Would you creep through a tight tunnel to win some frightfully delicious treats? This witch bets you would and I will even show you how to creep through that tight tunnel using my devilish sisters as guinea pigs! It’s Howl-o-ween season, let’s get the haunting festivities started!
Welcome to the 2017 Trick or Treat Giveaway Hop!
The third Trick or Treat Giveaway Hop runs from October 20 – 30, 2017 and is being hosted by our pals at Kolβs Notes and Beagles and Bargains! We are so excited to be participants all three years! The first year I learned to hold a spoon in my mouth, and last year Bailie learned to use the doggy doorbell!
The Trick or Treat Giveaway Hop is a sponsored event. All brands and bloggers have provided compensation to be included in this giveaway. All content and opinions expressed are those of My GBGV Life and may not reflect the values of all brands and blogs involved.
Let’s start with our spine chilling trick. The idea came to my mummy a while back when we tried the silly sport of Barn Hunt. We all love agility tunnels, but the Barn Hunt tunnel is real tight and we didn’t want to go through it. I quit Barn Hunt after my first try, but Bailie and Madison are still working on it. Mummy realized if Bailie was ever going to succeed, she needed to go through the tunnel. We don’t have any hay since we don’t live on a farm, how could she train?
The tunnel would need to be soft as werewolf fur so no one gets hurt, and small as a dead mouse. Couch cushions seemed like the wicked ideal solution. The eerie masterpiece was constructed right in the living room, but after initial testing, the side pillows were replaced with boxes as the mysterious fabric on the pillows grabs fur and makes tunnels collapse.
Little Madison has no fear when asked to creep through a tight tunnel because she is pretty short and skinny as a skeleton. Come on through little doggies! What are you afraid of???
Bailie on the other paw is way too tall, like a monster. To teach her to creep through the tight tunnel, she started by doing a down with her head and body lined up to the tunnel entrance. Madison was always on hand to supervise and make sure nothing horrific happened.
Next, Mummy took a high value treat, liverwurst in this case as we were out of fresh eyeballs, and pulled it along the floor in front of Bailie. Keeping the treat on the floor keeps dogs in a creeping position allowing the dog to creep through the tunnel. Bailie is a quick study and after about ten practice runs, she got it down. Do make sure your tunnel is fairly stable so it doesn’t fall on your dog and frighten her. Use soft lightweight supplies for safety in case it does all come tumbling down.
Have a look at our short horror film video demonstrating the creep through a tight tunnel with Madison and Bailie, as well as what happens if Bailie does not creep! After learning to creep, Bailie has tunneled in every Barn Hunt run she has done. Now we need to figure out how to get her to find the ghostly rat and tell Mummy about it!
