Have you tried the new Backcountry Hero’s Banquet recipes? When Backcountry came out about two years ago, it became our food of choice, and we are excited they have added Hero’s Banquet recipes to the meal plan!

The new Merrick Backcountry Hero’s Banquet recipes give pet parents another way to help support K9s For Warriors. Since 2015, Merrick has been providing all the food and treats for K9s for Warriors. K9s for Warriors is a non-profit dedicated to turning shelter dogs into service dogs who help heal military veterans with PTSD. Last year, Merrick donated $250,000 to clinical research to prove service dogs do help heal veterans!
I received Backcountry Hero’s Banquet Raw Infused dry recipe. This kibble is 38% protein with real deboned beef as the first ingredient. The freeze dried raw pieces are my favorite part and I like to pick them out and eat them first!
Merrick also sent me some of their new Backcountry Hero’s Banquet wet recipe. Most dogs are like me and just love wet food! The wet food starts with deboned beef which is served in a beef and turkey broth, with green beans and carrots. Very tasty!
I thought you might like a close up of the dry and wet foods. Merrick Backcountry recipes are based on an all-natural, grain free ancestral canine diet packed with protein. The recipes are grain and gluten free, and made right here in the USA.
At my house, we like to mix the wet with the dry. Most of our meal is dry, but we add some wet for even better taste! Just having a plate of Backcountry Hero’s Banquet in front of your #bestdogever will bring a smile to her face!
I may hold a UK Pet Passport, but having lived most of my hound life in the USA, I proudly support American heroes and service dogs! If purchasing and eating this tasty Backcountry Hero’s Banquet food helps Merrick support wonderful programs to help out heroes, I’m all for it! A girl needs to eat, why not eat a super healthy meal and help support K9s and American heroes at the same time!

Hmmm…must be you, LOL! We poop just fine, but everyone is different.
I haven’t seen the Hero’s line yet, but I did buy a small bag of the raw infused to have on hand for emergencies, or travel. I love that Merrick is helping our veterans with PTSD, SO many of them come home with it.
They do a huge amount for service dogs and vets. Love them.

i just brought a bag of this brand. i do not use it but i do like the ingredients. i brought the salmon. i also like the venison. i had a coupon for a free bag from my petco pals rewards. i will be donating the bag to the local pet food bank. i know my girls would have loved it but i did not want to change their diet at this time.
We have been eating this brand for a few years now and love it, but if you have another that works for you that is great. Donating a bag is a wonderful thing to do.
