Got wind? I got plenty of wind yesterday at the nose work trial on a farm in Iowa. It was in the 30’s with 50mph constant wind. It was freezing not to mention extremely difficult for Bailie’s searches. We love wind when we can race around and play in it, but when we are hanging out or searching, not so much fun!
Iβm joining the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by a big bunch of cats at The Cat On My Head. If you want to give a selfie a try, join in the hop, or see how good or bad other selfies are to help you get the guts to try it yourself! Itβs always loads of fun!
We gots lots of windy days in Kansas… Fun fur chasing leaves, but dat wind gets cold. Wind sure does make it hard to find where smells am coming from.
Me hopes you stops by to see my fun selfie too and to purr for Jolly who just had life saving surgery. purrz from Lulu and Katie Mom.
The wind was really a bad thing for so many reasons, but we have to work with what life gives us.
gotta love that wind blown model look π
We were definitely wind blown through and through.
The wind was rough, but from what your Mom said on Facebook, Bailie did a great job under the circumstances! I bet you’re one very proud big sister!
It was an extreme NW1 trial. Just one of the tough circumstances would have been plenty, but altogether was too much. We are super proud of how hard she worked and so happy she at least got her Vehicle title.
Well at least it was warmer here, but very windy here too. Bailie, we bet you did a great job in spite of the wind.
It was extremely difficult, but she worked through it all very well.
We have been have a lot of wind too,xx Speedy
Wind just makes a mess of everything.
The wind was even on the news!!! It must have been a wild day! Great photo Enma. Your doodle friend Dash
It was amazing. All the tough conditions made it so hard, but Bailie really worked hard and almost got her title, just ran out of steam at the end.
Was that wind howling? You look like your furs got in your eyes…OUCH! XOXO Sparkle
We were sitting in the car most of the day and it was rocking! It was nasty!
the wind can bring a lot of smells what can distract a dog… butt not you or Bailie… you are THE NOSES, no wind can play tricks with your nose-sense :o)
Bailie did really well with the distracting smells. We are super proud of how well she applied herself and worked through all the problems in her searches.
You look pretty cute with your wind-blown look!!!
Thank you.
We went to FB to see how it went….we’re sorry the conditions were so rough, but it sounds like Bailie did quite well, and as well as she could, in spite of that. We’re getting that cold wind today and it’s no fun at all, especially after two beautiful spring days.
We are sad she ran out of gas on the last search, but she got the hard ones most didn’t get. At least she got her vehicle title on Sunday!
Nothing like the natural windblown look. Great selfie.
Thank you. It was a real fur mess!
There’s been a lot of wind everywhere. We love your “windswept” look!
Wind on a farm is always worse as there is nothing to stop it!
That’s a very cool selfie of the wind blowing your fur!
Thank you. I could hardly hold onto my cellphone to take it!
I am not sure what my Mommie meant, but she said that if wanted a “GOT WIND” selfie I’d have to shoot from the other end. She thought it was very funny, but I’m not sure about it…
Bruin
Oh she is not nice! I get it, but I think from your face would be much better.
You sure did well with all that wind, dare say the scent was very hard to find! Now had it been a mouse, and indoors I’m your Princess for the job. That Selfie makes you look so rugged, awesome!
We could find a mouse in the house too, but critters outdoors are more fun for us.
I guess it is windy.
Sometimes it almost blew my mom over!
OMD you have that WINDBLOWN MODEL Look happenin’ there Emma.
We were in a serious wind machine!
Windy conditions would make sniffing hard! It makes a great selfie though. βΊ
The wind and being on the farm…not a good scene!
Whoosh….we bet that wind was not helpful for your searches, but it does make for a very cool selfie!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
You nailed that. It really messed up searching but Bailie worked through it well.
We definitely know how you feel! The wind kind of freaks Zoe out!
We actually love wind and it makes us wild and crazy, but for searching that speed of wind was a nightmare.
Makes for a really nice photo shoot though π So cute!
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
No need for fans in the studio…the look is au natural!
We think that selfie is really cool, Emma. π
Thank you!
We’ve had a lot of wind blowing through here the last few days too. Darn cold fronts π
Let’s just say, we are aired out for a long time now at this point.
Love the wind tossed look-you wear it so well! π
At first I was a bit apprehensive about posting it since it kind of has a Trump “hair comb over” look to it, but nah…it’s me Emma on a farm. No ties to politics, just a wind blown dog.
π
Hahahaha! Trust me, Emma…no one would never think of you in in the same breath as him…you’re far smarter than the orange one with much better hair. π
LOL! I think for sure I’m more likeable!
That’s no contest! <3
oh my!!! Look at that fur blow!! DakotasDen
50 mph winds on the farm will produce this look in a split second.
That’s a whole lot of wind. But your looking great in it.
Those fancy human models always set up fans in a studio for such a look. I prefer to work with nature.
That’s a great windy Selfie, Emma π Pawkisses π <3
Thank you. It sure was windy!
I can sure relate to this picture. I am also so sick of the wind. Seems every day lately is windy.
We dogs love the wind if we can race around and be wild. Mom never likes wind.
What a fab photo
It was quite windy.
I’m surprised that you didn’t go airborne with those big ears of yours! Now you know what it’s like to live in Chicago! Love Dolly
There is a reason Mom decided not to move to Chicago years ago. She dislikes wind very much!
That wind looks strong enough to lift you in the air! Careful Emma!
It was about that strong. People with tiny dogs were holding onto them tightly!
You look so windsxwept an active. What an amaazing picture!
With 50mph winds on a farm, this was the look every dog had!
