snow, but we do get hungry after playing. Did you build a snowdog??
Nope, it wasn’t wet enough for that. We just zoom around and wrestle now and then.
Rub it in why don’t you? El Nino is ruining our winter here, but mom says it is kinda nice for a change not trekking through unshovelled sidewalks. Love Dolly
El Nino wrecked out winter for the most part, but we are enjoying this dumping.
Jealous! Great shots of the pups plowing through the powder. Enjoy the snow for us.
It’s great powder snow, just a lovely snowstorm all the way around.
What a whole lot of fun going on there. Enjoy!
We are really enjoying the fresh load. Lots of fun.
that sure is SNOW much fun :o) and I’m glad you got a lot of that ice cream from the sky :o) … your flying ears are priceless, I love it :o)
We do really enjoy it as you can see!
Oh boy, you really love the white stuff. How lovely to watch you frolick.
Emma and Buster
We do! It is always so much fun and a good workout!
Look at you go! I didn’t know anyone could run so fast in the snow!
And the snow is up to my belly! We love it!
Yahoo…what fun photos!! It’s great to see you girls having so much fun in the snow. No wonder you worked up such an appetite!
We’ve had warm weather again, and our snow is about gone, just leaving behind stupid ice from the rain we had yesterday. They are talking about a possible snowstorm next week though…the crew all has their paws crossed for it!
The snowstorm was perfect, just what we needed, and we are truly enjoying it! Hope you guys get a load!
Boy oh boy that snow looks fun
Lily & Edward
You two would disappear in the deep snow! I would have to sniff around to find you and dig you out!
It makes me cold just looking at you guys – although it does look like fun!
We prefer to freeze over sweating, but seriously, we are plenty warm racing around.
Glad y’all had fun in da snow!
We still are enjoying it. We just love a good snowfall!
Oh wow! Look at you girls go! How fun! I wish we got snow here!
We really do enjoy it, especially when it is fresh!
We are so jealous of your snow!! Our ground is COMPLETELY GREEN here in the Detroit area…unreal DakotasDen
That is no fun. Mom lived in Belleville (Detroit) in 86-87 and said the winter was pretty warm and gray, not much snow.
Sounds great, 11″! The most we have had was 3 inches and then 2″ with rain in between to wash them away quickly. Mica still loves snow but just walks out to eat some, Aspen is the one running and eating and bouncing, etc. They get hungry from a woods walk and swim but not really snow.
For us shorter dogs, a lot of snow is a big workout. The Newfs would sure love our latest snow.
What fun. We have snow at our cabin, but nothing here at home. If fact our yard has become a muddy mess. Phooey.
That is lousy! A winter in the northland without snow is downright depressing. We are thankful we got some right after Christmas, and now this nice batch.
We get so little snow that my girls don’t really get to play in it that much. And most times it doesn’t last for more than a day or two. It’s a real bummer! When I was a kid on Long Island – in the 60s – my brother and I used to take our family poodles out in the back yard and play with them until we all got cold. Those were the days before global warming screwed-up the weather patterns.
We are all very sad when there isn’t any snow in the winter. Luckily, we usually get it, even if it arrives a bit later in the season. The El Nino thing is messing it all up this year.
What fun! I remember those days! Raw Pet Foods are Bully Rings are our favorites!
Oh we love the snow and good snacks after the fun is all the better.
