Imitation is the highest form of flattery, they say. Mom told me to keep that saying in mind when Bailie dressed up at Gramma’s house the other day. She said she wanted to show the world she could be a fancy lady dog just like me.
You may remember my photo back in March where I was all spiffed up. I think I look muchΒ better than Bailie does, but she does clean up well. What do you think? Who is the real lady in our family?
Today, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
I think you both are looking mighty fine!!! I love how Bailie is dress in purple! π
She is our purple girl for sure! Perfect for Troop 1999!
I think you both look fabulous and wear hats very well! I would venture to say that you both may be the most fashionable pups I know!
Thank you. Bailie doesn’t dress up as often, but maybe when she is older she will do it more.
I think you both look great! But I don’ think that Bailie could act like a lady for more than a couple of minutes!
No, she was back running around with her toys a minute later.
You both look terrific! Ready for a day of tea and crumpets! Your doodle friend Dash
Maybe I will trade that for a bowl of water and dog biscuits π
a pair of elegant old gals for sure π
Oh boy. Bailie will wonder about the old part being just three! She usually acts more like a year!
Proper ladies for sure. You must be on the way for tea.
No tea for us, just a bowl of water and dog biscuits.
oh you both are fabulous ladies… the spirit of french dames is inside of you and you look super beautiful… what’s on your paw-genda? garden pawty at dogton abbey or tea with HRM?
I think we will try to get together with the Queen for a little chat. She will hopefully leave her Corgis somewhere else.
You win, paws down π But you’re a wonderful teacher…she looks lovely!
Thank you. She is still young and will most likely improve with age.
You both look Mahhhvelous!
Feeling fancy here!
You know you’ve stole my heart years ago Emma, but I would have to say “move over” there’s two sophisticated” ladies in the house now!
Bailie is learning from the best, but she was back to her childish ways pretty fast π
I think you both are simply love er ly – you know, like that song from My Fair Lady. I also think you both are very, very lucky to have a mom and grandma that like to play dress!
Mom used to dress up her stuffed animals, not it is us real animals, but we don’t mind.
Emma and Bailie….it would be very hard to make a choice. Both of you have selected the purrfect color ensemble and you are both wearing beads..(everybuddy knows beads make the outfit). However, Emma…..I must say the handbag adds pop to your photo!!
Hugs madi your bfff
Why thank you! I do think I have a slightly better look, but I’ve been perfecting my fashion for a lot longer than Bailie has.
You look smashing!
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
Thank you.
Let me just say that Pierre is drooling over Bailie’s photo! In my personal Basset opinion, you are the most beautiful creature that ever walked on four legs Just sayin’…XXOO Bentley
Oh my goodness! Drool everywhere…please not on my sweater π We like to look fancy sometimes.
BOL….looks like she’s all ready for a night on the town! π
We are both ready for a fine time.
You honestly had me at purple cardigan sweater! Those pearl are also precious – you DO look like a fine lady. I need to borrow that outfit! These pics are awesome!!
You probably could, as we borrowed our sweaters from our mom π
Adorable, adorable, adorable!
Thank you, kitties.
I think you BOTH did an incredibly pawesome job!!
Bailie is really falling into position now that she is growing up a bit, but she still has a ton of puppy left in her.
I think we know you are the real lady, Emma, Bailie might not be ready for that yet. She did pull it off pretty well though! π
Bailie can do it, but it doesn’t last long and she is back to her usual nonsense.
I think there might be room for two ladies in your house….BUT Dory really thinks you outdid Bailey with the use of the very fashionable purse!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Thank you, Dory. You do know fashion as well as I do.
I remain increasingly convinced that you could bring these two into the fanciest party at the Kentucky Derby and no one would notice they didn’t belong.
As long as we can keep ourselves from sniffing the horse poo, we would fit right in!
Emma, you are the REAL lady, but Purple Girl, cleans up pretty good too! Sorry I am so late…our router needed to be replaced. XOXO Sparkle
No need to apologize. There are no rules about viewing or commenting π Bailie is trying hard to catch on to the role she has on the blog.
Oh, tough call who wore it better. You both look like lovely ladies to me! Cute cute!
As in pretty much everything, we are real similar, yet different.
I have to give it a tie!! Looks like they both are ready to go to a high tea!! LOVE the way they both look!!
Thank you. I am waiting for a call from the Queen, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Smashing lovely – both of you! You have class, she has sauciness -purple girl rises to new heights!
She is growing up…slowly…but it is happening.
Bailie is adorable but you have that je ne sais quoi, Emma!
Thank you, Mr. N. I think it is my British background that adds a refined touch to me.
Your both beautiful ladies!
Thank you.
Both you guys rock all sides of the color wheel!
Fashion hounds I guess. Bailie is catching on.
3 bum swings! 3 more!
You are both pawfect lovely ladies.
Nose nudges,
CEO Olivia
Thank you. Bailie is learning how to be a lady, at least for a few minutes.
