Got Malczewski’s Easter Lamb Butter? I was lucky and just had my supply delivered personally by people from Upstate New York. My Gramma grew up in Buffalo (home of this butter), and according to her, Easter is not the same without Malczewski’s Lamb Butter.
I don’t eat butter myself, but I like to keep the humans happy, so I’m glad the Easter Lamb Butter has safely arrived! All the talk about it makes me think it must be tasty, but I swear, I’ve never tried lamb butter. It’s a family tradition that shouldn’t be broken. Does your family have crazy traditions like mine does?
Today, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
Have never heard of that before….no traditions here – Mom is so boring π
It’s a Buffalo NY thing mainly, but those from Buffalo who live elsewhere know of it.
Hi Y’all!
Except for going to sunrise service, Easter is a quiet time here.
Happy Easter!
Hawk aka BrownDog
We love the egg hunts for nose work practice leading up to the big day the most.
We’ve never heard of that butter, but we think traditions are very important! I go on two shopping trips per year with my sisters and a couple of girlfriends. We’ve been doing this for many years, and we always buy and wear matching or coordinating t-shirts for our trips! I’m sure many people would think that was silly, but we always get good responses from servers at restaurants and such. We just got new shirts for our spring shopping trip, and it has paw prints on it so everyone knows we’re animal lovers!
That sounds like so much fun! It’s good to be goofy sometimes and the t-shirt idea is great!
Wow? it didn’t melt? Well, Emma, I love butter. My old cousin the yellow lab Tugboat who isn’t with us anymore but who everyone loved, LOVED butter. You couldn’t have it out with Tugboat trying to get it! So, in honor of him, I love butter too. But mom keeps it high and away from me! Have a great day, Emma. It’s snowing here!! Your doodle friend Dash
We’re waiting for our 6″ of white stuff on the way later today. I’m sure it will melt in a few days. Our family brought it along for us, in a cooler. A girl needs connections. I have no interest in stealing the butter, but no surprise, Bert will steal it!
I have never heard of Lamb Butter, but I bet it is yummy!
It’s just their own blend of butter in the shape of a lamb for Easter.
Emma had a little lamb, its fleece was…YELLOW?? The mom has never heard of Lamb butter, and she lived in Buffalo for 8 years. Times were rather tough for her family in those years..XOXO Sparkle
It’s a tradition there like the Polish sausage. I’m sure it was there, but she may not have run into it.
Is it really made from lamb? Ewe!! Love Dolly
No, silly! It’s real butter in the shape of a lamb for Easter π No ewe involved!
I was about to say, butter for dogs!? This makes a lot more sense.
No, Mom says butter is not good for dogs.
THAT is a grrrrreat tradition… We have seen Lamb CAKES… butt not the Butter…
At the Ohio State FAIR… they do a Butter COW Sculpture every year…
Here in dairyland at our state fair, they carve the heads of the princesses in butter. They sit in a cooler for hours getting it done. I think this is much more simple!
Enjoy your butter. Have a great day.
I won’t, but the humans will.
We don’t have any Easter traditions. Your family must have a terrific Easter dinner. β₯
I tend to focus on the ham myself, but the humans seem to like all the other foods too. We also enjoy our nose work egg hunts.
I love that tradition! as long as my mommas grampy was alive they always brought a bottle with easter water home on sunday. the trick was to walk to that well in the forest and back with the water without talking…my momma never nailed it… lol
LOL! Sounds like fun!
Bet my kitty brofur Travis would be after dat butter – he’s always tryin to steal butter!
Yes, my cat bro Bert wants to eat it too. Cats!
I’ve never seen that before but what a great tradition! Sometimes it’s the small things that make a holiday very special because they take you back to your childhood. Coloring eggs is my favorite tradition and I still do it even though my two sons now live out of town. These past few years, I’ve used Koolaid packets to colors the eggs. It’s so much fun and they have a fruity smell instead of a vinegar smell! Happy Easter!!
Most years I have colored eggs too. Since there are no mini humans in the house, Mom did it with us dogs, but this year we opted to make deviled eggs instead.
Oooooo, that sounds like something we need to try
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
If you like butter, you should.
What a great tradition! We like hanging around the backyard on Easter while Mama and Daddy go to church and then eat ham!
Smileys!

Sounds like a relaxing time. I would like to eat ham myself, but I rarely manage to get any.
I’ve never heard of that before! We actually don’t really have any traditions! We just kind of wing everything! LOL
Easter is an odd holiday, it is special, but then again it is not. Food is the only thing we have that is standard.
I love all of the comments here and wish there was a “like” button, ’cause I’d “like” every one of them! I wondered if the butter was made from lamb too, since it’s called Lamb Butter….glad you addressed that misunderstanding. It would be cool if they made it in other shapes besides lamb, too.
Love that you have such a great tradition and your dog is absolutely adorable!
Well, if I had a lamb I don’t think I’d want to put butter on it, but tradition is tradition!!!
Oh no, we don’t want to eat a lamb, which is why the butter shaped like a lamb is perfect!
Easter Lamb Butter – what are you making!! When’s your next Nosework trial? I saw the tractor pics which I loved.
Bailie has an NW1 on April 2, then a L1V on April 3 and I have L2V on the 3rd. The trial is on a farm which is why we are searching odd vehicles with lots of smells in the hope of keeping our concentration up. We are excited and sure hope to bring home some titles.
I love your t-shirt.
Thank you. I like to have the complete set, shirt and product when possible!
We don’t really have any Easter traditions… we might not even eat ham!
Oh my, no ham! That is scary! I know some people don’t do the ham thing. My mom loves ham, so it is a must.
Wow! That looks like a cool butter to try! π You look so cute with that shirt! They should hire you as a model. π
They should as I do look pretty good promoting their butter!
I had to read through comments to determine if it was butter made from sheep milk. LOL I don’t think we have any traditions here. When I was a kid though, my grandmother always had nuts that we got to crack with a nutcracker and ribbon candy on the Holidays. It is a very fond memory.
My mom ribbon candy! It is just normal butter shaped like a lamb. Mom has had it since she was little, so we just assume everyone knows it is real butter…not the case…
That’s a new one on me Emma, and I’m originally from New York!
Upstate New York, Buffalo, Rochester, that is where it is real big.
Boy, I never heard ot that. Sounds interesting! Traditions are nice! Must admit, we don’t have much in the way of Easter traditions – other than eating some chocolate, but I didn’t buy any this year! We’re trying to be good!
We don’t have many traditions for Easter, but the butter is a big one.
That’s a really sweet tradition! I’ll bet it’s really fresh & delicious.
Love & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
The humans love it, and the butter lamb is cute.
Traditions…it’s what truly defines ‘howlidays.’ Hope yours is wonderful. α¦
Thank you. We have some Easter traditions, but not too many. I’m sure it will be a nice day with family.
Always is-we love howlidays just for that reason-the family. <3
Yes we have a butter lamb on Easter, but it is made by Kowalski’s. π
I bet it is similar. I will have to check our Kowalski’s and see what they look like.
MOWZERS! That’s a new one on us too!
You kitties would love it because it is butter!
