Happiness is exploring fresh snow together. Last week we had a couple inches of snow which was Madison’s first time to really experience more than a dusting of the white stuff. Bailie was more than happy to enjoy the snow with her! Remember to follow me on Instagram. Many of the photos and videos we post there are not posted on the blog or other social media accounts. It is kind of our favorite place for real time photos and videos!
Madison had no fear of the snow and felt right at home. I think we need a good snowstorm to really put her to the test!
Have a look at how Madison still does her tracking work in the snow and also enjoys running in the snow.
She didn’t have any trouble remembering how to be a little pest who enjoys biting her sister either.
The two of them enjoyed sniffing and tracking in the snow too. They are so similar. Me, being the sensible dog, stayed indoors where it was warm and let the crazy two handle the snow.
At one point, they stopped playing to think up a plan of attack.
I don’t think Bailie was thinking about the attack Madison was about to launch.
There were no hard feelings as they gave some Eskimo kisses and made up. Bailie is so sweet to the little Madison – it kind of makes me sick!
Madison really looks up to her sister Bailie. She thinks Bailie is the coolest hound on the planet, and she enjoys doing everything Bailie does, including exploring fresh snow. Mom says Madison often pees and poops when Bailie does too. Seriously??? I’m glad I am not involved in all that. A romp with Madison now and then is plenty! Paws crossed the temperatures fall around here and snow comes in truckloads soon!
Oh my goodness, it sure looks like a little someone was having a fun snow day!
They really enjoyed it
that is sure snow much fun… and it is the first snow for your little sister… I bet the first snow is the bestest… and what’s better than to discover that white stuff with your sisters…
There is never another time like the first time.
Love the pictures!
Thank you, they had fun.
those two look like such good buddies – the boys would love the snow too but I think I am happy with our sunshine and warm days ๐
My mom is sad we don’t have snow now. Hopefully it will come soon. We are winter lovers.
Torrey would have a blast with those two.
She sure would! They are just nuts.
I think I remember snow…and I think I loved it! Those 2 are so cute together. XOXO, Sparkle
I’m sure you dabbled your paws in snow before you moved south. It is so fun.
Love seeing these two thick as thieves. Always great to have a pup to look up to.
I have my new role as the grumpy old third wheel, but I like it that way. Those two can have their crazy fun!
God for you, Emma! You deserve to be grumpy. I’m glad you stayed inside. Puppy attacks can be disconcerting when we reach a certain age.
You friend, Chablis
I was in snow a few times and absolutely loved it. I rub my face in it
Lily (& Edward)
We love to stick our heads into deep snow!
Looks like Madison loves the white stuff!
She does. It looks like Madison will be a winter lover like the rest of the family.
I hope that you have enough snow to build another igloo. Stay warm, my love. โฅ
We hope to get a big load of snow soon. I hear the cold air is finally coming next week which is a start.
WE are Happy that YOU are Happy with the snow.
Sooo adorable!!
They are cute together.
I bet you were the same way with Bailie when she was a puppy.
I did play with her somewhat, but I also let her know I would only play when I felt like it. The first year, Katie was more likely to play with her. I kind of like to be more of an only dog doing my own thing.
Barley is so jealous of your snow. We’ve had a few flakes in the air–enough for a few to gather on Barley’s fur–but nothing has stuck to the ground yet. It will be Barley’s first snow with a fence, so we’re anxiously awaiting snow here so she can finally play in the snow without a long line! It might also be Rye’s first ever snow, too–she was born in mid-March and we had snow in April, but I don’t know if she actually was big enough to experience it then or not! At this rate, it’s not looking like we’ll get to play in snow until after our holiday travels ๐
Even if Rye was out in it, at that young age, she won’t really remember. It will be some joyous romping in your yard when the white stuff arrives.
Those girls are loving being sisters!!! Hooray!!!! And you’re right — steer clear of them — they’re crazy!! your doodle friend Dash
They really are a good pair. Bailie is so immature, she loves the puppy stuff.
Those are such sweet photos. I love seeing little ones exploring new things for the first time. And your two have such a wonderful relationship.
They are both worn out at night too!
Oh, those girls always with their noses to the ground! You have to at least be proud of that, Emma. They look like they are thick as thieves plotting some mischief there too!
We are hoping for more snow soon too. Our couple of inches got washed away by rain.
We will get some snow tonight, but then rain. The end of the week we are going to get cold and hope it stays so we can get snow that stays too. Bailie and Madison are both really into sniffing, much more than I ever have been.
Those two look like fun entertainment, but I’m with you Emma….I’d rather watch them from the warmth of the outside!
Smileys!
Dory
I don’t have to turn the tv on with those two to watch.
You cracked me up when you said it sometimes makes you sick lol. Those last two photos are just precious. So much love!
The “crazies” are in their own little world, and I am in mine…the civilized one.
What a beautiful precious moment for both of them! ๐ Especially for Madison the puppy! <3 Hope you guys have so much fun in the snow and enjoy winter time! ๐
They have lots of great moments together and so enjoy hanging out with each other.
Looks like loads of fun. We have not had a stitch of snow yet.
We are getting some tonight, but then rain tomorrow. So far, this winter is a major bust.
Emma, I love your HOWL… you are beautiful. I read about you in the tabs. I would be with you inside while your siblings play in the snow. I am a Florida sunshine person, so no snow for me. but I loved looking at the tracking going on in the snow…
I like snow too, to a point, but I’m not interested in hanging out with the crazy twosome! If you like howling, you need to stop by my place. We get quite the choir going on!
We have t gotten any snow yet which I don’t mind. Their so cute together
My mom is really mad we don’t have snow. We all love winter, and this warm weather stinks in our opinion.
So fun to see Madison discovering and enjoying her first snow! We haven’t had any snow yet, but maybe soon. These pictures are precious and truly made us smile!
We just got about four inches overnight. It is disappearing fast, but we all were out in it having a blast first thing this morning.
Emma I think you are taking over the role left open by your dear sister Katie. It’s snowing really hard here for the first time I can’t wait to go play in it. Love Dolly
Mom says I’m turning into a crabby old lady when other dogs are around. I’m happy as a clam when I’m alone with mom. I had a fun walk in the snow alone with Mom.
