As expected, Madison took her first puppy playgroup by storm! Mom loaded her into the car and drove to Dog Day Getaway where she also goes to daycare now and then, for an hour of puppy fun!
There are all kinds of puppy playgroups out there, but not all are created equal. This one is nice because it is indoors, you stay with your puppy, and there are staff members on hand to monitor puppy play.
The most exciting thing for Madison was figuring out how to jump up on the yellow table. At normal daycare she was always too small, but on this very day, she figured out how to jump up and she did it about a million times. Mom said Madison enjoyed being a bit taller than the other dogs for a change!
She wasted no time getting to know the other dogs, and inviting them to a game of “try to get this toy from me”.
And she was off with her new friends following! I don’t think she saw those jaws approaching from behind!
Another friend seems to be just as crazed as Madison. They were a serious team with a mission!
Once and a while it is good to catch some air, fly after your little friends.
Madison’s favorite friend was the tiny Cocker Spaniel puppy. I think she liked her because she was so small, which made Madison feel big!
Whoa! It looks like an all out game of chase the little guy! Watch your back tiny puppy!
After a while, Madison started feeling a bit bossy, and took it upon herself to discipline her new friend with a swat of the paw! The little one seems to be a bit confused by Madison’s behavior!
There was no shortage of little friends for Madison to play a game of chase with.
The hour of puppy playgroup flew by. So many friends and so much fun to be had. I think Madison will go back for another round next month!
After an hour of afternoon playgroup, Madison came home and crashed. She was pretty much worn out for the entire rest of the day. It was a great opportunity to socialize and play on some new equipment.
Oh boy… I wish I would be there with you… that looks like the bestest playground for pups….
Madison really had a good time and is going to go again.
Elbe loved play time and still loves to be high up – sleeps on the grooming table and uses it as a spring board for higher places. Madison sure looks like she had fun and learned some new social and physical skills. Go Madison!!!
I think when you are always the smallest and shortest, it is fun to be up higher than everyone for a change.
Oh Madison what amazing funs you had!!!! Bet you can’t wait to get back there again
Loves and licky kisses

She will probably go again this weekend.
Love the pictures. It made me feel like I was there.
Mom took tons of photos because there was so much action. It was hard to select just some of them.
I want to go and just watch the puppies.
The hour flew by for Mom and Madison. They both loved it!
You look like a little kid in a toy store
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
I guess it was kind of like that for her.
You are so cute, Madison, and so are your puppy pals!
She is developing quite the ego!
What a fun place to spend some energy! I know you were the cutest girl in the building β₯
She is always popular no matter where she goes.
Oh my gosh, what fun! Not just for the puppies but for the humans watching too! π
The hour flew by for mom and Madison because they both had a blast.
that was precious! I could see she was having the time of her life!!!
She had so much fun, it was great!
Enjoy the aftermath of puppy playgroup for as long as you can! Now that Ducky’s a bit older, she doesn’t tire as easily any more. ?
Madison has already cut back on her naps, but she is good at amusing herself too.
My goodness, such a big bunch of romping fun sweet Madison!
Lots of puppy fun!
OMD OMD what a Wonderful PLAY GROUP. THAT must have been a BLAST.
Madison hopes to go again this weekend.
That looks like a great puppy play group set up! All sorts of things to explore and many puppies to play with. I think that puppy playgroups are one of the most fun parts of having a puppy!
As long as they are good supervised playgroups they are a great tool for helping puppies develop good skills.
What a fun day…plus, it is always good for the older sibling to find an activity that wears a puppy out!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Madison usually stays clear of me as she knows I get irritated with her antics, but Bailie is always fair game. She enjoyed a quiet afternoon for a change.
What a fun outing. And to wear her out, bonus! π
She was really worn out after that hour!
Madison, you are TOO ADORABLE!!!
She is one happy fun loving puppy!
Look at her go what a blast
She went again this morning and is crashed out again. She loves it!
What a great place to play and make new friends. Madison looks like she loves every minute. Lexie use to love day camp, she was hyper her first 2 years and playing with all the dogs wore her out. None of the play places would even let Aspen try. He was young and not interested in anything but playing, but even at 6 months he had to be neutered to play. Madison enjoy every minute of time playing and making friends:)
She went again yesterday and had a blast. She also goes to daycare a couple times a month and is really starting to love playing with all the dogs. Bailie tends to sit in the corner and avoid the dogs when she goes. She is more fearful of others.
Puppy playdates are so incredibly important. You go Madison
She really loves going to play for the hour group. She also likes going there to day care a few times a month.
