I had a grand golden birthday celebration yesterday. It was more low key because I’m not a wild pup anymore, but it was me and it was fun. I also got to go to my nose work class which I love!
One of my biggest worries was my cake. Mom and I picked out party supplies I liked so that was in order, but what would my sisters do for a cake since they don’t really bake? Fortunately, they know I absolutely love pumpkin and they managed to order a pumpkin cake mix for me! Being sisters of a canine Julia Childs put a lot of pressure on them to do well!
The two of them divided up the work with Bailie doing the mixing of the cake and Madison putting the cupcake liners in the pan. There were some issues with counting the liners as Madison is still learning her numbers but Bailie helped her get it right.
One thing they did learn from me is to taste your batter before baking it. I think I’m lucky there were any cupcakes as they sure went to town on the batter!
This fashion hound wanted to go all out on the glam factor! I chose gold glitter hats, sun glasses, gold polka dot plates, and a tiara to add to my gold glitter hat and my pretty boa! Everything a girl needs for a golden birthday celebration! Mom says we look like three aliens, I say we look like a group of fashion hounds. What do you think?
The cupcakes smelled fabulous. I elected to get started eating before anyone decided to drool. Sometimes Bailie will drool if she has to wait too long to eat.
Hard to believe, but the cupcakes were heavenly! We all absolutely loved them. I think our photos speak volumes about the taste!
Madison took her sweet time eating her cupcake, but she did eventually finish it. She might be the slowest eating dog on the planet earth! Meanwhile, Bailie and I were thinking a second cupcake would be mighty nice!
Of course, little Madison had to try to get on Bailie’s nerves by making a silly comment about her party hat. You know she is young because she obviously forgot she was wearing the very same hat, LOL!
I opened up my gifts first thing in the morning. Waiting is something I’m not real good at! You know, Bailie gave me her spot in the elements trial Sunday which is like the best gift ever! Mom bought me a case of my favorite Alpine Rabbit Stew. Silly Madison got me this squirrel photo holder, not sure what she was thinking but she found it pretty funny! It is cute. My Gramma found me the perfect card, Fashion Diva, that is totally me! What great presents for turning eleven! Thank you to everyone for all the pawsome birthday wishes too! Time to start paw padding it forward to twelve!
Excellent! What a wonderful, golden day! Happy Year 11 Emma! Great post, your doodle friend Dash (I will be 10 and a half on October 3!)
Enjoy the full year of being a perfect ten! My mom is panicking now that I am eleven!
wow that was a challenge… Emma is a baking pro, so that were big pawprints you had to fill this time… but you completed that mission and I love the golden pawty!
We probably should have invited Golden Retriever friends but it was nice with just family. My sisters did good.
What a wonderful birthday celebration! We love the outfits you chose, Emma, all of you look beautiful. Wow, your sisters sure looked nervous about getting your cupcakes right, thank goodness they pulled it off! That’s because you’ve trained them well, of course. π
Those two don’t have their paws in the baking realm very often, so it was a big challenge for a big event, but they did well. The pupcakes were totally yummy!
Here’s wishing you the best birthday ever Emma! enjoy all your gifts and celebrate for the entire month!
I’m contemplating a one year celebration, but we will see if Mom gets on board or not.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!! I love your glam party, you definitely looked like 3 glamorous fashionista hounds! Gorgeous photos, and great job on the pupcakes Madison & Bailey! That is sisterly love.
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
My entire day was perfect! I had a wonderful day and I’m proud of my sister’s baking job too.
Love this great post!!!! Happy birthday Emma!!! I just LOVE all those super beautiful pictures!!!! Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you. It was a perfect golden birthday!
Your celebrations are always the BEST! So happy you had a great one!!!!
A glam hound girl has to know how to celebrate in style!
I am so glad you had a grand time, you are the Queen of class!
I think I should have been the queen of England, but Mom took me out of my homeland!
You look so beautiful. I have always said on a scale of 1 to 10 that you are an eleven!! I asked you a question on my blog today but really need to know…will you go to the Blogville picnic with me? Bailie and Pierre can tag along and watch Madison while we dance!
So sorry, we didn’t read after the main post. I have replied.
What a party, E! WOW! Bailie snorked up her whole cupcake in one bite! And yours must’ve been so delicious, it almost knocked your hat off! Madison’s good manners might cost her her cake sometime. It would have if I were at the party!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We all love to steal from Madison, including the cat, because she eats so slow and doesn’t care, but she did eat it. Bailie is our official chow hound!
Emma, it looks like you had a fab birthday! You are all so photogenic!
Thank you. I had a perfect birthday!
Sounds like the pawfect Birthday Pawty Emma!
xoxo,
Arty & Jakey
It was pawsome!
Happy Golden Birthday! It looks like a wonderful celebration. The details are perfect for a glamorous dog! Bailie’s expression in the second photo is priceless. She really does look worried. I’m glad the cupcakes were delicious!
They did a good job with the mix and I sure love pumpkin!
I can’t tell if those were actually birthday shots or a view from New York Fashion Week! Happy Birthday, Emma!
LOL! That is what a group of fashion hounds gathered for a birthday party looks like!
Wow, Emma. By far the most fashionable pup party I have ever seen. Your sisters really managed to come through with those pupcakes. And the Alpine Rabbit Stew? Best. Birthday. Gift. Ever! Happy to see you had a celebration as special as you are. <3
Thank you. It was a fabulous and perfect birthday!
Glad you had such a great birthday!
I made the most of it and loved it.
That looks like a fabulous – and very fashionable – party! Love the pics of the girls making your pupcakes, but really love love love the ones of you all enjoying them. Too cute! Especially with your party hat askew in that one shot. Happy birthday again!!
Sometimes it is hard to really eat and keep a hat on straight. They make these hats for human heads so they tend to slide on my silky furs.
What a fabulous Golden party! We are so jealous of your fashion and those cupcakes looks delish! π
I didn’t realize until after my birthday, I should have invited some Golden friends to the golden party. Oh well.
Your sisters did a pawsome job on the pawty!
Those two did pretty well for a couple of wild hounds!
A grand bday for sure! What fun
It was a pawsome day!
I loved the pictures and the look and caption for Bailie making the cake was priceless. It made me laugh out loud.
It also looked like Bailie started in on the cupcakes without you. π
Glad you had such a pawsome birthday Emma!
Bailie is our fly by the seat of her furry pants girl with no regard for rules and stuff. I know how to use my manners. The cake was amazingly tasty and I get a second helping too! Glad you got a good laugh, Bailie is good at creating laughs.
