My sisters enjoyed some clean fun after their surprise baths the other day! I personally think getting the dirt out of their furs reduced the drag and increased their speed!
These two partners in crime went with Mom to the new PetSmart near our house on Monday. They thought it was a shopping trip, but to their surprise, it ended up being a bath trip! Can you tell by the look in Bailie’s eyes that she knew what was about to happen? Madison was clueless and happy until Mom left.
Why were they in such desperate need of baths? Answer, they have been watching too many reruns of Hogan’s Heros on ME TV. The two of them had the brilliant idea to build a tunnel out of the yard by digging under the house and up into the front, unfenced yard, similar to the Hogan’s Heros tunnel. I had no problem telling them they would never get that goal accomplished! Mom figured out why they were so dirty when she saw the hole they had started and decided to take them in for a bath.
Bailie had a PetSmart clean up a while back, and Alex, the groomer who Mom really liked, is now at the new store. She did a great job getting them clean, and doing their nails. The two of them were all fluffed and ready to go home in no time!
Once they were home, they had some energy to burn off! The wild ones started their play ritual to get ready to rumble.
And, they were off racing! Chase and wrestle are their favorite games.
Bailie got a hold of Madison and showed her who the bigger hound really is.
Madison is fearless and had no trouble trying to show Bailie she is the bigger hound.
Just in case the circus makes a comeback, the two of them practiced some contortionist moves.
Back to the old standard wrestling moves.
Once all the fun had been had, stress of the baths was gone, clean fun was done, the two sisters posed for a photo before heading inside for a nice nap! Amazingly, they both were still clean, and Bailie had her little hairdo thingy over her eye once again!
You girls are fresh clean and beautiful!!
They clean up pretty nicely.
Beautiful, clean, and so full of energy! My mom is so very thankful I have shown no signs of wanting to dig holes. Tomorrow I go and get my bath and furs styled. XOXO, Sparkle
We have never been into digging here either, but those two crazy ones got the digging itch and decided to take on a big project. Mom has shut is all down.
your groomers is an artist!! you look great!!! and maybe the dunnel work can wait for a while like col.robert e. hogan once said: who wants to escape from all this beauty ;o)
Careful! If they can make it out to the front yard, they may head for France next!
oh then I had the chance to see a gbgv for real… I’ll help you with the am-euro-tunnel :O)
You can all meet in the middle if you each start from your own homes.
They look lovely. I wonder if they will associate the digging with the bath? I’m thinking no. π
Sadly, I think “no” too, but they now associate shopping at the new PetSmart with a bath!
It’s a good thing these two have each other. They are so dang cute. And fluffy.
They really get along well together. Madison does everything Bailie does and Bailie loves having someone to do mischief with.
BOL it makes us nutty too
Lily & Edward
I usually get my bath at the spa, but it takes several hours to strip my coat and when I get home, I’m too tired to be wild.
Wow…your sisters take after bath zoomies to the next level!!!
There’s a reason I call them the crazies…they are really crazy pups, but they have tons of fun.
I have absolutely no idea why the human fail to appreciate our excellent tunneling skills. I’ll bet if we discovered hidden treasure they’d change their minds. Maybe? Maybe not. π
Mom has never been a digging fan, but she did buy us an above ground tunnel that we love.
Mommy’s not a fan of digging either. Fortunately, I’ve never had the desire, but my little sister did go through a digging stage recently. That seems to be over . . . we hope.
Ahhhh, fresh and clean! I am unfortunately very familiar with those holes in the yard myself. Ugh. Sassy is determined to dig an underground bunker. Remi has been watching and learning. :-/ I bathed Remi twice in a row one day because she was displeased with the clean feeling and found some dirt again. LOL
Thankfully the project seems to have ended, but Mom has a close eye on them for a while just in case.
OMD! We are going to get waterboarded tomorrow. Pierre and I always get rowdy after our baths.
If you do good zoomies, there’s no need for a blow dry!
Those two were sure looking good after their baths! There seems to be nothing like a bath to energize a pup. Good thing they stuck to the grass in all their playing!
Except for their excavation site, there is only grass, so we don’t get messy very often.
love how they have so much fun together!
Those two do everything together. Mom wanted Bailie to have a sister and best friend and she got her wish. I prefer to do my own thing most of the time. Katie was my BFF and I am not looking for a replacement.
Go girls go! Yhat was some serious fun!
I bet you have some good cat chases around the house too!
Look how great you look after your bath!
They were both shiny clean and fluffy.
It’s good to get the furs cleaned now and again.
None of us are fans of getting cleaned up, but it always does feel good when it is over.
Y’all look good – and like ya had fun!
Those two have more fun than we could imagine.
Clean fun around the Ranch seems to involve mud. Your sisters do a nice job of playing clean. π
The yard is grass, so it is easy to stay clean…unless they go to the spot they dug up!
OMD! Bailie and Madison are just too cute together! All their playtime photos and videos remind me soooo much of Shadow and Angel Callie when they were pups! Always wrestling, chasing each other and squirrels, and then crashing next to each other for naps. I wish we could afford two more dogs – a younger one for Ducky to play with and an older one for Shadow to snuggle with – but that’s just not an option right now. And they’re getting along better as Ducky gets a little older and a little more settled.
Katie and I were just like Bailie and Madison when I was a youngster. I’m just not interested in hanging out with my sisters. I prefer to be alone or with Mom, but it is nice for those two that they have each other.
