A whopping 22 dogs and cats are going for gold today in the 2016 Pawlympics Wabbit Tracking Event. My sister Bailie, who has a Tracking Dog Title will be judging the competition. She is well qualified and ready to see some good tracking today! If you click on the participants names below their tracking photos, you will be sent off to their websites if you would like to “track them down” and if they have a blog.
In the sport of tracking, you either get a medal or you don’t so so everyone who tracked the wabbit gets a Gold Medal. Please feel free to take the medal as you leave today! Congratulations to all 22 participants and now Gold Medal Wabbit Trackers!
The event will start off with me as I’m in serious tracking training at the moment. I’m in my USA uniform (even though I still have my UK Passport) and am off to get that wabbit!
Walter was the first to track after me.ย Poor fellow couldย hardly hold still at the start flag he was so ready to get the wabbit!
Noodle really has his nose to the ground at the start. We were afraid he may have frozen right then and there.
Zaphod picked up some drifting odor on the tree…or maybe he was distracted by a tree rat?
Pierre noticed a wabbit had recently passed through the green stuff.
Mini appears to have a serious case of wabbit on the brain TV going on.
Dash and Lilly are having an issue with the hot and humid weather conditions, but they worked through it.
Cricket may be hot, hot, hot on the track of the wabbit, but is cool as a cucumber…maybe too cool as the ground turned to snow!
Speaking of snow, it looks like Frankie is ready for some Blue Bunny ice cream!
Oreo and Addi are using the team tracking approach to round up that wily wabbit.
As competitors finish their tracks, the wabbits really started to pile up! Luckily Sparkle took on the duties of the wabbit wrangler!
Check out the expression on Christmas‘ face! This is one serious tracking dog!
Wowzers! It looks like the wabbit is playing tricky hide and seek games with Molly and the wood pile!
Poor Dory! Her mom was keeping her on a short leash. Give her more leash so she can get that wabbit please!
Hailey was also experiencing poor leash handling on her track. Humans need to learn to give a dog some space to work!
The event went to the cats for a moment. Madi has such patience. Cats have great luck with the wabbits getting real close!
Looks like Easy got the wabbit. That wabbit is in for some torture. Enjoy life while it lasts wabbit!
Bentley is in a real bind with that aluminum wall and sunshine doing weird things to the scent trail. Work through it buddy!
Sam is picking up on a wabbit nest in that bush. Way to sniff it out!
Ernie also started wrangling wabbits at the finish. So many wabbits, so little time!
There was a chill in the track as Miss Abby T. Lab was sidetracked into some nose work behavior with the vehicle. The judge was able to getย her back on the wabbit track and off the tire track pretty quickly.
Barbarella was having a blast singing along the track in pursuit of the wabbit.
Some rude dude got in the way on Katy’s track, but she managed to move through and finish up her track!
Thank you again to all the wonderful participants in our Going for Gold Wabbit Tracking Event today. We hope you all had a fun time running your tracks!
This concludes the Wabbit Tracking Event for the 2016 Pawlympics! Make sure and stay up to date on all the daily events with the blog hop below!
OK, don’t tell my bunny sister Lulu that I am over here watching this event. She might get mad at me and bop me in the head (she’s tougher than she looks). You are ALL expert trackers in my book.
Wabbit tracking is never to be taken lightly. I don’t think we could have a bunny sister, but I know my mom loves wabbits. She had wabbits as a kid.
Those wabbits better look out, Blogville is on to them!
If they are smart, they hit the road during the Pawlympics!
oh what a fabulous event!!! I like Madi’s trick to let the wabbit track the carrots ! very clever, I will write that idea into my bad idea ctalaog :o) Thanks for a super funny compawtition!
Baiting a wabbit is a novel idea. I never have carrots on me for that, but evidently cats do!
that was a pawsome event – well done to all those whose noses led them on a merry chase ๐
Lots of fun going on, well for the dogs and cats! I didn’t see any wabbits entering the event…how odd.
That was so much fun! FYI…Some Bunny thinks you are beautiful. (It’s me) XXOO Bentley
Wabbit tracking is always a blast! Glad you boys had fun too and we all have medals now! You are looking quite handsome there when you concentrate, Bentley.
That was fun. Katie was tracking a skunk last night , not so much fun.
Uh oh. We have never seen one alive. We get to smell them and see them flat on the roads in the fall. Mom says we aren’t allowed to mess with them.
Hee Hee, those are all great. I completely forgot about this…dang.
It’s not like you have anything going on in life, LOL! It is a fun Blogville event. Something different to do.
Thanks for hosting what a great event.
Thank you. Hope you had fun!
Bailie,
Oh my Gold Medals this senior kitty I am sure it must be illegal to HAVE THIS MUCH FUN!!
I cannot tell you how many days I have watched that wabbit from my window just itching to give chase.
WooHoo thank you for hosting this wonderful event.
Hugs Madi your bfff

What fun! I loved seeing all my competitors in the Bunny Pawlympics. It’s all about ME though, and I liked being the ‘Official Wrangler of the Wabbits!’ Okay, we are all winners (the mom made me say that.) XOXO Sparkle
Everyone gets a Gold Medal! You did an awesome job with handling those wily wabbits, and your bandana was perfect as well!
Ha!!! These were FABULOUS!! Love seeing so many pawticipants!! Condogulations to all!!!!!
Obviously, wabbit tracking is a sport dogs really love, and even a cat!
What a pawsome time! Great judging Bailie!
It was hard for her not to track, but she enjoyed watching all the others too.
What a great event! Blogville is full of outstanding wabbit trackers!
The wabbits don’t have a chance in Blogville today! Those trackers were all really on task!
What fun!!! And we are thrilled to be on your blog today. We feel kind of famous!!! Thanks, your doodle friends Dash and Lilly
Thanks so much for participating in this fun event. Everyone sure had a good time and you even got Gold!
What a great event. I really felt the pressure being the first out of the gate. Thanks for hosting such a fun event.
Walter
You had a hard time holding back, but when you were off you really tracked that wabbit!
What fun! So many competitors – how in the Wabbit will you ever choose the winner!
Everyone who tracked gets a gold. In tracking it’s all about finishing your own track. Everyone can win!
Very impressive.
Everyone did a fantastic job
Why I don’t care about tracking bunnies ~ what I care about is if they leave me those itsy bitsy raisins they make. I just think they are delicious.
Sweet William The Scot
Oh the wabbit candy is the best, but we always get in trouble for eating it.
What a great group of competitors, and even some cats in there too! We’d say this was a very successful event, and Cricket was pleased to be able to be in it and get her gold!
Cricket was great! It was a super fun event and I think everyone had a good time.
Now that is what you call a real Bunny Hop!
We were all hopping for those wabbits.
Mini: I definitely had a fun time running my track! I just love to track wabbits!

Thank you! We think everyone had a fun time, but then again, tracking wabbits is a pastime most of us love!
All the wabbit trackers did a terrific job. Way to go effurry-one; I know of one poodle tracker who had a great time-thanks for letting us paw-ticipate. ?
I know of one awesome poodle tracker too. Thank you for joining in the fun.
Looks like everyone had a good time tracking those “wascally wabbits”!!
Wabbits are definitely wascally! It was a lot of fun with lots of super nosed participants.
Amanda: Haha! All the captions are very funny! Love them ๐ Great job tracking everyone!
Barbarella: I definitely had a blast tracking that wabbit! Thank you for hosting a Wabbit Tracking event, my sister and I love tracking wabbits ๐
Looks like everyone had a great time and did a terrific job tracking the wabbits.
It was a lot of fun, and such a great turnout!
Oh my gosh so many great rabbit sniffers! Beautiful fun job guys!
Blogville has amazing trackers!
We had a great time watching your event. There sure are a lot of great talented trackers in the pet blogging community! Wow! We put a link in our doggie blog to your event. Your friend, Chester L. W. Spaniel at The Daily Bone
ps. I caught five bunnies in my yard so far this year! Oh, and one birdie too! But ghostwriter told me not to brag.
Thank you so much! The wabbit tracking seems to be popular event with the pets of Blogville, but no wabbits entered! Good job catching wabbits. I enjoy capturing them myself here in our own yard.
Everyone is SO good at tracking! Sorry that I got distracted by the delicious bird seed ๐
Everyone has a distraction battle of some sort. It doesn’t matter, you did a great job!
Oh wow, this looked like a lot of fun! Those are some adorable trackers! We are a little sore at mom since we totally missed this, she thinks she’s on vacation or something! BOL!
Vacation? During the summer? What is wrong with her? I think everyone did have a real fun time!
Wow, wabbit tracking really drew in the entries. Great job to all participants and judges!
You know wabbit tracking is top of the list for most dogs, and even some kitties!
I put my money on the Dachshund, or the cats, to take gold. Love Dolly
In tracking, everyone who ran their track got a medal. It was lots of fun.
I like Frankie’s wabbit tracking strategy. Blue Bunny is the best! Excellent competition and, like you said, everyone’s a winner . . . and the judge is pretty special, too!
It was a real fun event all around!
