Looks like there is a new Pupscout in town, and her name is Bailie! As you know, Bailie is our PR Dog here at My GBGV Life because she is such a social butterfly! As soon as she heard there was a Pupscout troop here in Minnesota, she just had to join!
After all her begging, I finally agreed to pay her Pupscout fee so she could join the new Minnesota Troop 1999, named after none other than, Prince who was from here. I find the whole idea a bit embarrassing, so I made her promise not to sell dog treats door to door in our neighborhood! Her official badge is pretty cool and will attach to her collar nicely for any events she attends.
Pupscouts can earn all kinds of fun badges either by participating in troop events, or by doing the required tasks on their own. Bailie already earned her first two badges – Ice Cream Social, and Summer Heat Safety.
When you sign up you get a welcome kit which includes you very own messenger bag with the Pupscout logo, your ID badge, stickers, and your own personalized stationary!
What exactly does Pupscouts do? It is based on Girl and Boy Scouts, but for dogs. It’s about dogs learning, maybe making a difference, and bonding with your human and other dogs and dog lovers. Bailie can get a badge for referring new members to Pupscouts, so if you decide to join, make sure and tell Pupscouts Bailie from My GBGV Life sent you! If you are in Minnesota and would like more information on joining Troop 1999, stop by Spencer’s post for more detailed information. You can also join a troop if you live elsewhere. More information is available on the Pupscout website.
oh congrats Bailie…. that is so great! and I love that it is named after Prince ( it still sounds unreal somehow that had to go) I totally love your pupscout equipment ….you could write tickets with the brand new stationary kit… pupscouts are always prepared, right?
Bailie thinks she is always prepared. I guess we will find out in further Pupscout activities.
Looking forward to hearing about your pupscout adventures. Keep us posted.
She is excited to earn some more badges.
What fun! Emma, will you be going along on Bailie’s pupscout adventures?
No, I don’t want to be a Pupscout. Mom says I’m too much of a diva. I’m not big on social functions that involve dogs. I prefer human events. Bailie likes any event.
I wish I could get Torrey into something like this. The only troop I have found though was in Lake Havasu Arizona. I bet she has so much fun!
It will be a fun thing for her to do to get out and socialize and earn some badges, try new things.
I had never heard of Pupscouts. Baillie will be a perfect member. Especially loved her eyes in that last picture! XOXO, Sparkle
You never know, there could be a troop near you! We hope Bailie gets to do lots of fun stuff.
And a very cute Pupscout!!! Good decision Emma–you and I have to keep track of our little sisters, don’t we. your doodle friend Dash
We sure do, and it isn’t always an easy task!
I’m sure you will have a grand time at PupScouts sweet Bailie, congrats!
She will love it hanging out with friends, doing fun stuff.
well that looks like fun – we are off to check it out π
It’s for boys and girls, should be loads of fun.
Congrats Bailie! This looks so fun and I love your badge. I might see if there’s a pupscouts near us for Ruby.
Definitely a fun thing to do and a great way to hang out with some new friends if you are in a real troop.
That Bailie is such a social butterfly, this sounds perfect for her! We’ve never heard of this before, what a fun idea. Have fun, Bailie, can’t wait to see all the other badges you get!
We had heard of it, but until now we didn’t have a troop in our area.
Wow….Arty made Mama go to the Pupscout page and now HE wants to be a Pupscout!! We are sure Bailie will make you proud!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
He should join up! He could get the more masculine blue bag!
I’m so excited for you, Bailie! Mom wants me to be a Pup Scout when we get settled in our new place. β₯ We will have to check into it too. β₯
That would be fun. I am not real interested, as I’m not into socializing much with dogs like Bailie is. I bet you would love it!
Earning badges is pretty darn cool!
It reminds my mom of her Campfire Girl days.
hey that’s pretty COOL!
Bailie thinks it is pretty cool for sure! We will see how it goes with her.
Congrats on becoming a Pupscout Bailie! It sounds like a lot of fun I sure would like to do it some day! Love Dolly
I think Bailie will really enjoy it being the social butterfly she is.
That sounds like fun.
