Top Dog Blue Shampoo for Bright White Coats
Since it is my blog, I decided to try out the paraben free, Top Dog Blue Shampoo first. I do have some issues with my white furs getting a bit dingy a couple weeks after a bath. Would this shampoo brighten up my furs? My singing got going before the bath even began, and I was pretty excited until…
Mom started squirting it out onto my furs. Oh my dog! We both gasped! It looked like an ink pen had leaked all over me! Sure the bottle was blue, and the name was blue, but we were not expecting blue shampoo! The only comment Mom had was that I would be a lavender girl if it didn’t wash out. I was a bit shocked, but not amused!
At this point, there was no going back. Mom continued to lather me up, massage in the shampoo, and I turned lavender. The shampoo didn’t lather up much, but we could tell by the color where the shampoo was. Per the instructions, we let it sit in my furs a few minutes before rinsing it out.
Rinsing the Blue Shampoo off portion couldn’t happen soon enough! I could tell, the blue/lavender color was going away, and my pretty white furs were back. It took a long time to rinse all the shampoo out of my furs, but I didn’t mind at all, and the shampoo felt good on my skin. The shampoo has a scent to it, but it isn’t overly strong, and I don’t mind it at all.
All in all, the blue at first was a bit of a hair raising experience, but I like the Top Dog Blue Shampoo and will use it again.
Top Dog Conditioning Shampoo
Bailie’s furs are a lot different from mine. She has thin fur, and it is real wiry. Mom thought the Top Dog Conditioning Shampoo would be good for her coat. Not being a bath fan, Bailie’s usual smile is missing in many photos.
The shampoo worked well on Bailie’s furs. It was a pink color, not nearly as frightening as my blue! Mom massaged it in and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off. There was not a lot of lather, but it seemed to work well to get the dirt off the girl!
We did not try the Top Dog Tea Tree And Neem Shampoo, as we don’t have any skin issues.
Now for the before and after shots! I think my furs are noticeably more white, and my furs are fluffier too. Bailie’s coat is much softer then it usually is which is real nice. We are definitely happy with the shampoos we tried!
I tried the Phytobalm on a sore I had and it seemed to feel good and help the skin heal. Phytobalm is a soothing cream, ideal for minor wounds and skin irritations, for use on any animal. It is not dangerous if you lick it off, either. Being kind of private about personal issues, I wouldn’t allow any photos of my small skin irritation being treated. The Phytobalm would have come in real handy for Katie as she had a lot of skin issues and wounds her last months.

wow you look great with that blue stripes… and how shiny your fur looks after using that shame-poo! I like the phytobalm very much, it’s super great for my furs!
I thought of you when the blue ended up on my furs as it seemed like something that would happen to you, BUTT, it was supposed to be blue.
I’ve had that purple shampoo experience, on a white dog it was super scary. Both you and your sister look bright and squeaky clean. Will bookmark this company based on your review. I always need new shampoo with my crew! Happy Monday Emma!
We were not thinking blue shampoo, so it was a shock, but it worked really well, and we are pleased with the results of both shampoos we tried.
Bailie’s eyes got so very big, and she did lose her smile! You both look beautiful. I am going to the spa today to get my furs washed and trimmed, and i will get a mani-pedi. XOXO Sparkle
Mom says she needs to make me a spa appt. for the end of the month. It’s time for getting my ears pulled, nails done, and everything else. Bailie loves water, but not in a bath tub! Enjoy the spa.
I’d like to try that Phytobalm on Shadow’s calluses on her ankles.
I’m glad the blue/lavender rinsed out and that you have bright-white furs again! And that Bailie’s furs softened! You girls look great!
It was a shock initially, but it all worked out great, and my white was gleaming!
Those like like great products. A good conditioning shampoo is what I like for Torrey and her thick fur.
It really softened up Bailie’s normally wire furs, and she smelled clean too!
We hear they have some good stuff

They have tons of stuff. You could even get supplies for your horse, or get a horse so you could use the horse products 😉
We do use all natural shampoos and conditioners. I have been looking for a good whitening shampoo for Pierre. Thanks for the review!
Just remember he will go from dingy white, to blue, to lavender, to sparkling white all in a matter of minutes. Don’t be shocked like we were 😉 Have those sunglasses ready!
wee have never heard of the that brand – thanks for sharing 🙂
It is new to us too, but they have lots of helpful products, especially for animals with allergies, and skin issues.
Both of you girls look great, so we think the shampoo must be a good product. We try to use only all natural products so we would definitely try these. Cricket had a sore spot on her leg recently and I really could have used that Phytobalm. I like to use coconut oil as a natural balm for skin issues but both Luke and Cricket like it too much and they’d lick it off as soon as I put it on!
Coconut tastes so good, no wonder they lick it right off. You should give Hilton Herbs products a try.
You girls are always stunning, but even more so post-baths. Such a relief that your blue shampoo washed out, Emma. You are far too young to be a blue-haired old lady. 😉 Mommy’s always looking for natural products to use. Thanks for the tips!
The thought of me being a lavender dog was a bit frightening, but thankfully, it all worked out.
I could do without the water but you sure turned out nicely!!!
Kitties are not usually fond of water and baths. I know cat bro Bert had a bath a while back and it was a huge mess!
That looks like some good stuff!
Smileys!!

They are real good shampoos, and the Phytobalm is perfect to have on hand for injuries or skin issues.
What a great review, congrats on 25 years for that company.
We had not heard of them, but they have been big in the UK for a long time.
Great products! I hope they venture into dogwear too. 🙂 And it should be all natural too.
That is a great idea!
This makes me want a white dog so I can turn it lavender. 🙂
Oh man! What is wrong with you! We were terrified thinking I might be lavender!
