The meals on the menu!
Lucky Dog Cuisine has seven healthy homemade meals for your dog. Variety is the spice of life, and there is a nice variety of recipes. Each meal on the menu is a bit different, and with seven to choose from, at least one is bound to be right for your dog! If your dog has a sensitive stomach, Turkey ‘N Rice may be the right fit, for a picky eater, the meal of choice may be Pooch Pasta. Two of the seven menu options are grain free if your dog must have grain free meals.
Why are these meals so healthy?
Dr. Janice Elenbaas knows about nutrition and has partnered with others who know nutrition to make the best dog food possible! Did you know: in the last forty years, the average canine life span has been shortened by about 18%, one in four dogs will die of cancer, a fifty pound dog eats about eighteen pounds of preservatives a year! Lucky Dog Cuisine is all natural! The homemade meals for your dog contain only non GMO, USA made, hormone free ingredients and they use only human grade ingredients, butcher quality meats and real dairy! Everything your dog needs is included in each meal, which means there is no need for additional supplements or nutrients.
How do you serve these meals?
The homemade meals for your dog will arrive frozen in fairly flat, one pound packages. Being flat and rectangular in size, they are super easy to store in your own freezer!
To serve, they need to be defrosted and if possible, slightly warmed. We found it easiest to take a package out the day before and let it defrost slowly in the refrigerator. Mom then opened it up and warmed it on the stove in a pan for a few minutes. The warming of the meal, helps bring out the flavor and aroma in the food.
Do we like the homemade meals?
There is really no question here, we are nuts for all seven recipes! We were fortunate to receive all seven to try, and they are all delicious. You can see in my photos, I not only eat the meal, I lick the bowl completely clean, lick my chops, and smile when there is nothing left to eat or lick! We started by mixing the Lucky Dog Cuisine with some of our kibble to make sure it didn’t upset our systems, but we had no issues whatsoever.
I had my photographer put together a short video to take you from the frozen meal to the naughty Bailie dog who is so crazy for the food, she counter surfs! We began our trial before Madison arrived which is why she isn’t in the video. It is advised to start with a more bland recipe for puppies under four months of age, such as Turkey N’ Rice, and then ease them into the other menu items.

Lucky Dog Cuisine cooks their food in small batches, and ships out orders on Mondays. All the food being shipped is made fresh the week before. Because they want to maintain the fresh recipes, and high quality standards, Lucky Dog Cuisine is not available at local stores or online stores.
