If you follow me on Facebook, you might have heard that Madison wants to go into modeling. Madison told me she wanted to follow in my paw prints and be a model just like me. It turns out, Barbara O’Brien Photography was holding some puppy auditions so Madison spiffed her furs and headed on down to the studio!
Back in 2012 and 2013, I did some modeling for Target. Everyone told me I was a natural. I love to pose and do what I’m asked for the camera. Madison said she wanted to be just like me and I have to admit, she is a pretty good model already.
Target doesn’t tell you when your photos come out, which means Mom was always cruising the aisles looking for me. We did find two products, a Dog Bed Cover, and a Crate Mat over the course of a year or so where I was on the packaging. How fun it is for Mom to see her little hound in the pet aisle!
Madison headed off to the audition full of excitement! She could hardly wait to get there and see what it would be like.
The hard part was waiting for her turn. They arrived at precisely the wrong time which put them way down on the list. It was a puppy audition, so there were lots of puppies in the waiting room to play with, but sometimes Madison preferred to just chill on the couch.
After waiting a couple hours that seemed like years, it was Madison’s turn. She got right on set and did what she was supposed to do.
For Madison, the sad part was after the long wait, the photos took about two minutes because she was so well behaved! Now the waiting for a job part begins. Even if she doesn’t get a job right away, she has her portfolio and I’m sure a company will choose her one of these days! What will Madison do with any money she earns? Right now she says she will buy more squeaky toys!
Madison I hope so much that you will get such a fab job like your sis… to see you on a dog food bag or a toy would be so great… and I would buy it just because of you :o) Easy was asked once for a cat walk job, sadly the mama had to say no, she feared for the models who probably had no chance against my big bro ;o)
Madison does like to pass out some love to everyone before she starts working, but she is not too crazy.
I didn’t know you modeled for Target. That’s pretty cool! I am sure Madison will get some neat work, too. Looks like you are both naturals!
It’s turning out that Madison and I have a lot of similarities, but her buddy is Bailie, the naughty wild one!

It seems like I was in some stores and areas, but not all, and then they changed up their entire advertising and there were no more dog jobs. I hear they are back now, so hopefully Madison will get a chance.
I am certain Madison will get a gig, how could she not?
Many companies are looking for common breeds more than anything, but we hope with her sweet look Madison will find some work.

I think being a doggie model is a dream job. You look absolutely gorgeous, E. You’re a natural. Mom would flip out if I was ever in a photo on a package – or anywhere. It’s mind blowing. Good luck to Madison. She is smart to follow in your paw prints.

Mom always wanted to yell, “that’s my dog” when she saw me in Target on a product! It’s fun for me to model and for Mom to see me in the store.
That is SO exciting! Your mom shouldn’ve yelled “that’s my dog”!!!! She has so much to be proud of!

I wonder why they can’t notify you when your dogs pics will be released…I’m sure everyone would love it…so they could go pick up a few of their own pets’ items!

No, she is just growing up in our house which means modeling from day one! Best stay in her puppy class for a reason!
How exciting! I am pretty sure I saw your photo at Target, but I didn’t realize it was you. I told my sister something along the lines of, “This dog looks a lot like Emma, a dog that blogs.” She thought I was a little off my rocker that day.
I can’t imagine that any of the other puppies were as cute and as well behaved as Madison.
You never expect to see a dog or person you know on a label, so we totally get that! It was probably me 🙂

I had no idea you were on Target products! We’ve purchased several Boots and Barkley products–I wonder if you were on the packaging and we didn’t even know it! Barley was just interviewed for a national news segment–she loved all of the attention from the interviewer, producer, camera and audio people, so I’m pretty sure once she sees herself on tv, she’s really going to have a big head. I hope cute little Madison is able to deal with the fame gracefully 😉
