Today we are revisiting the Minnehaha Bunny. I stopped by back in September 2012 to have a look and take a photo. For wabbit loving hounds like myself, it’s a must see!
Last weekend, Bailie had a “mommy and me day” and happened to stop and have her photo taken by this gigantic wabbit. She was quite amazed! He was still wearing his holiday bow. We’ve heard, people often stop by and “dress him up” for seasons and holidays.
Seeing such a large wabbit put a real smile on Bailie’s face! For a bit of history, the bunny was sculpted by Jeffrey Barber in 2002. The bunny’s official name is “Cottontail on the Trail,” but everyone knows him as simply, “The Minnehaha Bunny”.

I bet it looks fun at Easter time but it is probably too crazy busy to get a photo that time of year.
The photo of Bailie smiling gave me a “Major~Ha~Ha” instead of a Minnehaha! We could really make some jerky out of that guy!

I know. It is so cool, but we are rarely in that part of town and then we can never find it, but we have been there three times now.

I think almost any hound would be impressed with a jumbo bunny! He is super cool.
Bunnies are the only little critters that excite Honey. But I wonder if she’d ever recognize that big fella as the things that arouse her so much when she visits her aunt?

THAT is a really large wabbit! How do you hounds control yourselves around it? It reminds me of this gigantic turkey Sampson and I found at Thanksgiving. I made him pose with it but never used it. 🙂
