Happy Halloween 2016 from my sisters and me! It is Madison’s first Halloween, which is why the post is mostly about her. Bailie and Madison got to carry on their own nonsense in the backyard!
Madison found my book about the Great Pumpkin and really wanted to read it to learn how the story goes since I talk about it a lot this time of year.
She opened the book and wanted to start reading but realized she doesn’t know how to read yet. Little sis couldn’t even wear a costume because all of ours are too big, and our headbands are about twice the size she needs. Madison decided to simply chew on the book instead.
I guess the book chewing wasn’t producing the results Madison had hoped for as she started to get a bit angry and frustrated with the whole thing.
Lucky for Madison, Bailie loves to be a big sister and she volunteered to read the book to Madison. As she pawed the pumpkin in the grass, she asked Bailie if it was the Great Pumpkin.
Bailie told Madison, the Great Pumpkin was much, much bigger than the one in the yard. Unable to comprehend such a large pumpkin, Madison did what every teething girl would do. She decided to chew on the stem while Bailie read the story to her.
Chewing up the pumpkin is not a good idea, so Bailie asked Madison to stop chewing the stem. Bailie actually enjoyed chewing pumpkin stems too as a pup. The two of them took a moment to pose for a Halloween 2016 photo.
After the photo, Bailie went back to reading the story, and Madison to chewing the pumpkin stem. It is rather humorous that Bailie attempts to be so mature, as these days she behaves more like a puppy herself. That is alright, the two of them sure have a lot of fun together! Happy Halloween 2016 from all three of us!
One last crazy thing from my sister Bailie. Our friend Easy is having a before and after challenge today. He wanted us to post our bed head hair, and then normal hair. Madison doesn’t have enough hair for the challenge yet, I refuse to have a bed head photo posted, but Bailie was happy to participate. Her furs are always a mess, and she could care less, so below are her before and after shots!
Love the beautiful Halloween picture!
Thank you.
What a great way to celebrate. Happy Halloween all!
Just a little mellow fun with the family.
Bailie is such a great big sister. Those two are going to be quite the pair for years to come.
Mom wanted Bailie to have a friend/sister like I had with Katie and it looks like Madison is a good candidate.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Howloween to you and your pups!
HAPPY HOWLOWEEN! I watched the Great Pumpkin on TV last week. Bailie, you are such a pawsome BIG sister. XOXO, Sparkle
My mom loves to watch anything Peanuts. Madison seems to be Bailie’s responsibility, and they get along fabulously.
Happy Halloween. Emma- I hope you don’t feel left out of all the puppy play. You are being so mature.
I find it rather nice to have both of them out of my furs. I can hang out with Mom and I’m good.
hahaha Bailie you look like my momma in the before photo, just much cuter :o) Happy Howl-o-ween to you all specially to your little sis… I chewed on my pumpkin too… the mama said I never grow up LOL
Mom says I grew up too much and somehow got to be a bit crabby, but Bailie is going in reverse right now. She and Madison are two wild girls around here. Happy Howloween!
Looks like a theme here with Madison and chewing!! And we love Bailie’s before and after photo! Lilly is just like Bailie in that department. Have a great Halloween! your doodle friend Dash
That little pumpkin is too stinking cute! And she has the best mentors a pup could ask for.
Thank you. Honestly, she is an awesome puppy. She sleeps 8 hours at night at 10 weeks, naps a lot and is super smart. We are lucky to have her.
You guys earned your stripes last time around! Nice to have a more mellow puppyhood this time.
This is fabulous Emma!! Just love every single picture! Even your little Madison is SO much better at posing than my two! Happy Halloween!
She is super smart and has learned to hold still for a few seconds and then she can race around again.
Happy Halloween
Lily & Edward
Happy Howloween!
It is so wonderful to see sweet Madison learning so much. Happy Halloween everyone!!!
She is a good sleeper, I think because she is so busy learning all the time.
What a great big sister! Madison is adorable and clearly teething! LOL!!!
She is teething, but is good about limiting the chewing usually to bones and things.
Bailie has really taken on the role of big sister quite well, hasn’t she? It’s so cute the way Madison looks up to her!
HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN!! from all of us to all of you!
Those two have so much fun together. They are a perfect pair.
you two are so cute π
Thanks. My sisters make a good set of crazy hounds.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Howloween!
Absolutely ADORABLE!! Happy Halloween!!
Bailie and Madison make a great Halloween team. You 3 are such characters! Your pictures are perfection – including the Before and After Challenge.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Thank you. We all love working on the blog.
I love your hat! Happy 1st Halloween, Madison. β₯ She and Bailie look thicker than theives!
Mom has to separate the two of them because they get so wild and out of hand, but they have fun!
Bailie is really taking to the big sster thing, isn’t she?! She looks very mature with her glasses on!
ο»ΏHappy Halloween Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
She is crazy about Madison and just adores her.
Happy HOwL-O-wean” Wean that girl off pumpkin stems! antlers would be more helpful to chew on. Thank you for sharing your firsts with us!
I think we all have enjoyed pumpkin stems as little ones. She has plenty of other chews, but the stems are something different to try out.
Happy Halloween to all of you and enjoy your pumpkin stem Madison π
She is really into it, but Bailie was too as a youngster.
So sweet of Bailie to read to Madison! She must be growing up now that there is a puppy around!
Madison sure is lucky to have such great role models as you two!
Actually, Bailie has regressed to being a puppy, and returned to being naughty, but the two of them have so much fun we don’t mind.
Boy that Madison has some teething to do! Hope you had a happy Halloween, sorry we are so behind. Love Dolly
I still don’t get your posts, and they are not in spam, so we try to remember to stop by to check if you have a new post or not.
I see Madison is learning her new chompers can chomp things. Such cute photos.
She still has super sharp baby chompers, but I suspect the new ones will arrive in the near future.
It looks like Bailie did a great job teaching Madison about Halloween! Such cute pictures. The first year Bar and I carved a pumpkin, we were driving it home from the friend’s house where we carved it and by the time we got home, half of the lid had been eaten!
LOL! I could totally see that happening!
That Madison is one tiny ball of cuteness. She always has the funniest expressions. Christmas at your house should be a real hoot Emma!
I think the decorations will be kept to a minimum and we will say our prayers that the tree remains standing!
