Yes, reading is the boredom buster of summer. I tried to argue for wabbit chasing, but reading won out!

I tried to read a book with the mama, but with all that berds and critters around me it was impawsible to read :o)
It’s hard to concentrate if a critter goes by.
I know a great book – Tales of a French Scent Hound. I think it is time for a sequel.
π Thank you.
I like to read but run out of time
It’s nice and relaxing.
I enjoy reading, but usually a book that a biped is reading. And, strangely enough, sticking my nose in the book often results in a walk!
LOL! That is funny.
I find myself wordless about reading. Shame on the mom for not teaching me how to read! XOXO Sparkle
Reading picture books is the best…especially critter picture books.
Wabbit chasing is more exciting, but maybe it’s better done after the weather cools off. Hope you’re reading something fun… maybe about wabbits?
βWags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats
Animal picture books are my favorite books.
We think walks on the beach do the job too π
Definitely, but here when it is too hot to move around, reading is nice and relaxing. We get plenty of movement normally.
Summer can definitely be boring, especially when it’s too hot to move! That looks like a good book!
It’s one of my favorite animal photo books.
It is too hot to do most anything else this summer on the bayou! I wish we could chase wabbits together. β₯
With the weather right now, I can’t even chase a wabbit. I’m marking off the days until winter arrives. Heat is not my thing.
I would agree! Nothing like a good book on a warm day. Misha also tries to read by stepping in between me and my book. Though, I suspect it is a ploy to get a neck massage.
My cats do that. They also try to get between Mom and the keyboard.
A very good PSA

I thought so.
There’s nothing like sitting in the sunshine with a good book!
Or in the shade on a super hot day!
The hubs and I always joke that Rita needs to learn to read so she can pass the time when we have to leave her home alone. π But she agrees with you – she’d rather chase wabbits.
Maybe watching some TV, like Bugs Bunny would be an idea?
Reading is my year round ‘go to’. I love a good book and miss those summers where I waited impatiently for the next Harry Potter book to be released.
And considering the heat wave that’s coming, who could blame anyone for grabbing a book and a shady spot?
Or a nice corner in the house with the a/c on!
I just wonder, when you take these pictures, does Emma stays like this? It’s so funny! These are awesome!! Haha! You always make me smile!!
Thank you. Bailie and I are both really good models and we enjoy taking photos. We will sit there doing whatever the photographer requests.
Well, reading is fundamental I hear!
It’s a very relaxing thing to do.
Well, maybe you read about chasing rabbits, which I know wouldn’t be as much fun as the real thing.
I like to read Dr.Seuss or animal picture books.
We listen to Mama’s audiobooks when she is working around the house, does that count? BOL

Now that is so much easier than actually reading, but it’s hard to see the pictures in an audio book.
Reading over rabbit hunting! π Impossible! How cute do you look, enjoying summer weather!
Oh no, but wabbit hunting is best at dusk and dawn. During the day when it is too hot and the wabbits are hiding I can do my reading.
Our two Tibetan Spaniels love books – mainly to use as pillows or foot rests, Lol. If Mommy’s reading it, so much the better!
Mom had a dog that liked to eat books…we figure she thought it was easier than reading.
