Last week I got to go fall shopping with my mom at dog friendly, Pahl’s Market. We have gone every year together for the past few years and it sure is fun!
Pahl’s Market has pumpkin patches all over the place in our area, so it is no wonder they have so many pumpkins at their market! How is a dog supposed to choose?
They are not only dog friendly, they allow kids as well. Actually, they set up a lot of fun stuff for kids to do like a corn bin, hay bale maze, and more. I was a bit worried when I saw all the hay, but then I realized there would be no rats, maybe just some brats, and I was fine again.
They have several nice displays around the greenhouses. I couldn’t find the super cool one I saw last year, but I did find this pretty one.
If you are afraid of spiders and their webs, stay away from this display. The electrical cords were supposed to make up a tangled web for kids to play around in.
Fairy towns are in style these days. There was a display of miniature stuff with fairies on a table. I liked the hobbit like house behind me. It was real pretty too with all the landscaping they did in the village.
Not to be corny, but Indian corn is a big decorating item in the Midwest. I would guess mice really want to move into the greenhouse to get all the corn! I didn’t see any trace of mice in the area when we were there.
Fall shopping at Pahl’s Market is always fun, and this year was no exception. Thankfully, I look pretty good with orange as there was plenty of it around!
If you are a Facebook friend of mine, you may have seen my post about how to decorate my front porch. I couldn’t decide between pumpkins and mums. As you can see in my photo, I did go with what everyone told me to do – I got both. The question I do have is, why are there three pumpkins since we are only two dogs this year? I think the coupon was buy two get one free, but we really only need two. I guess cat bro Bert can have one. Oh well, no cash out of my wallet!
Your porch looks lovely, Emma! You did a great job picking out just the right things, and that looked like a fun outing. We imagine your Mom might have been thinking of Katie and decided to get her a pumpkin this year in her memory.
We do miss her all the time. It feels like we are forgetting something.
You have a pumpkin for Katie. She will always be with you.
She’s probably smiling big because she doesn’t have to wear a silly hat this year for Halloween.
As always you are the most beautiful object in every lovely picture. We survived our storm with no damage to our home. We did have lots of yard trash, and only lost power for 5 minutes. All is good! XOXO, Sparkle
We are so glad you are safe and nothing really bad happened in your area.
I love this place… I would like to be there with the mama so she can make her wildest decoration dreams true… we have christmas stuff everywhere, but can you imagine that we have not only one pumpkin in our stores? something is wrong this year…
Christmas now is sad, it is way too early! Thankfully we have pumpkins everywhere we look around here.
You always take the best shots there!
It’s a real fun place to go. This year some of our favorite displays weren’t out, but it was still fun.
You made a great choice in front porch decorations, Emma!! We think both the mums and the pumpkins look mah-velous!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Thank you. I like them too.
That is a super cool place and you look quite festive with the pumpkins!
I think orange is a good color to have around myself.
What a fun place to shop! And what a pretty porch! I am afraid of pumpkins, so Mom only put mums outside. Hopefully, the guy across the hall won’t carve a pumpkin this year. I’m pretty sure pumpkins are trying to kill me.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
No pumpkin fears here. Bailie eats the stems off of them, so we have to keep them out of her reach.
I love these photos! Y’all look so beautiful posing with the fall colors! β₯
Mom says my color palate is fall. She might be right.
What a great place for stunning fall photos! Your porch turned out beautiful too! I think it is nice to have an extra pumpkin in memory of Katie. I know she is missed!
We miss her every day all the time, but we also have great memories.
Orange is definitely YOUR color. You’re way ahead of me. I’m finding that lately spider webs are the extent of my decorations this year since I haven’t had time for proper cleaning. π ?
We have a lot of those too. Mom hasn’t cleaned them up because they are so sticky.
Love your pumpkin adventures, pretty display and yes Bert needs a pumpkin. I bet he eats it.
Bert and Bailie both like to chew on the stem.
I just love going to all the garden shops this time of the year and I’m fascinated by fairy gardens! Some of the things people do with those is too cute!
There are a few within a couple miles of my house that we often walk by…I mean ones in people’s yards.
Looks like a really fun time Emma, the mums are huge mom can never find any that big! Love Dolly
We really wanted some smaller ones, but could only find XXL around here!
Great! This place is really nice to take photos and you looks gorgeous in those pics. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. We love to go there a few times a year to shop and do photos.
That looks like a fun pace to sniff out some pumpkins. I took hubby to a cider mill last weekend (we got no cider and not donuts though). We bought apples and a pumpkin, but they did not allow dogs at all.
My mom would take the donuts over cider any day! Surprisingly, a lot of those places are dog friendly around here.
Bert DOES deserve his own pumpkin!! But he could be the pumpkin’s godkittie and take care of it in honor of Katie. That would be very thoughtful.
Knowing Bert, he would eat the stem off a pumpkin. He is just that naughty cat who can’t help himself.
Autumn is the prettiest season of them all. #Ithink
It’s hard to say as each season has its own beauty.
