I’m guarding my new Brentwood Home dog bed. Yes, this odd shaped box does contain a super comfy, stylish bed! If you are a Facebook friend you may have seen this photo yesterday. Today, I’m going to reveal this bed and tell you all about it!

I was asked to go to the Brentwood Home website and choose the bed I would like to have as well as the size and color. I like a bed with sides on it, so I went with the Runyon. Because I’m not all that big, I chose the medium size, and the sandstone cover because it matches our living room furniture. If I’m going to have my own couch, it should match! Remember, Mom is big on things matching! I was expecting to receive the bed pictured above.
Now when that long, rectangular box arrived, I was wondering how this could possibly be the bed I had ordered. Carefully, I opened up the box and found my new bed was indeed inside, but it was vacuum packed. Actually, it is a smart idea because it stays clean and odor free while being shipped. Now all I had to do was pop the bag and watch my bed come to life!
At first my bed was a bit wrinkly, but having been suffocated for who knows how long it is to be expected. I hopped right onto it and decided it felt pretty good! The look is definitely fancy, and the orthopedic mattress felt good under my eleven year old little body!
It may have felt a bit too good, as I quickly put my head down and opted for a nice nap! The Runyon has a sturdy bolster for me to lean against and rest my head on if I want. For older dogs with arthritis or joint pain, the Runyon Pet Bed features two layers of the same premium CertiPUR-US certified foams. A top layer of memory foam provides cushion, while the orthopedic support base creates a sturdy foundation. The high density foams are long-lasting and won’t flatten out, even with larger breeds.
So what is the catch? It is so nice, even the cat keeps wanting to sleep on MY BED! Nothing is worse than that cat stink on such a nice bed. Not only is he lying on my bed, he is taking a bath, the nerve! What is a girl to do?
Thankfully, the Brentwood Home pet beds have machine washable covers and another waterproof cover over the mattress. By simply unzipping the cover, I can toss it into my washing machine and get the cat odor off. If any one spills on my bed, I’m not worried either since the mattress has the waterproof cover!
The cat problem was resolved, but then my sisters discovered my bed! Madison especially enjoys snoozing on it. Bailie and Madison are a bit like Siamese twins, if you find one, you find the other. They do everything together including trying to sleep on MY bed! I’m glad the one I ordered isn’t really big enough for them both! I’m not even worried about my sisters messing up my bed because it is made of furniture grade fabric with lock-stitching so it will hold up against scratching, tug-of-war, and messy treats – important if you live with these to crazy ones! If the unthinkable does happen, I can also order a replacement cover or liner rather than a whole new bed!

We have the exact same bed and LOVE it! (We will be reviewing ours at the end of November)………I will say, Cody has COMPLETELY taken it over! And…it is one magnificent bed, it is the best bed and the BEST MADE bed we have ever received!

That is a really nice bed. Mom puts sheets on ours because washing them is such a pain. I cannot believe that “the cat” actually took a bath on your beautiful bed. BOL! BOL!

We think it was inevitable that you were going to end up having to share that bed, Emma! We just got one of these beds too and it was pretty cool the way they packaged it. We got the same bed as you, only in a different color. It is a very nice bed!!
