This week Mom took me for a walk in the park including a dip in the lake. I was fine not going on vacation with my sisters, but I Mom feels guilty and will make it all up to me. The walk was the first thing. Today I get to do nose work practice with friends by myself, and I get to visit Gramma this weekend!
Things started off swell as I found a wabbit down the path! I had my assistant put an arrow by the wabbit as he wouldn’t stop to pose for a photo with me in hot pursuit. That wabbit was in a hurry to hit the road but you can see that white cotton tail! Nothing gets me moving faster than seeing a wabbit!
Thankfully, it was fairly shady in the woods, but the temperature was still around eighty and I was hot. We decided to walk down by the lake to get me cooled off a bit so I would enjoy my walk more.
Of course, I could not resist the urge to get right into the lake. I love to soak my furs and get a drink when I can. Mom didn’t mind at all.
Now that I was all cooled off it was back on the trails. Our entire walk was about 45 minutes which was long enough on a warm day.
As we got close to the end of our little walk, we came upon a picnic area which reminded me that August is National Picnic Month. Sadly, we forgot to bring a picnic basket, but maybe on another outing we will bring one along. Will you be having a picnic this month?
That concludes my walk with Mom and the beginning of some fun, Mom and me stuff, the next few days.
I just love how Mom splits her time with all of you. You are so lucky to have such a caring loving mom ( and grandma)!
We keep Mom busy, but she likes it that way.
Mommy and me days are the BEST. Enjoy your visit to Gramma, Happy weekend! XOXO, Sparkle
They sure are! I love visiting my Gramma too.
When they have to make up stuff to us it’s usually funner

Guilt is a wonderful invention!
Seeing the wabbit must have been fun and I’m sure your lake romp was fun too!
It was a fun walk with my mom.
You have a good mom to make that missed trip up to you! If you went to Southern Missouri, you could go SWIMMING with swamp rabbits – for real – that is what they are called. they have long legs , are bigger than cottontails and they swim like frogs -FAST!!!
I would hunt them because I hunt wabbits and I swim too!
Yay, we’re so glad you are getting some special time with your Mom, Emma! It looked like the perfect day for a swim, and we’re sure you needed to cool off after going after that wabbit. Enjoy the rest of your Mom and me time!
I’m eating up all my time. It’s rare in a multi pet home as you know.
what a beautiful place to walk and a bonus was the rabbit!
Wabbits always make life more fun!
That rabbit knew it was time to skeedaddle with my girlfriend on its trail! We have never gotten in the water before but think it would be lots of fun.
You poor boys! How can you live in such a hot place and never get to swim? We need to take a nice beach vacation together!
What a nice relaxing walk, Emma…We think an August picnic sounds like great idea!

At a shady picnic area!
I luv chasin wabbits too!
It’s my number one hobby on walks and in the yard!
What a sweet outing. I think the dip in the water was just the thing!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
It sure did feel good!
Looks like a great walk with a place to cool off in the water. Aspen was taking me for walks but the temp. 85-89 F. I had to limit him to short walks and every day; just too hot
The heat is no fun. Most of our big walks are before 8am to avoid the heat.
Emma, that dip in the lake looked refreshing! (and we kitties love wabbits TOO! Chasing one would have been extra fun!)
Mom had an outdoor cat as a kid who used to capture wabbits.
Special time with mom is pawsome.
Wabbit! 3 bum swings! 3 more!
I’m with you, never say no to a swim.
Enjoy Emma!
Nose nudges,

I love to jump into the water when I can!
You just reminded me that Jaxson has yet to go on a picnic nor a wine fest. WOW! I’ve got to get on my game Emma. Lot’s to do!
Picnics are great, wine, don’t know. Mom isn’t a wine person, so we haven’t done that. Mom’s dog Trine used to go to the vineyards on Lake Constance in southern Germany for walks with Mom.
Some great one on one time
I really love to spend one on one time with my mom.
I think Sampson has been reading your blog for too long, he’s been in pursuit of the Cotton Tails around our neighborhood too!
Wabbit hunting helps keep us young!
