What is the purpose of Labor Day anyway? I know it is a long weekend and that makes my mom happy, but is it a day to work, play, rest? My sisters and I disagree on the purpose. I clearly think labor means work, so I’m working hard helping Mom with some things around the house.
Bailie, no surprise, finds the purpose to be the opposite of labor, rest. She has found herself a nice shady spot under the tree on the lawn and plans to spend her day napping. She was not happy about being disturbed for a photo. I guess Bailie is kind of the lazy sister anyway.
Little Madison says it is a day like every other day, a day for lots of fun. I don’t think she ever has anything in her brain besides fun. It appears she is looking for a playmate for Labor Day.
I’ll be doing my thing as the good hound helping Mom with the work around the house. My sisters can do their own thing. We all know who the most loyal hound in the family is! Happy Labor Day, no matter what you choose to do!
I guess everyone has their own interpretation, Emma, and you are the good dog! I think we’ll do a little of both – some laboring and then some resting afterwards. 🙂

The Boys are resting this Labor Day – the drywall man is afraid of them so we have to leave the house whenever comes. He’s coming today LOL
I don’t know about drywall men. I’ve never seen one, but the name alone sounds a bit questionable!
