Happy Thankful Thanksgiving to everyone! I’m sure thankful to have this big bird to cook and then eat. I remember way back when, before I became an accomplished chef, Mom would make the bird, but now it is up to me.
I’m especially thankful for the Butterball Turkey Talk-Lineยฎ. I was so excited about cooking and eating this giant bird, I forgot to defrost it. Hopefully with a quick phone call, I will figure out how to rectify my mistake!
Madison is trying to help get the table ready. I don’t think she knows how long it takes to make a turkey. It will be a while.
Oh my, I think the little one has lost her mind and her patience! A dog has never jumped onto a table at our house! Now the question is, should I discipline her or let it go because it is Thanksgiving? This whole jumping thing started because Bailie taught her to jump on furniture. Younger siblings! They make a hound just want to howl!
Finally, I got the bird done, and my sisters are ready to eat, sitting quietly, and politely while they wait to be served. They should be thankful to have me as their sister, but I’m not sure if they are or not.
In case you need some fun trivia to keep the guests amused while you finish cooking that perfect Thanksgiving meal, here are a few fun facts:
- There are 293 ways to make change for a dollar.
- A sneeze zooms out of your mouth at over 100 m.p.h.
- There’s no Betty Rubble in the Flintstones Chewables Vitamins.
- TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.
- Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite.
- Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.
- The average person’s left hand does 56% of the typing.
- The cruise liner, QE2, moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns.
- The sentence: “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” uses every letter of the alphabet.
We are all thankful for our family and friends both in the fur and online! The Blogville Community we are also involved in is a wonderful place! Most of our friends there we have never met, but they there for us through thick and thin, and for that we are thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
PS: I told Mom about what Madison did, jumping on the table I mean. She said that is alright. The girl has drive and will be a better nose work dog if she goes after what she wants. I think my mom is nuts!

Be careful! Bailie is Madison’s role model and has taught her to jump on things. We are still in shock around here! Happy Thanksgiving!

The Johnsons and Abby Lab
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
First, Happy Thanksgiving! Second, yes, your mom is nuts, but she is also kind, funny, motivated, intelligent (well…maybe – I mean she HAS gone to the dogs /hounds). God bless you all, especially little Madison, turning into a setter (on the table) can be hazerdous for hounds – I’m setting on windowsills and plant stands now, so I know. I ate the left over corn bread muffins, and barked at, or “visited” with all the dogs on the Purina Dog show today. I licked the screen a bunch of times. Chablis thinks I’m too wired up, but, this is only my second Thanksgiving, and there were too many good smells for me to resist. Your admirer, Elbe
Thankfully, we are all pretty mellow. We hope the table incident was a one time thing. Normally there are chairs around the table making it tough to find a spot to jump. We shall see. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Turkey Day!
Hope you’ve had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We had a wonderful day. Hope your Thanksgiving was pawsome too!
Happy Thanksgiving, sweetie! I am so thankful for you. XXOO We love all of our GBGV family!
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday today! Love, Emma
Oh Madison – we love your drive! I hope that you all enjoyed your turkey!!! I loved your trivia – it made me laugh because somethings were so unexpected. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
We love to have fun and laugh whenever possible which is why we chose some odd trivia. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one!
Your sisters are lucky to have you looking after things there, E. I wonder if Madison could jump into the garbage pail. Thatโs always been my dream. Thereโs pizza crust in there, you know….
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Mom always gives us some of her crust, so we don’t have to dumpster dive for it! Bailie did steal a turkey leg off the counter last night, but Mom got it back. No harm done to the dog or the leg.
OMD, I wish I could jump on the table! I’ll put that on my bucket list…..
I hopes you guys have a most FABulous Thanksgiving! and I hopes you got lots of that turkey for all your hard work!
Kisses,
Ruby โฅ
Mom usually has chairs around the table so it is nearly impossible for us to jump up there, but Madison saw an opportunity and took it. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Good job in the kitchen and thanks for the fun trivia…who knew!?!
Sometimes trivia is fun, especially when it is odd, off the wall stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all,xx Speedy
Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!

DakotasDen
Thank you. As usual, we love to have fun and bring smiles and laughter to our friends. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too.
Hahaha what is she at my house!!! Happy Thanksgiving
Funny thing is one of the first thoughts that popped into Mom’s mind was you and your dogs!
Wow! Your mom let the dogs do the cooking?? Boy if we had that chance we would have a lot better foodables than the crap our mom cooks!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I’m Chef Emma and I’m pretty handy in the kitchen. My sisters are not as talented, so I handle things on my own!
Emma my dear – you always make me smile!
All I can say is, Mission Accomplished!
