Mummified Liver Bone Cookies sure sound delicious don’t they? I mean seriously, who can turn down anything made with fresh liver? I know at my house, liver is a food favorite and I love to find new ways to bake with it! Miss food snob loves liver, so I’m trying to make more treats she will eat.
Since these cookies are made with fresh liver, let me remind you to clean all your cooking equipment asap, as liver loves to dry, stick, and stain if you give it a chance. For my cookies, you need fresh liver, eggs, milk, ground oats, brown rice flower, parsley, and unsweetened coconut flakes. A blender or food processor is also necessary.
Start by pureeing the fresh liver so you have one cup of liquid. Try not to lick the blender, no matter how tempting it is.
Next up add the milk and eggs and let it blend. It doesn’t take too long but it should be a thick liquid.
Now you need your arm muscles because you need to pour the liquid into a bowl, add in the parsley, oats, and flour and mix well. Try not to get any paw fur into the batter as it tends to stick in teeth when eaten.
To give the mummified liver bone cookie effect, you need the coconut. I sprinkled a bit in the bottom of my silicone bone molds.
Add the tasty batter over the coconut to fill the bone shape completely. I used a spoon for doing this part. As always, I did my duty of taste testing the batter and it is creepy good!
Right before popping the cookies in the oven, add some coconut to the top. Remember, the coconut is what gives the cookies their mummified look. If you have other pets in the home, DO NOT leave these unattended as I guarantee they will come along and eat them all gone!
All told, you will get about twenty of these Mummified Liver Bone Cookies using molds like mine. Don’t they look good?
It is upsetting, but someone has to taste the finished product and that someone is me. I had no trouble snapping one up right off the plate! The smell is enough to attract every werewolf in town, so do be careful!
Can you tell I love these? They are slightly crunchy on the outside, but mainly chewy and simply delicious. I gave one to the food snob and even she wolfed hers right down! You have a week left until Halloween! That is plenty of time to whip up a batch of Mummified Liver Bone Cookies for your dog, don’t you think? Download my recipe here and enjoy!

Well, even a food snob deserves something tasty now and then.
