Last week, Mom and I went pumpkin shopping at Pahl’s Market. We love going there for our pumpkins as they always have a lot of fun Halloween things too see. Remember, we were there last month for some fall shopping and I got some painted pumpkins.
As usual, they have way too many pumpkins. Being short I can’t even see the end of them when I look! How will I manage to choose three to take home, and I need to check for the Great Pumpkin too!
What do you think about white pumpkins? I don’t think I’m too fond of them. Maybe if I had a lot of orange ones with a few white ones it would make a nice decorative kind of thing but white alone, no thank you.
We found a display with some white pumpkins, but it seems a bit bland. Mom and I like lots of pretty, bright colors.
On the way into one of the greenhouses where many of the pumpkins reside, we saw this cute metal Halloween sign. If we had a spot for it, it could be fun to have.
Inside the first greenhouse, one side was all mums. I would say miles and miles of them in all kinds of sizes and colors.
The other side was all pumpkins. Crazy amazing how many pumpkins they have, and there are even more outside.
On the way out of the greenhouse area, we found this adorable welcome sign. Kind of odd to see it at the exit, but it is still cute!
Outside in the midst of all the pumpkins I found a bale of hay to rest on for a moment. Wait, what is that I see? Are you kidding me? There is a squirrel running around in the pumpkins! Those tree rats just can’t mind their own business. Aside from that squirrel, pumpkin shopping sure was a fun outing with Mom. I got three fairly small pumpkins for me and my sisters. Hope they work out for us!
that’s a difficult decision…let’s say the #37 in da third row next to the one with the long thingy on top, but not the one with the dark spot could be the pawfect one for you… guess what? my semi-genius mother had a senior moment yesterday and thought howl-o-ween is tomorrow… now our pumpkin is carved but it will probably look rotten till howl-o-ween… so we need another one… maybe you can throw me one over the big pond please? #167, the one in da 45th row next to the one what’s a little bit smaller looks not bad… just saying… ;O)))
You can save your pumpkin by wiping the inside with Clorox bleach wipes. If that doesn’t work, I’ll start the tedious work of counting out the requested pumpkin!
I donβt like white pumpkins. Orange pumpkins are what it is all About!
Nice bright colors are best. I agree.
We can’t wait to see your display at home! What a great spot to shop! Cool post, Emma! have a great day, your doodle friend Dash
Mom and I love to go there and do some shopping.
Wow, that’s a whole lot of pumpkins! We agree about the white ones – maybe just one in the middle of the more colorful decorations. What a nice visit to the farm – I think fall is the best time for decorations, and it gives you so many great photo ops, Emma!
Fall is the best photo op time there. Christmas isn’t bad, but Halloween is much more fun.
Goodness, how could ever possibly choose?
It’s pretty tough!
What a humongous batch of pumpkins! It does look like a great way to spend the day though!

I like to walk around and smell the smells with mom there.
In our neighborhood people are painting pumpkins TEAL to indicate that their goodies are peanut/nut free. I think white pumpkins would be easier to paint than orange ones. Mom won’t let us have paint brushes because Elbe chews the handles and pulls the bristles out. When is that kid going to grow up???? Chablis
We are not into the peanut thing. We eat them and are fine and if someone has such an issue, then they need to pay attention. We wouldn’t trust a painted pumpkin to tell us the truth! No eating paint brushes, Elbe!
Definitely ORANGE! That is what Halloween and fall are about. What a great outing. XOXO, Sparkle
I totally agree and orange looks better with our furs too.
I’m with you! The pumpkin HAS to be orange!!! I love the colors of falls, our leaves have changed and I think they are getting ready to fall. π
It was beautiful here the end of last week but then we got a huge rain storm with tons of wind, and now the ground is pretty colored instead. Bummer.
Looks like it was a great mommy and me day. What fun!
Oh we had a great time. I love to be alone with my mom.
what a great place to pick out pumpkins and other fall decorations. So much stuff.
Mom says she loves it but she always loses a lot of green papers when she goes there, LOL!
I agree with you about the white pumpkins. You, Ballie, and Madison each have a pumpkin. What about mom? Doesn’t she get a pumpkin too?
Mom doesn’t care so much about a pumpkin, so just the three of us have pumpkins.
We haven’t gotten any pumpkins. I am loving these pictures of you and think you are the cutest punkin’ of them all! XXOO Bentley
So sweet as always! We just have our three, and I still have my painted one I bought last month.
