Bailie is into air scenting! We call her a professional air scenter as she does it all the time and is really good at it! She knows all the smells in the area at all times. A good scent hound.
Today, Iβm joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by BlogPaws! Donβt forget to stop by and visit some new blogs for fun!
indeed and I bet she loves to do that in february where a lot of love is in the air… at least around the flower shops LOL
She prefers to scent critters…
Oh, oh, what can you sniff???????
Loves and licky kisses

She is always running around with her nose in the air or on the ground. Busy nose!
Very nice, Bailie! And you are so lucky to have snow. We have barely had any all winter!
This winter has been bad. We have some, but we tend to have more ice, and lots of green patches too. Sad.
You are a serious cutie sweet Bailie!
Thank you, kitties!
That would be us – scent hounds! Bailie is definitely the professional. XOXO, Sparkle
She is a super scenter according to Mom.
BOL that’s a job I want!
Bailie sure loves it!
I am suddenly into sniffing too which is unusual for a flat faced breed. I find exactly ever spot fatty Edward was and peed. Mom said it’s nutty
Lily (& Edward)
There are not to many flat faced dogs in scent sports, but there are a few. Happy sniffing.
BOL, River loves smelling too!!! You should have seen her at the farm, she went wild!!! π
A farm is an awesome place for a dog to sniff!
It looks like she’s on the scent again! Could there be a doughnut shop nearby! π
I don’t think she sniffs out donuts, just critters and other smelly stuff.
You are such a professional. Hope your smelling something great.
Most likely the farm up the road.
I wonder how crazy humans would be if we had the ability to decipher smells the way our dogs can. βΊ
Life would change drastically for sure! Going for a walk would take an entire lifetime I think.
You have quite the nose, Bailie! But how come you dogs will never tell us humans what it is you smell? π
We like to keep our humans on their toes.
Way to work that snooter! Cam and I can smell snow when it’s coming. That’s right up there with the neighbors making sausage!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
I would track on over to the neighbors if I were you! Yum!
We like to sniff da air too.
It’s always good to know what is smelling in the area!
Winter air always smells wonderful!
Bailie does her air scenting all day pretty much every day of the year!
So cute! Our beagle was a scent hound, but with nose to the ground. I remember the first time it snowed after we got her, it was so interesting, because I could *see* what she was always smelling – all the little critter tracks in the snow in the woods behind our apartment!
Bailie is both extremes. She air scents to check out the area, but then puts her nose to the ground to track what is right near her.
Stetson is a total air scenter and he’s good at it. He rarely gets up out of his bed, but when he smells food he moves faster than a cheetah!
That is funny! We move faster for smells outside than for food!
She looks very regal when she is scenting!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
She takes is all very seriously.
I absolutely lobe watching dogs air scent! My guys do this a lot after it rains.
Bailie really does it a lot and you can her her breathing change too. At nose work, she always air scents at the start line. Mom has to let her do that because she won’t start working until she has the area cataloged with her nose.
Chloe and LadyBug must be related to Bailie! They both do that Air Scent thing…especially on the boat!!
I bet that is interesting on the boat!
All your dogs have amazing hair styles. π
Bailie has a bad hair day every day, and that is her style. We are waiting to see if Madison’s eyebrows ever tame down…and me, I need to go to the spa!
I love that photo! I once had a “professional air scenting dog”, back when I did search and rescue. Their noses are amazing, aren’t they?
Every time we do nose work or tracking, it just amazes my mom, and we’ve been doing both for over three years now. We know how to use our noses!
She looks as though she is concentrating very hard. I bet not much gets past her nose!
I do a lot of sniffing and use my nose a lot, but Bailie and Madison take sniffing to a whole new level. Those two are amazing!
She looks like she knows what she is doing. Did you train her to sniff specific smells? π
She is kind of a natural talent, but she has a tracking title and K9 Nose Work titles. She knows how to use her nose.
Nicely done! It’s hard to smell in such cold weather, right?
Jean from Welcome to the Menagerie
I would say it is not hard, but it is different. Bailie has no problems in any weather with her super nose.
There is a lot of air scenting going on around here lately.
There’s so much out there, I don’t blame her….
Bailie and Madison both have amazing noses. My nose is nothing to sneeze at, but theirs operate on a whole different sniffing level.
She looks so cute!
Oh she is cute! Also looks as if she likes playing in the snow! π
