Real salmon treats are pretty hard to find unless you go out fishing for salmon yourself. I have to admit, fishing in the ice cold waters of Norway for good salmon is not high on my list of activities. Lucky for me, I found another way to get real salmon treats that are 99% real salmon from the waters of Norway!
My GBGV Life received two packages of Pet Botanics Salmon Treats to review. My GBGV Life did not receive any monetary compensation for this review, and receives no additional benefits for barking about the product or the company. The opinions in this review are the honest opinions of My GBGV Life.
I happen to love salmon, but we are always careful about where my treats come from. Pet Botanics gets the salmon from the ice cold waters off Norway, and ships it to the USA for smoking and packaging. I bundled up for this review as I could feel that frigid air coming off the packages!
The Simply Salmon Cutlets were my choice to try first. Simple Salmon Cutlets are loaded with omega fatty acids for beautiful skin and coat!
Have a look at the nice pieces of salmon being dumped out of the bag! The pieces average about 1/4 inch thick, 1 inch wide, 2 inches long. I say they are just right for a small snack!
Finally I got a chance to sample these delicious treats! I absolutely love them. Mom says they are fishy smelling, but I don’t mind that part at all. They are not greasy, and can be snapped into smaller pieces if you have one of “those” types of humans.
Next up I wanted to sample the Simply Salmon Strips. These treats are a bit larger, but have the same amazing flavor!
Did you know these real salmon treats have just two ingredients? They are 99% salmon, and 1% sea salt which is used in the hardwood smoking process used to make them. The strips are thinner, and longer but can also be snapped into smaller portions.
Time for me to give them a try too, and they are super yummy! Did you know hardwood smoking is more expensive and takes longer than the usual addition of liquid smoke which leaves the delicious taste and the aroma of the salmon? We dogs love the taste and aroma!
My honest opinion of the real salmon treats is to be seen in the above photo! I love these treats, and I’m glad my mom lets me have them since she is such an anti fish human.
The official verdict is that My GBGV Life definitely recommends the Pet Botanics Simply Salmon Cutlets and Strips! Hint…they would make excellent stocking stuffers…and you don’t have to go to Norway to freeze your furs off to catch the salmon yourself!

You looks adorable in your coat!!
Thank you. It is especially fashionable with the fake fur hat!
Nice! I bet any dog would love those. Love your fluffy coat. Can Roxy borrow it until we go to Arizona?
It might be a bit big, but she could really get wrapped in!
is that really your coat or did you borrow it (and adjust it) to look stunning on you? Those treats look delish! Today is MY Birthday – I am THREE years old! The mom wonders why the years go by so fast. XOXO, Sparkle
Welcome back to Bailie’s club of three year olds! Have a wonderful day full of fun and mischief! The coat is my mom’s coat, but we wear the same size.
You are hilarious
Lily & Edward
No joke, the treats are super yummy!
I’ve actually been ice fishing in minnesota and can confirm that this seems a much easier way to get salmon.
Ice fishing is an odd sport…more about drinking beer I think, but some of those fish houses are pretty decked out with the latest in tech stuff too.
You do look a bit frosty with the yummy stuff!
It’s that cold Norwegian waters feeling.
Nice coat! I didn’t enter cos I’m a cat but wonder if cats could have them too. I love salmon after all.
My cat bro Bert love it, but then again, he loves anything he can get into his mouth. For kitties, you would need to break them up a lot smaller.
We are always looking for new treats and these sound great! Thanks for the opportunity!!! DakotasDen
These are super yummy. Our only issue is they didn’t last long enough with the three of us loving them so much!
Yummy! We love salmon even if it gives us fishy breath. BOL!
There’s nothing fishy about that reasoning!
Wow, the crew would be really excited to find these in their stockings – they LOVE fish! It’s definitely something I’d feel good about giving them too.
We love fish too and it is really good stuff, but it seems to be gone in no time flat.
We bet these are totally nommy…and you look very stylish reviewing them!!

They are super yummy!
Those treats would be much better than fishing in the cold. Great review.
Cold wet paws are no good.
Those are some tasty looking treats and definitely easier than fishing for them outside. Brrr.
I just can’t see fishing long enough to catch a fish, so I will just order more online.
Those look super yummy.
They are really tasty!
