There’s a new tracking dog in town and her name is Madison! Actually, her name is now Ethos Intel Inside CGC TD. We are all so very proud of her! To be honest, I’m a bit worried about Madison taking over everything around here! At 8 months old, she earned her Canine Good Citizen, CGC Title, tracking certification, and now her Tracking Dog, TD Title. To say she is a little overachiever is an understatement!
Yesterday was an ideal day for tracking. The morning was cool and cloudy, the grass was tall, Madison put on her working furs, and was ready to work! There were three test tracks, and she drew track three, meaning she was the last dog. Because the draw was at 7am about an hour from our house, Mom got us all up at 3:30 so we could take short walks, eat, she could shower, and all that with the plan to leave at 5:30. Madison slept in the car until Mom got her out for her track. Track three was 460 yards long and had four turns.
Madison ran the track super fast, just like Bailie ran her TD track, about 4 1/2 minutes. It would have been faster, but Mom doesn’t run behind her dogs, she just walks as fast as she can. Both Bailie and Madison pull like crazy the entire track because they want to run! They both love to track. The above photo is Madison’s track layer, the guy who’s scent she had to follow.Β Mom says he didn’t smell at all, but Madison said he was super easy to follow in the tall grass. What do humans know?
The test was at Kinnickinnic State Park, the same place Bailie titled. There are lots of nice big fields for laying tracks. The sign at the park entrance also makes for a great photo spot!
Of course, there has to be a photo of the team with the judges. They were quite impressed with Madison’s abilities, especially being so young. One of them said, “it was beautiful to watch.” Now both my sisters will be training for TDX tests. They both want to get their TDX and VST Titles so they can earn their Champion Tracker Titles. I’m happy to stay home and keep an eye on the cats.
That is outstanding – or as Harley would bark DOODLEtastic!!! I think you and Bailey better get prepared for lil’ Madison to take Minn by storm. We here in Doodleville are super excited to follow along with all her endeavors. Emma will we see you at BP?
Madison is really making Bailie and I look bad right now! We are happy for her, though. I don’t think we are going to be able to make it to BlogPaws as Mom’s business is way too busy and she can’t be gone for days. May is super busy for real estate. We really wanted to go to Myrtle Beach and see our friends, but it isn’t looking good right now.
Madison you are a super star! I always guessed it… like the peeps of NY who named her bestest park after you ;o)
She is taking the world by storm, even though she is just a little pup.
Good job Madison! What a smart pup you are.
She is really smart and knows what she needs to do. Then she goes back to being a puppy.
Well done Madison!!!
She really did an amazing job!
Woohoo! *Mwah* Well done Maddison!
Loves and licky kisses

Thank you. We are so proud of the little one.
Doesn’t surprise me that Madison is a superstar but I’m with you Emma, feet on the couch watching a good baseball game.
I just don’t see the appeal of searching for someone’s glove in a field. Why? Bailie, Madison, and Mom think it is so much fun. Weird!
Wow that is a large tracking area. You have a great sniffer
Lily & Edward
Congratulations to Madison! She is quickly becoming the star in your pack! Love Dolly

I don’t need more letters. I’ll let Madison do all that work.

We think the sky might be the limit for this little one!
We are so proud of Madison. Bentley wanted to post it on our sports today but thought you’d like to share the news first. Maybe next Monday??
We are super proud of her too. She is really a hard worker for a puppy! Go ahead and put it in the news next week. Thanks for asking!
Congrats to Madison! What a busy little dog she is!
She is dabbling her paws in a bit of everything, but so far, tracking is her favorite thing to do.

Thank you. It is my blog, but I share the limelight with my sisters from time to time.
Whoo hooo that is awesome! Congrats!!
We are so excited. She did so great and at her young age too.
I think dogs, (like people) have different interests. It seems like Bailie and Madison really love to track, and that’s never a bad thing. π
They are over the top nuts about tracking. I don’t get it, but they can’t get enough.
A new star is born!…both you and Baile have a lot of work to do to catch up with this up and coming youngin! however, i know you are all happy for your lil sis.
She is on a roll, but we figure she will hit a speed bump at some point. Right now we are just enjoying watching her blossom.
Congratulations Madison. Good job.
She did an amazing job!
Gah Emma, your sisters are pawsome with their tracking skills. Way to set the bar high for them!
Those two would track 24/7 if Mom let them. They can’t get enough of it and they are really good at it too!
