Sweetheart Stew from Merrick is the topic of the post today being covered by me, Bailie. Emma said I can’t cook worth a darn and have so many boyfriends, I was the perfect dog to review a meal in a can that tastes as if it was homemade! I love food, so I jumped at the opportunity! Now I have so much stew, I don’t know what to do!
Merrick is our standard kibble here at home, so when they come out with new limited edition 2016 Winter and Spring Seasonals, they fit right into our meal program. The Sweetheart Stew is grain free, and made with chicken, sweet potatoes , and red apples.
I’m a self admitted love sick teenage girl, who likes silly stuff, so I found it super cool when I saw the sweet potato slices are in the shape of a heart! Isn’t that amazing! It wasn’t just this one, every one in the can is this way!
Waiting for photos to be taken before I could eat was torture! You know it is good food when you start to drool just looking at the adorable can!
Finally my mom poured out the can into my food bowl. Look at those chunks of meat covered in a nice gravy with the sweet potatoes and apples. You can’t tell me you don’t want a bite yourself!
I got my scent hound nose right down into the bowl to breath in the fine aroma! Oh boy, Sweetheart Stew is something I could easily serve to the boys I’m in love with, and they would think I had been slaving in the kitchen all day!
After what seemed like eighty seven lifetimes, I was finally allowed to eat this delectable meal! Oh my, it is so tasty! Every #BestDogEver deserves a meal like this one!
Words don’t really express my thoughts, but good to the last lick would be a good way to describe how I felt after eating my Sweetheart Stew portion!
Just want to tell your #bestdogever @MerrickPetCare #sweetheartstew is good to the last lick https://t.co/6nbXLE1Iiu pic.twitter.com/u9rAyjEfMc

Oh Bailie, could you make me some of the yummy stew????
Bailie is real good at serving it up from the can to the bowl!
Mmmm, looks delicious!
Good down to the last lick!
look like the perfect food for a romantic meal
Exactly what my love sick sister needs!
Bailie, we’re surprised you didn’t try to get your Mom to let you invite all your boyfriends over to share that with you. Or did you prefer to just have it all to yourself and your sisters? π
Bailie can’t invite the boys over as they would most likely be jealous of each other and fight. Many of them live within about two blocks of us. She may need to deliver dinner instead.
Sounds good; but chicken-meat meals bother the girls’ tummies and seem to make Shadow’s reflux a little worse so I stay away from it as much as possible.
A lot of dogs have chicken issues. So far my sisters and I have no food issues. We have a rotating diet so chicken is only present now and then. This is good chicken stew, though.
That is pretty sweet to have the heart shaped sweet potatoes!
It is a super cute idea.
You guys have enough stew to host a serious dinner party. Enjoy!
We have quite a bit, but with three of us working on it, it won’t last all that long!
Pierre wants to share with you, Bailie! That looks delicious. I love the sweet potato hearts. β₯ β₯
Bailie has enough to share a can, and since she can’t cook, it’s a good thing!
My goodness, good cookin’ and good lookin’ runs in your family sweet Bailie!
Bailie isn’t quite the chef I am, but she can look the part and feed good meals with Merrick wet food!
OMD we will all have our β₯’s Set on this fur NEXT Valentine’s Day… GRAND review!!!
Or you can use it for any “love” occasion!
Looks so yummy!
It is very yummy in our tummies!
Yum! That looks delicious! I bet the girls would like it, too! Great review, Emma!
We have yet to find anything from Merrick we don’t like!
Bailie is so pretty with those eyes! My my! watch out boys!!! Good review. Looks yummy!!! your doodle friend Dash
Bailie and her eye liner and huggles is a dangerous combination. Good thing she is spayed! She loves the boys!

It’s real tasty, and we love those sweet potato hearts!
Enjoy your stew Emma!
Wabbit stew would be better, but we have that too. Chicken is good for variety.
That looks super yummy!
The mom went away for 2 days and did not get me any Sweetheart Stew! What a bummer. XOXO Sparkle the PBGV
That is sad! I wonder if they still have some at the store you could get?
Yes! The mom checked and brought us home some Sweetheart Stew! She also brought me a Horton the Elephant toy. I forgive her. Sparkle
That is awesome! Elephants have big ears like us hounds to, so that is a good toy!
That looks and sounds yummy
