Madison graduated from her Puppy Einstein class at St. Paul Dog Training Club last Tuesday night. She started in the class just five days after arriving at our house, and was a tiny nine weeks old! Now she is seventeen weeks old and has her certificate. Such a smart little puppy Einstein!
If you forget how much Madison changed during her class, this photo was taken her first night on the way into the school. She couldn’t sit or stay at the time, so with the phone photo, it is a bit blurred. She actually looks frightened!
What all did she learn in her class? For one, she learned to sit and stay, but she actually mastered that at home. Sit and stay is kind of a must with our photographer!
She also mastered the down and the down stay commands.
The next three photos were taken by Kelly who assisted a few times in class. She also has a Facebook and Instagram page for her dogs. You should check them out as her Doxie is quite the cute model! Tell her Madison sent you!
Madison started working on the heel command. Her focus and heeling was pretty decent. I love this photo with her little back paws off the ground! Honestly, she is Bailie’s best buddy, but when it comes to training and class, she is 100% serious and focused like I was in puppy school and I still am. She does have some of my genes, so it is no surprise!
Each student got to show off a trick. Madison chose “shake”. Check out her focus on Mom! She also learned spin and circle as tricks. Other items worked on in class were the “leave it” command, and come.
Madison may have completed her first class and updated her profile on my Staff Page, but this is just the beginning. In January, she will be taking a puppy agility course, obedience one starts in February, she is still working on tracking and hopefully later in the spring she will start a nose work class. This hound may be small, but she has big plans! Although she will be taking a lot of classes, it is all for fun and exposure, nothing too serious as she is still a puppy. We are all so proud of her! Congratulations, Madison on graduating from Puppy Einstein class!
Love to see little Madison learning so much and having fun with mom!
SPDTC is really going to benefit from Madison and all the classes she is signed up for! Love all the options for puppies.

She can be real proud of herself.

Lily & Edward
Since the day we got her, she has been nice. She is one of those over achiever, goody two, I mean four shoe types I think.
Congratulations, Madison! We knew you were going to be an overachiever just like your sisters, and you’re showing it already! π
I think my younger sisters are going to out do me in no time. I started everything too late in life. The youngsters started stuff so early, they will succeed more than I ever will.
Congrats beautiful Madison, we are not surprised at your smarts!
Thank you. She is our little miss smarty pants furs.
Congratulations Madison! ?
Thank you.
Congratulations, Smarty Pants! You are learning and growing so fast. Keep up the good work.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Mom says Madison is growing like a weed, but a super cute weed.
Congratulations, Madison! I’m not sure Bruin could pass that class today. He’s not very good at focusing.
Bailie has never been focused, but I am always focused and was a top student as a puppy. Madison has some of my family genes in her, and I think her work ethic comes from that.
YAY Madison!!! Huge congratulations!!!!!! Well done YOU!! (and Mom too!!)
She is a real little smarty and will do well in her next classes we think.
OMD OMD HAPPY GRADUATION DAY… Miss Madison. THAT is Super DUPER… now you can move on to your NEXT Class. WAY TO GO.
Next stop, real obedience for big dogs. It will be much more difficult, but she will do well.
Congratulations Madison! Something tells me you will be in charge of everyone soon. Maybe it’s that stink eye you were born with. Love Dolly
She is a real go getter type of girl and we like that.
What a wonderful Christmas present! to be a graduate! Love the photo of you holding the certificate in one hand and her in the other. So happy for her and for you! this girl is going places, for sure!!! Look out Emma!
Thank you! Madison has a lot of big plans and goals and the drive to achieve them!

Wow, little Madison is not only adorable, she’s a genius too! Way to go, sweet little girl! Keep up the good work. <3
So far, she is an amazing puppy!
Congratulations Madison! You’re a real star!
She is a smart little one!
Congratulations! Rye will be doing obedience one in January–after that, we’ll decide if we need to continue with a few more obedience classes or if she’s ready for the intro agility class. Can’t wait to see what little Madison thinks of agility.
Madison won’t be old enough for Obedience 1 until February, but the puppy agility should be a lot of fun. She already loves tunnels.
Good job Madison!
She did awesome!
Congrats Madison!
We are all proud of her!
I’m a little late Madison but Congratulations on passing your puppy Einstein class. Looks like you did a terrific job:)
She did. We are all impressed with how smart she is and how she loves to learn.
